Beginning of week: She is not happy. I gave her some Armor Si yesterday and today a pretty potent tea. I pH'd it to about 6.2 because I believe the medium is a little high right now according to my little meter you see in the pics. I normally just use it for monitoring the moisture in the soil but noticed the pH kind of drifting higher so I figured a lower pH would help. Leaves are crispy and curing upward after turning crispy. Definitely not light burn cuz it has been set to about 950 PPFD and kinda just popped up out of nowhere. End of week: She's still truckin' along. She looks like shit but I think she will do ok till harvest. I'm going to give her some Armor Si tomorrow and make some tea for the next day. Also, fungus gnats are mostly dead. Looks like another battle field on the bottom of the tent. Diatomaceous Earth works great, you just have to reapply if you water the last batch of DE. For a couple days, I will only water from the bottom to let the top get really dry and leave the DE on top of the soil. They should all be dead after a couple of days of bottom feeding. But so far, it seems to be working. Just wish I didn't have to deal with them at all. Trichomes are still mostly clear but definitely getting some cloudy in there. The calyxes themselves still need to swell, also.

I'm trying to use Diatomaceous Earth to rid fungus gnats. It's working to an extent but there is still quite a few. I've been watering in the AM and applying DE by noon. Then leaving it till water next AM. How long till they are gone?

Hey there, Dealing with fungus gnats can be a real nuisance, but using Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is a good step towards controlling them. It's great to hear that it's working to some extent, but it's not uncommon for it to take some time to completely eliminate the problem. Your approach of watering in the morning and applying DE by noon is a good strategy. DE works by dehydrating and ultimately killing the insects that come into contact with it, so it needs time to take effect. Typically, it may take a couple of weeks to see a significant reduction in the fungus gnat population, especially if they're already established in your grow space. Keep up with your current routine of watering and applying DE, and be patient. Over time, you should notice fewer and fewer fungus gnats as the population diminishes. In addition to DE, consider other methods to tackle the issue, such as improving drainage in your soil, allowing the top layer of soil to dry out between waterings, and using sticky traps to catch adult fungus gnats. With consistent effort and patience, you should be able to get the fungus gnat problem under control. Hang in there, and keep up the good work! Happy growing! 🌱

@fogskum, just an update.. this is the 2nd time I've grown it and no signs of hermie. I've just heard of others getting hermies with this strain. I'm pretty happy with it. This one smells like candy 🤤 she didnt stretch like I had hoped. I stressed her out a lot, as you can tell. Still no hermie tho. Hope this helps

@@fogskum, this is my second time with this strain. She is quite a stretcher. I've heard of people getting hermies due to Ethos not backcrossing this version. This one seems fine tho. 🤷

@Philhsy, thank you. She didn't stretch like the last one so she didn't fill out the tent like I had hoped.. but I am happy with her so far. She smells like candy
