I believe at this point, I had re-ammended the soil and fed a compost tea. Still catching up. PH issues due to watering with unpH'd tap water (8.0 pH at 360 PPM) so that may have been what threw her off. I never flushed, just kept watering as normal with rainwater (7.0 pH at 15 - 20 PPM) only pH'ing when I make compost teas (6.5 pH - 800 PPM)

I'm trying to use Diatomaceous Earth to rid fungus gnats. It's working to an extent but there is still quite a few. I've been watering in the AM and applying DE by noon. Then leaving it till water next AM. How long till they are gone?

Hey there, Dealing with fungus gnats can be a real nuisance, but using Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is a good step towards controlling them. It's great to hear that it's working to some extent, but it's not uncommon for it to take some time to completely eliminate the problem. Your approach of watering in the morning and applying DE by noon is a good strategy. DE works by dehydrating and ultimately killing the insects that come into contact with it, so it needs time to take effect. Typically, it may take a couple of weeks to see a significant reduction in the fungus gnat population, especially if they're already established in your grow space. Keep up with your current routine of watering and applying DE, and be patient. Over time, you should notice fewer and fewer fungus gnats as the population diminishes. In addition to DE, consider other methods to tackle the issue, such as improving drainage in your soil, allowing the top layer of soil to dry out between waterings, and using sticky traps to catch adult fungus gnats. With consistent effort and patience, you should be able to get the fungus gnat problem under control. Hang in there, and keep up the good work! Happy growing! 🌱

@fogskum, just an update.. this is the 2nd time I've grown it and no signs of hermie. I've just heard of others getting hermies with this strain. I'm pretty happy with it. This one smells like candy 🀀 she didnt stretch like I had hoped. I stressed her out a lot, as you can tell. Still no hermie tho. Hope this helps

@Professor_Chaos, yes I can tell 😁 ah, that's no fun if it hermies but it seems like a fun strain

@@fogskum, this is my second time with this strain. She is quite a stretcher. I've heard of people getting hermies due to Ethos not backcrossing this version. This one seems fine tho. 🀷

@Philhsy, thank you. She didn't stretch like the last one so she didn't fill out the tent like I had hoped.. but I am happy with her so far. She smells like candy

@Salasasu, thank you πŸ™ it would've been a better run if I knew more about organics when I started. Not too bad tho.
