Thanks for checking out my diary! I'll be growing in a custom made stealth, perpetual, steel storage cabinet - I've been growing for years in a similar cabinet, and built this one after working out all the kinks in it.
For lighting, I'll be using a custom built 238W fixture built by True Northern Lighting, running at about 180W watts from the wall.
For Veg/Clones, a simple 25W LED board. Main reason for using a low powered LED for Veg/Clones is because I'll be cutting clones from each plant right before I flip to flower, which means they'll have almost 3 months before I flower them, so they need to remain small and manageable. This also makes training much easier!
Week 1...
Oct 9 - Put seed in shot glass around 6pm.
Oct 10 - 8am - Seed sank easily in shot glass, moved to damp paper towel in baggie.
Oct 11 - 8pm - Taproot long enough. Got the seed in a Rockwool cube, put inside a humidity dome, and put on top of a grow tent with lights on inside.
Oct 13 - 8am - Lift Off! Sprouted from Rockwool.
Feel free to ask me anything!
Oct 21-27: No issues are anything to report. First set of leaves look kind of strange, but they'll be topped off soon anyway, so no need for concern.
Nutrients are still 1/4 strength from last week - water consumption is minimal, so next water/nute change will be next week.
Oct 30 - Topped. Nutrients and res changed at 1/2 strength nutes.
Nov 2 - Recovering well!
No issues to report - smooth sailing thus far! Roots are looking quite healthy and bright white. Algae starting to grow a little bit around the net pot, but not concerned. Cleaning it off is easy peasy.
Nov 12 - Trimmed most large fan leaves, changed Res and using full strength nutrients now after 2 weeks of 1/2 strength.
I could have probably started full strength nutrients weeks ago, as the Medi Bomb is really resilient and the leaves are a dark green and healthy.
Roots are super white, starting to really thicken up! PH still very stable.
One thing i noticed, though, is that one of the stems is growing in a mutated state. It is much thicker than the other branches, and has nodes in various non-uniform locations. I think it's called Polyploidism (extra genes), and it'll be interesting so see how it affects the rest of the grow.
Nov 21 - Trimmed up! Lots of growth in the last week.
Nov 25 - Recovering well!
Still no issues at all regarding PH or plant health that I can see - super easy grow so far!
Nov 29 - Filling the net well - Going to trim and take some clones for the next round in a couple days, and trim off all undergrowth below the net.
Also noticed a new little sprout coming through the place I topped her for the first time! Neat! Going to leave it grow i think for fun.
Nov 30 - Trimmed undergrowth to prepare for flip. Took a couple clones for next round and changed res.
Will flip to Flowering Dec 3rd!
Dec 3 - Light's out 6 hours earlier than usual.
Dec 4 - First day of 12/12.
Dec 6 - Trimmed and trained.
No issues whatsoever as of yet. Easily the easiest strain I've grown so far. This and Bubble bomb have been incredibly easy and steady. Really looking forward to seeing them in full fledged fruit mode!
Dec 11-15 - Trimmed again, and topping up the res with about 5L of water mid-week now.
Dec 17 - Drinking about 2L a day at least.
Clones are still not showing any roots, but I think next week they'll start.
Dec 18 - Roots on clones! Took about 15 days in a bubbler with no additives. Just plain water Phd to 6.
Dec 20 - Trimmed and trained some more. Stretching a lot!
Dec 25 - Happy XMas!
Dec 26 - Final trim for now. Mostly just large fan leaves blocking bud sites. Trained some more.
Stretch seems to be done now. Time to Bulk!
Nice cabinet 👍 I'm actually growing the same strain but in soil and the phenotype I get from it is really bushy so I hope yours will be too to fill this net ✌️
@growyours,Yeah I hope it will not slow her down ! She is very resilient to feeding and the stems can take a purple colours ( I can see it on yours ) so it can be take for a Mag def. And like you said the stretch is really good with her. The only thing I regret is to have left the popcorn buds until now 😁✌️🏼. Happy Growing bro, I'll be around
@OutForReal, Hah, thanks for the heads-up! I need to find an hour of free time to update the diaries hah. I think i messed up the timer though for 3 days (left lights on 24hrs for 3 days straight before noticing), so hopefully not too much damage! The stretch has so far been quite real hah
@growyours,I'm back to tell you to be careful with the stretch bro : mine was huge. It's a pretty resilient strain : I can't wait to see you flowering as your stems are already big like my actual one 😍😁✌️🏼👍
