Hey, anybody got an idea what's up happening with my girl #2?
It started on day 23 and got worse. I increased the distance to the light by 10cm on day 24.
On day 25 I was wondering why the soil was still so moist and found that there was a layer of perlite on the bottom of the pots which may have fucked up the draining. I'm not sure about that, but I removed the perlite from the bottom and added a little more soil and put them back in their pots. IDK if that was even the problem or if I fixed it that way.
Any suggestions appreciated as I'm a total noob.
@BeefWellingtons, hey thanks for the thorough explanation. I'll keep an eye on it and try not to overwater it.
The yellow tip of the leaf is just from the flashlight of the cam (on the top-view pic from the same day you can't see it).
But the soil was/is still wet, so i'll wait a little more.
@weezard, well soil looks wet, which is fine as you may have just watered, However leaves curling downward and it looks a little like yellowing on smaller tips. A plant that small shouldn't be having nutrient issues in soil while so young. There should be enough in your soil to get them to week 2.5-3 imo. The two most common mistakes are incorrect ph and overwatering at this stage. So I would say its more of an educated guess. Put your finger into top of soil to 2nd knuckle and if you feel moist, wait another day and try again. Honestly at your stage I think I was water feeding every 4 days or so at 1/10 the container volume (this was past on to me by @stick). Every other day is too much, they need to dry out a bit between feeds.
@BeefWellingtons, first of all thanks for having a look!
I planned on every second day, but I skipped today (so tomorrow will be the 3rd day). I'm still searching for the right rhytm.
As I'm still a total noob I'll have to ask: what exactly did you notice? The slight downward curl of the leafs?
