Not sure why I thought I should wait until I have all the soil I need, why not start now? Here’s the first round of the Twenty20 Auto grow from the A-Team! Starting strains: Chic-lit F5 Auto (Girl Crush Tier 2 Conversion), Strawberry Biscotti Auto (Syrawberry Biscotti Tier 2 conversion), and Bubble Triks (Triks x Bubbawhip). This entire grow will be autos, so I don’t need to worry about light schedules changing around. I’ll start the first round now with a second round that will start in a couple more weeks. I promised myself I’d do more to the grow room by the time I started, but I’ll be making upgrades as we go. This time we are starting out with root plugs for germination. I usually start out with paper towel but since I had so many plugs at my disposal, why not? I wouldn’t think they’d be worse than paper towel. And here we go! We can count this as day 1 for the first light. All beans have popped and the plugs have been put into their new home.

Day 10 : light intensity was increased when the first true leaves emerged. There only one that is behind the rest, but I’m sure she’ll catch up. I have 3 in seedling pots that I was going to cull, but since I doubt I can afford the soil for the next round of autos anytime soon, I may transplant into pots with what little soil I have left.

Day 20: the girls seem to be doing well with this new water only approach. I love how much time I save by not mixing nutes, but I still feel worried that I’m screwing up. I guess it’s just a big change for me. Chick-lit looks good for the most part. One of the girls have some rust colored spots. I will do a soil slurry and gather more data and see if it’s something in the soil that needs corrected. Strawberry Biscotti seems to be behind the rest of her sisters in terms of growth, but they very well good be some short and squat ladies. One in particular is still very small but still looks very healthy. Not something I’m worried about tho. Bubble Triks coming in with the compact node structure. A couple of them look like they are ready to full into flower mode very soon. Definitely a bubble looking plant!

Day 33: I didn’t realize it’s been almost two weeks since an update. I suck lol. I’ve mostly been struggling with this living soil, water only change that I’ve been trying out. So far I can say I am not a fan. I haven’t had this many problems with my plants since Advanced Nutrients. I’ve got rust spots, yellowing, and leaf curl. What I have noticed is that these problems are only seen on the Chic-lit girls. Is it possible that these problems can only be strain specific? I’m doing water only with the rest of the girls because they are looking great, but I’m watering with Nectar for the Gods with Chic-lit for the rest of the grow. We don’t need any stunted beauties in flower.

nextlight mega pro... your plants look happy with the light, are you happy with the light. i was lucky enough to pick up a mega pro at a price i could not refuse, 250 dollars, brand new. so i am wondering what height and power levels worked for you. any info would help,,, i also was not a huge fan of water only living soil,,, but blame probably rests with me. happy gardening
