Strain Choice: For this very first run of 2024 i'm going to continue my growing journey with spanish breeders and my choice fell on sweet seeds and their red hot cookies. Of course the flowers look beautiful but i always wanted to try some tangie variant. I feel like the fruity taste would be a perfect pair along the sour diesel notes of Sour Ripper for the upcoming summer. Whats better to look forward to than toking some red hot cookies and go skating in these hot summer evenings? I hope it will be as good as i imagine it to be. 💚 ☘️ Strain description: Top-quality genetic as a result of crossing a clone of an American “Super Strong” Cookie strain – Tropicanna Cookies – with a clone selected from a second American strain – the potent, mandarin-scented Tangie (Girl Scout Cookies x Tangie). We chose exotic lineages with red flower phenotypes when crossing these two varieties. The red flowers develop in around 60% of the offspring and tend to appear in the last few weeks of flowering, beginning with the lower branches and flowers before spreading to the top of the plant. Red Hot Cookies (SWS83) is a “Super Strong”, highly productive and resinous strain with high THC levels of up to 25%. It has an excellent scent and taste; it is sweet, deep and dense, with marked tones of mandarin and mango, plus hints of fruits of the forest. Indica: 40% Sativa: 60% THC: 17-25% CBD: 0,1% Indoor Yield: 500-600 g/m² Outdoor Yield: 400-600 g/plant Indoor Blooming: 8 weeks Purple Flower: approximately 60% of the specimens Effects: Stimulating, Psychoactive Taste: Fruity, Mango, Mandarin, Fruits of the Forest, Sweet ☘️ I decided to try to rank my grows and their outcomes. So i can have a list of the strains i can consider of growing some again in the future. So this is just for personal tracking. I'm curious where "Red hot cookies" will sit after this grow. Day 0 - 21.01.2024: Since my lovely wife surprised me with a little bit bigger tent, we got a bit more room to work with! ♥️ So i aim to grow two strains this run! Yippie! I soaked the seeds in water over night and put them directly in the soil today. We popped four seeds and hope for two (or three) to take for the ride. For the starter pots we go for 90% BioBizz Lightmix and 10% BioBizz Worm Humus. Since it is still pretty cold, we got them a seedling heating mat to have their roots warm and cozy. Also i sprinkled some Great White - premium mycorrhizae into the pots. So lets hope these beans will develop into some healthy seedlings! Fingers crossed! Day 1: The first signs of life! Two of the beans seem to have popped and are climbing their way towards the sun. They are speedy! Lets hope they'll be separating nicely from their shell. 2/4 so far! happy times! 🌱🌞💚 Day 3: Three little babies are already born and extracted themselves from the shell successfully! Well done little lads! The fourth one is visible, but still has to get her head up. So far so good. Environment is allright with 18 - 23° and humidity between 65 and 80%. Lights are on 18:6 on 20% power. Day 5: I had to let go of seed nr 4. It was still not fully up, so i tossed it. I'll go with these three. The babies look allright. Environment is pretty much on point and i think well continue like that. They just get misted with ph'd water 3-4 times a day. Besides that i just do nothing at all.
