Disclaimer: I fill my diaries on the go and update them during the week. So if you like to get all the information and pics of innocent plants getting the herbie101 treatment, always check back on the last week to get the FULL picture (of a grower trying hard not to kill his plants). Thank you, have a wonderful week and happy growing!
Day 14: Welcome to the third week of this red hot cookies run! I have repotted them today to their final 12l/3gal homes. The soil is 80% BioBizz Allmix and 20% Worm Humus. The lower third of the soil got some additional perlite for better drainage.
For this week, i aim to let them settle in and feel at home. So we don't change settings and will be still aiming for that 65 to 75% RH, temps around 25Β° and some airflow. I'll up the light intensity to 40% in some days, when they had some time to adjust.
I don't plan to feed them additional nitrogen for the next two weeks minimum. The Allmix with the worm humus should have more than enough nutrients to get them by for quite a while and their baby leaves are still lish and green. So they should have plenty of storage. But i'll still add Root Juice and bacteria to their water to promote them some juicy root development.
I'm gonna switch from misting to regular waterings this week, but we start with little doses to avoid overwatering.
Plant training is not going to happen until their topping which may happen in the next week. Instead we practice grower training and try to keep our hands of the little ladies as much as possible.
Overall we got a good start and i hope the girls will feel at home in their new pots and enjoy life.
Day 16: The gals seem to be fine. I upped the light to 40% and sometimes the temps get a bit high (28-29Β°), but i hope i could fix that abit with increasing the ventilation. And as soon as they drink more and more water will be present, temps should go down a little. At the moment its quite stable at 25-26Β°, which is almost perfect.
They got 0.1l of water today today. Starting to introduce them to regular sips of water instead of spraying.
Day 18: The sweet ladies are developing fine. They are making noticable growth during this week and seem to be happy with their new home so far. I let them chill until at least day 25 before i do some hst on them. Thank you @nonick123 for the good advice! Temps are a bit more under control between 24Β° and 26Β°, RH sits between 60% and 80%. No signs of pests at all. So environmental settings are just fine for this week. Sometimes the best thing you can do, is doing nothing. They get another 0.1l of water today. We'll increase the watering amount next time.
Day 20: I had one day where the humidifier didn't work, but the gals did not seem to care much about that. They got their 0.1l sip of water today. I'll double that next week because it feels like so little, but they do not show any signs of underwatering, so i guess we're still fine. All in all a very good week, not much to do besides having an eye on the environment and water regularly. Next week could be the topping week, but not before the weekend i guess.
