Greetings fellow growers!
I'm looking forward to doing another grow, and this time it's the legendary Northern Lights strain from Sensi Seeds. The anticipation is palpable as I immerse myself in the world of this iconic strain, known for its rich history and potent effect.
Northern Lights, a staple of Amsterdam's cannabis scene in the 2000s, continues to captivate enthusiasts with its robust genetics and soothing Indica-dominant traits. This strain boasts a fascinating lineage, comprising NL #1, NL #2, and NL #5, which are believed to be a combination of Afghani Landrace, Thai, and Indica varieties. For more detailed information about its genetic makeup, you can explore Seedfinder's database.
For the germination process, I opted to combine two methods: first, the glass method, followed by germination directly in soil. The glass method involved a 24-hour soak in purified water, ensuring the seeds sank to the bottom before removing them. Subsequently, I transferred them into BioBizz Lightsmix soil enriched with Mykrorizza to promote healthy root development nutrient symbiosis in 0.2-liter pots.
Following germination, the ladies were treated to a day of darkness before being exposed to approximately 200 PPFD under dimmed Lumatek lamps. The staggered germination dates from 7 to 11 December showed the different reactions of the seeds.
Watering proved to be a learning curve, as I initially provided 50 milliliters but later realized that 30-40 milliliters would suffice in the greenhouse environment. This adjustment will be noted.
As we await the next stages of growth, I'm filled with excitement and curiosity to witness the Northern Lights flourish under my care. Stay tuned for updates on this promising grow!
Happy growing,

Hello again, fellow growers!
As the journey with our cannabis plants continues, I'm excited to share the latest developments from our grow space. About 8 days ago, the plants underwent a significant transition as they were repotted from their initial 0.2 liter pots to larger 1.5 liter (0.3 gal) pots. Utilizing BioBizz Light Mix as the substrate, we ensured optimal conditions for their continued growth. Mycorrhiza was added to enrich the soil, fostering a healthy environment for root development.
👉 In hindsight, the decision to repot may have been a tad premature. While the root formation appeared promising, there was a need for more time for root penetration into the substrate. Nonetheless, we proceeded with care, adding a 3-centimetre layer of expanded clay for drainage purposes.
During the repotting process, the soil was moistened with 250 ml of water per 1.3 liters of soil, ensuring hydration without overwatering. Following this, no further watering was administered. Additionally, as a preventative measure against fungus gnats, a yellow board was implemented. Thankfully, the BioBizz soil has proven effective in deterring these pesky pests in the past.
👉 In the pursuit of optimal growth conditions, the light output was increased on the 3rd day of vegetation. We elevated the PPFD from approximately 200 to 350 by adjusting the Lumatek lamp to 80 watts and maintaining a distance of 30 cm (12 inches).
As we continue to nurture our plants, I eagerly anticipate the experiences that lie ahead with this remarkable strain.
Happy growing,

Hi Guys
I'm returning to my grow report. Because I was recently on Tenerife (beautiful island and worth a trip btw) and tasted my way through the local terps 😶🌫️ 🇪🇸, this has been a bit short.
We stopped in vegetation week 1 so now it's time for the second week:
👉 Lighting, climate and pot size have remained the same
👉 To prevent pests, yellow (against fungus gnats) and blue boards (against tripes) were set up -- I pray that this will not be a problem in this grow :)
The plants have grown well this week and look healthy and happy. However, at the end of the week I noticed that the seed leaves are turning slightly yellow. This could of course be a normal process due to the vegetation, but I will still water with fertilizer at the next watering.
I use the BioBizz palette as fertilizer
During the vegi 🌱
▪️ BioBizz Fishmix
During flowering 🍇
▪️ BioBizz Grow
▪️ BioBizz Bloom
▪️ BioBizz TopMax
▪️ BioBizz BioHeaven
Happy growing,

Hi Guys
Let's continue now with the vegetation week three and one thing is for sure there are still some...
👉 Lighting
The Lumatek was increased from 80 watts to 120 watts on vegitation day 20. This corresponds to dimming from 40% to 60%. This corresponds approximately to a PPFD of 400.
👉 Pot size
On day 19 of the vegetation phase, the size was changed from a 1.5 liter to a 3.5 liter pot. This was done due to slight deficiency symptoms in the lower part of the plants and due to their size.
👉 Climate
Has remained the same.
Grow Report:
--------------
The plants also grew well during the week and still look healthy and happy. Once again, the genetics coped well with the stress of transplanting and got used to the new pot very quickly. Unfortunately, the plants were a little too dry before transplanting, but they also coped well with this.
This week they were also watered with fertilizer for the first time, 2ml BioBizz Fishmix per liter of water. The plants are watered as soon as they are close to being dry. The plants are watered with a total of approx. 400 ml in two stages of 200 ml each. I wait approximately 5-10 minutes between watering.
Have fun growing,

Hi Guys
On we go with the fourth week of vegetation and one thing is for sure, there are still some...
👉 Lighting
The Lumatek continues to run on 120 watts at a distance of 30 cm. This is approximately equivalent to a PPFD of 400.
👉 Pot size
Still in 3.5 liter pots. We will repot next week.
👉 Climate
Has remained the same.
Grow report:
--------------
The leaves in the lower part have continued to show deficiencies. Due to the repotting, the deficiency symptoms have not changed in the leaves that were already affected. Watering is still carried out with the vegitation fertilizer scheme (FishMix instead of Grow).
The plants were topped at vegitation day 25 and these cut parts of the plants were used as cuttings. The plants tolerated the topping well.
Have fun growing,

Hi Guys
here we go again with the fifth week of vegetation and one thing is for sure, there are still some...
👉 Lighting
The Lumatek is now running at 160 watts at a distance of 30 cm. This corresponds approximately to a PPFD of 450.
👉 Pot size
New in 19 liter pots. Soil has been enriched with green manure and mycorrhiza.
👉 Climate
Has remained the same.
Grow report vegitation phase day 29-35:
--------------------------------------------
- Repotting at vegitation day from 3.5 liters to 19 liters
- Adding Mykroriza fungi for a good microbiological life
- Insertion of greenery through spinach in the top layer of soil
- Roots looked very good, white and healthy
- Drainage with expanded clay balls. approx. 5 cm
- Plants have handled repotting well
- Vegitation day 34: Multitopping - Mainlining
- Vegitation day 35: LST with plant wire
Have fun growing,
