Munky Potted them on Sunday in a mixture of coco and perlite with a little bit of potting soil. Clones were taken from a flowering plant so will try monster cropping these ladies.

Munky Uped the nutrients to 800 ppm for this week, the biggest one shows the most growth and 2 of of the smaller ones are starting to show better growth. The 2 others are still small but I do see a little bit of growth on them.

Munky The largest one has grown really well and I started low stress training on it as well as one of the medium clones that showed some good growth. The 2 smallest ones however didn't show very good growth, at least the side branches have started growing. I'll up the nutrients for the bigger ones to 950ppm for the next week. Need to move some plants into flowering soon to make space for my Critical Kush clones.

Munky Would've liked to have them in flowering this week but it's taking longer than expected to finish my grow room, will have to push to finish it on Monday when I get back. Had a lot of growth the last 2 weeks and did some light defoliation, can't wait now to get them into flowering.

Munky So I did some defoliation on them on Wednesday, still new to technique so hope I did it right. Only took the big fan leaves where I could, where the shoot was still a bit too small I just trimmed the fan leaves so can open everything up nicely for more light exposure. Moved them to a different section in the grow room and put the other light in, now running 2 1000W lights on them. Giving them a few days to recover from the defoliation and switching them over to a 12/12 schedule on Saturday. Can't wait to str flowering these ladies!

Munky Finally done with the flowering section, 2 weeks overdue but eventually done. The last week of vegetation went well, they are looking good after the defoliation. Switched to a 12/12 light cycle tonight so looking forward to updating on my first week of flowering next week.

Munky Been really hot out this week but luckily the grow room didn't get too hot inside, good to see the system work quite well. First week of flowering done and I can see some pistils coming out. Did a light defoliation on Wednesday and again on Sunday, I was worried it might be a bit much but they seem to have handled it well.

Munky The Ladies are looking good, seeing a lot more pistils coming out. I've done very little defoliation this last week, there are still a lot of branches and leaves I want to cut off but do not want to overdo it and stress them out. I'll do some more during this week.

Munkystarted grow question 7y ago
How often should I be defoliating during flowering? I still have a lot of small low down branches and leaves to cut, I don't really want any popcorn buds.

hey monkey what may seem as a nothing leaf pluck to you is actually HST for the plant, but sort of clearing the undercarriage leads to fatter buds, the main idea is not to shock your plant too much after all the more light energy the leaves absorb the more energy the plant has to make flowers right? another more fool-proof way to get better results is to prune the flower nodes that you can tell will make popcorn buds just one or two levels on the biggest branches and it will help the plant buff up real nice. you dont want to pluck leaves that will turn into branches down the line ! good luck bro ! 🚀

Munky Thanks everyone for their coments and advice last week. Had an easy week, didn't have to do much other than feed them. Leaves on two of the plants have some spots on them and on the tips which looks like nute burn, I'll drop it down to 1100ppm for the next week and see how they do.

Munky It's been really hot this week, went and got two extraction fans to help cool it down a bit. Noticing some premature browning of some of the pistils, apparently that's nothing to worry about so I'll leave it be for now and see how it goes. Got some nice looking buds developing and they are filling up nicely with crystals all over.

Munky So looks like I might have a Cal-Mag issue, I'll have to go pick up something for it this weekend. Other clones from this mother flowered for 9 weeks, doesn't look like I have 3 weeks left on these judging by the discolouration of the pistils. The feeding schedule changed from end of week 5 so let's hope they can bulk up a bit.

Munky Had a lot of rain the last week, mostly in the evenings so the humidity at night got to about 83 at its highest. With the windows and everything open during the day I managed to get it down to about 47. Picked up a magnesium deficiency, should've seen it coming growing in coco eventhough the nutes contains some Mg. All I have to try and fix it is epsom salts so adding a little to my nutes. Most of the pistils have changed colour but I'm seeing some new ones popping out, looking at the tricomes though there are some milky and a lot still clear. Haven't seen a lot of growth to the buds really in the last week, still very small with no real mass to them. Not happy with where they are for 6 weeks done.

Munky Took the lights apart and gave them a well overdue clean, didn't realise just how dirty they got, have one blown LED but that shouldn't be too difficult to swop out. Seeing a bit of bud goth again so feeling slightly more confident for the final 2 weeks, looks like the Mg deficiency is pretty much under control now. A good easy week though, had some time to properly tend to my out door plants and take my clones for my next grow, will be growing some Critical Kush.

Munky So this will be the last week on nutrients before starting the flush. The buds are looking better and the room smelling fantastic. Busy getting the veg room ready so I can have some good weed all the time!

@Turbo_Cabbage, thanks man. Hoping it gets sorted out quickly, don't like these nutrients I'm using much though so will be switching to green house powder feed after this grow.
