Seed #1 goes into moist paper towel in zip lock bag on ceramic plate onto warm router. It's joined by a separate seed of a different strain.
Jan 23
Seed #1 isn't opening very well or taking off like the other seed.
Jan 26
Calling it quits with seed #1. Replacing it with seed #2.
Jan 29
Seed #2 looks much better. Going into the soil with a zip lock humidity dome over it.
Feb 1
Popped above the soil. Seems to be slow growing and tilting. I want to make sure it's not damping off and also not avoiding the light, so I've removed the humidity dome and raised the lights a few inches to avoid both.
Feb 5
Keeping the moisture tent on really helped with the growth. Hopefully now after I water I can remove it.
Feb 8
I've kept the moisture up in the mid 80s. Plant seems to be doing well.
Feb 14
Just about time to move from the cup to the 3 gallon bucket. I'll start preparing the soil in that bucket now for transplant in a couple days.
Feb 15
Transplanted to a well-watered 3 gallon bucket with about 90% Ocean Forest and 10% Happy Frog. The roots will love the water I've mixed thoroughly into this soil. I'm expecting a perk-up on the leaves soon.
Feb 17
Having this second light on in the tent bumped up the temps to low 80s.
Feb 22
Really starting to thicken up! The soil underneath is still plenty moist even though the fan is blowing on it 24 hours a day. The roots will grow more quickly as the water dries up and the roots continue their search for more.
Mar 14
Looking okay. Flowering started this week! Some leaves are looking like they are being sacrificed by the plant. The top leaves being so thin makes me wonder if the lights are too intense. I've lowered them from 80% to about 60%.
Fed 3/4 gallon of RAW GROW 6 days ago. Seems to have taken it well. Getting close to needing another drink.
March 18
I've moved the plant to a separate tent from the other, so that I can flip that plant to 12/12 light schedule for flowering. That plant is going to need all the space it can get too. This second tent is quite a bit colder being in a different room with only one grow light. For now I'm going to default to a 24 hour schedule, but will soon be switching to a 20/4 schedule to give some sleeping time. We're just about ready for another round of feeding either tonight or tomorrow.
April 2
LST is really working well. Letting the plant fully sacrifice the yellow leaves before I pull them off. Fed a half gallon of RAW BLOOM yesterday and a full gallon 2 days prior.
Apr 11
The plant is now actively sacrificing lower, less important leaves. I've used flexible garden wire to separate the side colas from the main cola to help light get in. Things are fattening up and trichomes are developing.
April 18
Fading a lot this week! I need to pull out the microscope here soon to see how the trichomes are developing. Fed a gallon of RAW BLOOM yesterday.
April 23
Fading leaves and turning purple. I'm making sure to do my due diligence in removing all dead leaves between the buds as they die, so that I'm not having dead leaves stuck in the bud as it dries. Trichomes aren't quite where I want them yet. The ones nearest the light are orange, but not much orange is anywhere else.
