I made a concoction of living soil using ingredients I could find of subcools formula. Theoretically all i need to add is ph balanced water. And a tea once I decide to flower. I'm waiting for some gadgets[ph and moisture meters]to come in before doing any extensive watering.
After some adjustments needed due to the heat of the lamp, I was able to stabilize my tent temperature to under 26c.
I had to move the light to 2 ft away dimmer at 80% as the tips of new leaves shooting up fast and showing light burns. Mysoil PH climbed to 7.5 so I adjusted ph using big bud by advanced nutrients which drops my solution to 6. This will work for the time being. I've opened up the tent to allow air to flow more freely from the room as the outside air being pulled in had less than 400ppm after some careful measurements. This lead to drops down to 330ppm. I have since closed the vent. Opening up the tent increased co2 levels by 2-3 times. I overkilled fan department added a 16 inch oscillating fan. In the morning it has a strong smell before lights on.
Slight issues with calmag due to RO water. Added a couple drops of calnesium to fix. I added voodoo juice for this week only. I moved the light 24 inches away as the stretching seemed to be causing baby leaves to burn but am not sure if it was just short term calmag def. Temperature control is vital as rises above 26 seem to be the root of visible stress: I've since kept temps near 25 or below. I put FIMing because one of the four main tops fell off due to the type twist tie I used. I anged to a soft l rubber coated wire ties.
I should be putting up my scrog net now I guess...maybe next tie down if she allows. Dropping temps to 18 at night is the biggest challenge: it makes her more nice n frosty looking. I still can't select my nute line so no point in shown m off.
She isn't stretching like i thought. Its likely because ive had my lights too close at 24 inches. Even though my light is dimmed at 80% my grow light is making tips curl so I moved it to 36 inches away.
Any closer causes light stress. I also have to avoid letting my temps go above 26. At 100% power the tent heat can become unmanageable and require AC cooling. The last two hours of the day I'm maxing light out at 100. 80% otherwise.
The buds are pop corning up. Longest bud length is 6 inches. The smell is coming in strong now especially in the morning fresh air. Trichromes are starting to come out cloudy but a lot of clear trichromes.
Nothing amber yet this week.
It's hard to see any upward growth but the buds are getting thicker and ripening. The smell is getting more pungent. The smell eminates and tries to escape the tent when open. The more fresh air she gets the more smell comes out. Idk if I'm burning my trichromes but I have my light at 100 this week but still keeping temps low.
I'm 90% sure this one is in her finishing week here. More amber trichromes are coming in daily.
I don't wanna push her too far like last time because this strain turned pure amber and kinda lost some crystaly luster during the curing process. My light timer, grow tent, and light upgrades really made a big difference in bud development compared to my last run with Runtz basically leading to bigger more frostier buds. I'm dropping temps lower at night. I give it a couple liters a day to keep the top soil moist. Flushed water comes out 6.8 ish. My CO2 exhale bag was the biggest flop as it was expired and did not activate.
I plan on 48 hours darkness before harvest starting today: the day of the eclipse. With the new moon we have a high pressure system that is peaking at night around 1028 dB. Water should be pushed up into the plant from roots. Coupled with lights out....all theoretical witch craft.
I have a small 2x2 dark tent pictured which needs to have AC bring in cold fresh air from outside. If no fresh air added the tent gets humid and stagnant after a while.
The darkness period is bringing out that strong and sweet 'medicinal' smell. If you ever tried weed labeled medicinal youd have an idea of what I mean. I guess thats the orange bud/chemo lineage traits. Before lights off the smell was more towards yeast fermentation smell and not soo sweet.
798 grams for one plant stems and all. 112 grams dry no . This is a bit less than the dwc weigh in but far superior bud and less stem and leaf.
I can fit 9 of these plants under the light in my 5x5. Doing the math to attain the grams per watt. If I had the tent full with 9 of them the harvest with light maxed out 720 watts would be approx 1.4 grams per watt plus or minus variations. I hope my math is right here because that's what I'm putting down. I also only had my grow light dimmer at 80%. So really it's 1.73 grams per watt.
Can I get a math check?
