We have now planted the first seed, Sunset Sherbet as it germanized increadibly fast. The two others went it more of a normal speed so they will be planted 2 days after. We have also used this time to prepare all the different nutrient mixes that we will be using throughout the entire grow. We only make use nutrient mixes that we have made ourselves and sourced from organic material, often leftovers from the food we eat. I''ll go more in depth into what each of the nutrient mixes are in the next week when all 3 seeds are planted, but I can explain a bit around the one we are using in this first stage.
We are using bottled water mixtures of potassium and phosporus, made from boiled coffe grounds, hibiscous and citrus fruit peel fertilizer. We do this as they are extremely rich in calcium, thiamine, magnesium, copper, potassium, phosphorus, B group vitamins. The reason for choosing these two nutrients to start with is because it's the building blocks for growing new plants as they greatly support the development of roots and the stem. Phosphorus is needed for developing flowers, fruits, and root systems and Potassium keeps roots healthy and also aids flowers and fruits.
All concentrates were diluted in total volume of 1.5liters , and about 200ml was used to water planted seed.
I am excited to see where this turns out with our first in door grow, so far looking good but I wont say woop before I've jumped the river.ππ
