Flipped the girls to Flower. It's been 10 days since the last picture so that's why it's such a big difference to week 15 pictures.
All the new DIY lights are done and I have good coverage from edge to edge.
Added ForaNova Bloom into the nutes this week.
@NomNom this is the longest manofold ive ever seen! Haha 16 gallon pots and 13 week veg!? What are your goals here? Im stoked to see what you make of this! 👍
@NomNom,Very cool! I caught up on your SSH diary and the size of these plants is amazing. Especially love that you immediately went for mainlining and kept them super low! :) Best luck with the end of flower and harvest!
@Fullmeltalchemist,This is our first grow. Our goal was just to try things out. I've never done mainlining for LST on plants, wanted to try cloning, and with it being legal here (with limitations) I wanted to see how big I could get a plant and how much it could produce. We have a 4 plant limit here so I've been thinking to run 2 in veg and 2 in flower at the same time. So I wanted to see how much time it would take to fill'ish a 4x4 tent with 2 plants, That way I'd know my cycle time for veg and flower/dry time is fairly standard at 10-14 weeks it seems.
I also have another diary on here with a super silver haze, the two are actually grown together at the same time, I'm just playing catchup with this diary to get it unto speed. The other one is current. I played with cloning, got 2 to go from the SSH but this WC I could not get the clone to take. I let the 2 clones live and sent them to flower, so I have 3 of the same plant with staggered grow times going into flower and I'm going to use that to help understand how many grams per total weeks for a grow I can get. There has to be a optimal time spacing for running 4 plants and it'd be nice to figure out.
@ChefDan420,it was epic until the bud rot took over 1/2 the cola’s. I’m hoping the next grow won’t have that issue now I have a dehumidier and new power line ran into the room for it.
That is almost the setup for fluxing. Although, more defoliated than a flux. Check out this guy's method, I think he wrote a book on it too:
https://www.420magazine.com/community/threads/light-addicts-quick-guide-to-fluxing-featuring-the-original-flux.208400/
also this is my first attempt at maintaining & I topped mine at the first node once I had 3 nodes & let it grow for another week and then took the top 2 beginning colas and clone them. but after that I let mine grow like normal & then lst tied her down. And honestly based on what I've seen with everyone else's grow that mine grew quicker I think because I didn't bring stress to mine and I could have mine in the same shape as everyone else still l. I haven't defoliated any of my branches tho idk if this is going to make me yeild less but I'm happy with how mine is & I know that u r to but I just wanted to explain how I did mine. HAPPY GROWING!
@TrAY5, my advice is to take it simple on your first grow. Doing more things just means more things to try to keep correct.
Look at my more recent diaries for better documentation. Funny Monk, Aurora Borealis, Bikini Atoll, and Naughty Nurse are my most recent diaries (Berry Be Good and Island girl) are both very good as well. All of those have much better documentation. My suggestion would be to look over my Funny Monk diary (growdiaries.com/diaries/25851-funny-monk). The Harvest has the feed/water schedule for all of flower period. The comments also have great information from myself as well as other users, as do the other diaries I listed.
I’d suggest going with a better breeder then Crop King Seeds. They do make good plants... sometimes. Their seeds are very erratic.
Good luck, if you have any more questions just let me know I’m happy to help out a fellow grower.
@NomNom, okay thanks and how often do u water and do to follow the nutes recommended feeding or do u feed less feed more on your grows? Love all your grows and plan on using your diaries as a guide. Will b my first grow soon
@Letgetit, Those lights are one of the main reasons we were stunting the growth because we were trying to get them for flower. The blurples we veg'ed under wouldn't cut it.
I DIY them, using HLG drivers and Samsung Q-Series 2' Quantum LED strips (301b led's). The Q-Series LED's are the more efficient LED lights available on the market right now. You can buy the V2 quantum LED panels from HLG, but I wanted more even coverage edge to edge so I made my own. The 301b led's give off around 2.2ppf/watt.
I made two light that are 2'x2' with one 240w driver running 10 2' strips (half 3000k and half 3500k). I also made one 4'x2' light with two 240w drivers and 20 2' strips (half 3000k and half 3500k). The lights are dimmable, right now the 4'x2' is at 400w (from the wall 350w DC to the lights), and the 2'x2' are at 200w each. I can run them up at max power around 1000w but that would burn the plants.
I think that ur defoliateing so often that its causing ur plant to stunt its growth. she looks awesome but 13 weeks in it should be way bigger. I'm just trying to look out for the next guy as I don't know everything but I believe if you still defoliated but not as much you will experience quicker growth and turn around time but like I said she an awesome healthy looking plant by all means!
@Letgetit, we were actually trying to stunt her, this is our first grow and we were waiting on equipment and working on our grow setup/room. We wanted her stunted so she didn't get too big by the time we had everything read to go into flower.
