Auto Pineapple- Grow 2

Dropped seeds into shot glass of water for 14 hours then moved to a damp paper towel. After 12 hours in the paper towel one tap root was already popped out, one seed was split and nothing to the other one yet. 6 hours after that taproot on one was 1/2" so I planted that in soil. The other two seeds split and you could see the beginning of the taproot but it never grew past that. I kept it damp but not soaked in a dark cupboard and nothing ever came to it. After a week of this I just put them in the pots to see if they were just super late bloomers or something, didn't work. The one seed that sprouted popped through the soil in the matter of a day.
