Pineapple Express x2 & Auto Durban Poison x3: Week 2 from drop of seeds into water. They are green and healthy. Although Pineapple Express (PE)#1 had a strange stem issue that caused it to loop and stretch during soil break. So, I had to bury the stem down to the loop for it to grow properly. Still causing some issues with a weak stem base. Learned that if you bury the seed with tap root facing up it causes the looping. PE #2 had same problems with weak stem base and required soil reinforcement. I like to air them out a bit so I take off the dome during night and they are exposed to 55% humidity. All have formed true leaves. First day light was 150ppfd. Each day I had to increase ppfd to stop the stretch and finally settled at 350ppfd where they seem happy and growing leaves/roots instead of stretching. They get sprayed twice a day enough to wet them directly and soil surface. Inside of dome gets a spray as well to create 80% humidity during light cycle.

This week has gone well strong growth and rooting. The Durban Poison (DP) Auto's have taken off growing 4 times the amount compared to the Photo Pineapple Express (PE). Probably should expect this being a almost pure Sativa and an Auto flower. Mid-week took dome off the DP Auto's. They outgrew the dome. Treating DP #1-3 as vegetative stage no dome getting 55% RH, Temps 77F, direct foliage spray and surface soil watering 1-2 times each day. CO2 ranges 550ppm-650ppm night cycle to 850ppm-1250ppm day cycle. All plants are taking in 350ppfd and thriving all week. Green and healthy. I'll be looking to up-pot over the next week waiting on roots to come out the bottom. Auto DP #1 has achieved this and will be up potted tomorrow to a 1 Gallon pot. I'll be using Sohum Living soil for cannabis (Just add water). Prepped my soil added Wollastonite (Silica/Calcium slow-release mineral), and Mycorrhizae fungi to the medium. Gave it a good watering and letting it sit 24 hours before using it. Had to periodically straighten some stems with some soil support.

Pineapple Express x2 (PE #1 & #2) & Auto Durban Poison x3 (DP #1, #2, & #3): Transplanted PE #1 & #2 to 3-gallon pots and placed DP #1, #2, & #3 in 1 Gal Pots. DP #1 had about a 12hr droop shock from transplant but recovered. After transplant watered to run off. All other transplants were smooth and didn't seem to miss a beat. FIMed DP #1 to practice that technique. Will experiment with Topping as well later. Have some Yellow spots on PE #1 & #2. I believe it to be a watering or Nitrogen issue. Seems to be contained in older leaves and hopefully the up pot will take care of the problem. Had a lot of weather changes outside the grow affecting humidity and temperature. But maintained a good range of both by adjusting my devices. Slowly increasing PPFD and currently hitting them with 600. They seem happy, healthy, and growing for the most part. Stopped burning candles for CO2 the wax is clogging up my Air filters too fast. Going ambient CO2 from now on. Ambient levels are 500ppm-700ppm. 💪

Pineapple Express (PE) x2 & Auto Durban Poison x3 (DP): This week They have grown a lot. PE #1, #2, & DP #1 all had dark green leaves with a waxy look. DP #1 even starting to show some white tips on new growth and a few white spots. This is a sign of Nitrogen Burn. Watered to run off to cool things but I feel it's not such a problem. They are still green and growing so I'll leave them be. Accidently pinched a leave on DP #1 marked it pretty good. Transplanted PE #1 & #2 into 3 Gal Pots. Transplanted DP #1, #2, & #3 into 1-Gal pots. But later up potted DP #2 to a 2-Gal tall pot once it flowered. DP #2 seems to be in flower very early (Day 33). Sohum Living Soil for Cannabis thus far has been a good but Hot soil. Retains water well. I've watered to run off then don't need to do it again for 4-5 Days. Currently hitting them with 18/6, 800-850 ppfd, RH 53%, Temps 75-80F, Ambient CO2 550-800ppm. FIMed DP #1 seems like there are 2 mains now. Topped DP #3 for 2 Colas as well. Practicing techniques.

Pineapple Express x2 (PE #1, PE #2) & Auto Durban Poison x3 (DP #1, DP#2, & DP #3) At this point all 3 DP are flowering. The FIM I tried did not take on DP #1. The TOP on DP #3 did however, and 2 mains are obvious. All 5 plants have grown well and healthy. Bud sites are popping up all over on DP #3. Did some light trim work around the bottom 1/4 of the plants. Topped both PE #1 &#2. Used the cuttings to create some clones. Set stakes to limit Node 3 and 4 branches to branch out parallel to ground in an attempt to bush out the lower portion for viable bud sites. Each day I do some leaf tucking to expose bud sites on the DP's. Water to run off then wait for plant to droop a bit before watering to run off again. Currently about once every 4-5 days. They get a foliage spritz daily. PE #2 showing signs of too much Nitrogen with dark green waxy leaves. Was hoping this would correct itself from last week, but it has not. I'm still going to leave it alone while it creates a balance in the medium. growth does not seem stunted so I'm letting it go. Another week of Veg then I'll flip to Flower. 👌

Pineapple Express x2 & Auto Durban Poison x3: What a great week this was. They literally grew double their size from last week. The Auto Flower DPs are stretching in flower. PE exploding as well with an up pot to 5 Gallon. Lots of LST work to even out the canopy. Used 12" metal Garden stakes to anchor down branches and manipulate others into free spaces to maximize light exposure. DP #3 Had a one-off branch that grew tall used Super Cropping HST to bring it back to canopy level. Normally I wouldn't do that to an Auto Flower, but it needed it, so it won't end up in my lights. Set up Circle SCROG on PE #1 & #2 to allow them to grow into it during Flower. Some light defoliation and tucking to expose bud sites. Drinking a lot of water. Sometimes needed to water to run off 2 days in row. DP #2 (which got the strongest amount of light 1100ppfd at 18/6) drank her 2-Gal pot dry often. Between the 5 plants I used about 5 Gallons of water this week. All are green and healthy. DP #2 is budding up everywhere. Snipped some of the lower bud sites to focus energies on upper sites. They have been receiving high amounts of light 950-1100ppfd 18hrs/6hrs and thriving all week. Next week I will be switching to a 12/12 in order to Flower Photo Period PE #1, #2. In order to keep up with DLI I will bump my lights up to 1400-1500ppfd and watching carefully plants reactions. Environment was consistent 79F, 55% RH, 600ppm CO2. Up to this point Sohum Living soil and Purple Cow has lived up to thier word of just add water to its soil. I have not needed to fertilize at all up to this point. My PE plants did not like the high amounts of early Nitrogen but never got to the point of burn. Just dark green leaves with a bit of waxy texture. Each up pot I used Purple Cow Indicanja with some perlite, mycorrhizae, and wetted with Mineral Water & Wollastonite (Silica/Calcium) mineral for a true organic grow. If later deficiencies are spotted, I'll use Compost Tea to correct. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the grow.😁

Pineapple Expressx2 (PE), Auto Durban Poisonx3 (ADP): Day 56 for all plants. Growth slowed due to lots of LST, HST, & defoliation exposing bud sites on all plants. Flipped PE #1-2 to Flower at the end of the week. Applied drip systems as well due to their massive consumption of water. They are receiving 40-60ml/hr of ph6.0 mineral water. By end of the week 60ml/h was too much causing run off so 35-40ml/h seems ideal at this point. All are green and healthy. ADP #1-3 all have numerous bud sites ready for continued stretch and fatting up. I left as much leaves as possible to allow maximum Photosynthetic activity & wanted to save the reservoirs of nutrients inside the leaves for relocation into bud sites during the fade. I tucked leaves instead of defoliating where I could and did slight adjustments of metal rungs to create an even canopy for ADP #1-3. I used the rungs to create a bush effect for PE #1-2. Only trouble I had was on ADP #1 I placed too close to the Heater and for 30 min it burnt 2-3 branches and about 6 bud sites. 😟 The bud sites look like they can recover possibly but leaves all turned brown and died on those branches, so they were removed. Environment to Flower tent is a consistent 79-81F, 55% RHA, 550-725ppm CO2, & 950-1100ppfd. As always thanks for checking out the grow.🙏

Pineapple Expressx2 (PE), Auto Durban Poisonx3 (ADP): Day 63. All is looking good this week. Had a little overwatering on ADP#3 as I was experimenting with Auto Drip water. 60ml/h was too much. All plants are either stacking or stretching currently. ADP #2 seems the furthest along in it's flowering stage and fattening up nicely. Added a Circle SCROG to PE plants for them to grow into it. Periodically adjusted metal rungs for LST/even canopy. Also used the rungs to splay open the plants to allow light to penetrate deeper into the lower branch areas. I can lay each branch out wide like the spokes of a wagon wheel which allows light to really get to the lower bud sites and places them closer to the same level as the top colas. Defoliated or tucked leaves around bud sites. If Bud Sites where too low and unable to receive light they were removed. I try to keep as many leaves as I can to promote Photosynthesis. After all, Photosynthesis=Yield. Environment: 82-85F, 45-55% RH, 550-650ppm CO2, and 1150-1350ppfd. Thanks for checking out the grow.

Pineapple Expressx2 (PE), Auto Durban Poisonx3 (ADP): Day 70 from seed. PE #1, #2 3-Wk Flower, All ADP 5-Wk Flower. Last week's experiment with water drippers caused some over watering and some are showing results from that lesson. 60ml/h is too much. I allowed them to dry out fairly good before applying a Compost tea to run off. All are growing or fattening up their buds. ADP #2 is the most mature of the 3 ADP's and trichomes are starting to form nicely. Keep adjusting Metal Rungs to splay the plants out allowing light and canopy to be as low as possible. I've found during this grow that these "U" metal Rungs allows even the lowest buds to receive light and good growth. My goal was to create a Wagon wheel of the branches and lay them out parallel to the ground. Much like main lining but less invasive. I've also noticed using the rungs they cause no pause in growth. I would consider it an LST. It's not as harsh as Super Cropping but accomplishes the same goal. All though for ADP #1 I did super crop to test out the skill. Using the pinch and twist method I successfully super cropped. I know you're not supposed to do it to Autos. Not supposed to TOP them either but I did. We will see how they turn out. Lots of environment fluctuations this week inside the tents due to weather outside (72F one day 30F the next): 74-91F, 39-56% RH, 550-650ppm CO2, 1150-1370ppfd, & very little water this week due to last weeks over watering. Going to let them completely dry out. 👌

Pineapple Expressx2 (PE), Auto Durban Poisonx3 (ADP): Day 77 from seed. PEx2 Week 3 Flower & ADPx3 Week 5-6 Flower. Environment has been crazy fluctuations from outside weather: Temps 73-90F, RH 45-68%, CO2 500-875, & PPFD 1150-1250. Received a Compost tea to run off this week. All plants looking green and healthy. Flowering nicely. ADP #2, the most mature of the plants, Trichomes are coming along. Over all 55% Milky, 35% clear, 10% Amber. Going to give it another week of ripening and check again. The fade not real strong yet as well. 👌

Pineapple Expressx2 (PE), Auto Durban Poisonx3 (ADP): Day 84, Week 12, from seed. Had a lot of trouble this week for growth. I realized that in applying my compost tea's I was severely over watering them. The saturation of the medium causes the roots to spread in search of oxygen and causing them to become root bound. The plant demonstrated over watering features of yellowing lower leaves and pot never become light due to compaction. I fixed the issue through transplant. Sucks to have to do this during flower but had no choice. Some slight root trim of bound up roots. This will cause sever shock stress to them but hopefully recover to finish strong. In addition to the root bound problem this week has been terrible for temps. 85-91F degrees. I built a DIY water cooling system in the duct work that lowered temps by 5 degrees and created an exterior intake of cooler air in my closed loop system. Also lowered the power to my lights and moved them closer. This brought temps under control for next week. Most plants are wilted from heat/transplant shock/root bound recovery. looking rough. Lowered the overall PPFD as they recover to 750-850. ADP #2 however, is still doing well. Never really showed signs of the others and continues to ripen. ADP #2 Trichomes report: 70% Milky, 25% Clear, 5% Amber. Weekly Environment: 85-91F, 48-54% RH, 750-850 PPFD, & 550-875 CO2. Thanks for stopping by.

Pineapple Expressx2 (PE), Auto Durban Poisonx3 (ADP): Day 91 from seed, Week 8 Flower ADP #2, Week 5 Flower PEx2. Last week's Transplant for 2 of my Auto Flowers did not go well. They died. 😩 So close to the end and looking so good up to the overwatering 2 weeks ago. ADP #2 Trich Report: 75% Milky, 10% Clear, 15% Amber. Starting the Final phase before harvest. It will receive no more water, placed in Darkness for 3 days then cut. PEx2 both are struggling on their recovery as you can see from the pictures. Being in larger pots with more biomass and longer period to go in Flower they should still be able to finish strong. At least, I hope. Lots of yellowing along veins of leaves from the sever stress it's been under. But starting to perk back up. Environment: 71-83F, 45-57% RH, 525-925PPM CO2, & under reduced lighting while recovering 850-950PPFD.

Pineapple Expressx2 (PE), Auto Durban Poisonx3 (ADP): Day 98, Week 14 from seed. PEx2 Week 6 Flower. PEx2 both are still struggling. Turned back up PPFD in hopes to get some action going from PEx2. Both plants received a Compost Tea and watered to run off this week after a good drying out. Showed some slight burn after the Tea. Will dilute concentration next time. They are finally starting to respond from all my efforts to correct the over watering issue 3 weeks back. The repotting and fresh soil and breaking up the soil compaction seemed to allow the roots to take up nutrients again after 2 weeks of shock. I just hope PEx2 has enough time left in flower to finish strong. Advertised as a 7-9 Wk Flowering Strain. Leaves 1-3 Weeks left to finish. Weekly Environment: 83F, 47% RH, 650 CO2, & 1300PPFD.

Growing was normal in a clean indoor environment so Resistance would be an unknown factor for Insects/Disease. But I did accidently over water during the mid Flower stage on all 3 plants. 2 could not recover in time for the late flowering and died. I tried to save them with a repotting due to compaction soil and lock out. It was just too late in the flowering period to recover. One plant did make it and never showed signs of problems in fact sucked up all the water and Tea and put it use. All in all very happy with this grow being my second harvest ever.

On a good note, ADP #2 has been chopped and currently drying. It was a good Auto with very little troubles and produced nicely. Wet Weight: .6oz plate weight, 2.46oz=1.86oz Wet weight. Estimated Dry & Trimmed: .465oz. Smells are strong Gassy with a hint of Citrus & Sweet. Drying Conditions for ADP #2: 74F & 55%. Working on getting Temps down in Dry Chamber will be installing an AC unit this week. Updated: Dry Weight .81oz. Now on to curing. Will burp every day for 2 weeks for about 15 min, then burp every 3 days for 2 more weeks. Then it should be ready. Buds are fluffy, light, not too dense which is what you can expect from Durban Poison. Smells are still as above but the sweet is more pronounced. 109 Days to this point +28 Days of Curing =137 total days from seed to smoke.

Pineapple Expressx2 (PE), Auto Durban Poisonx3 (ADP): 105 Days, 15 Weeks from seed. ADP #2 currently drying out nicely. PE #1 & #2 are in dire situation. They still have not fully recovered from overwatering and transplant. PE #2 is very yellow including stems. I'm still hoping they can finish strong. Trichomes are forming on the buds of PE #1 & #2. Hopefully they will fatten up as well. Weekly Environment: 82F, 52% RH, 870ppm CO2, & 950-1050 PPFD. Pots are still a bit heavy so no water this week other than a daily foliage spritz. Height: 12".

Pineapple Express starts off strong and would have continued but I overwatered during compost Tea application causing compaction and lockout during crucial time in flower (4th week Flowering). There was not enough time for the plant to fully recover so yield and finality of the plant suffered greatly. Up to that point the plant was doing very well. the genetics was strong between both plants they both grew identical.

Pineapple Express by Barney's Farm: I thought this would continue into the 9th week of Flowering, but I decided to check the Trichomes and found it was ready at a 20% Amber ratio. Currently weight is Wet with no trimming done. I like to do that when its dry seems easier. Buds are small and weight is mostly stems. The troubles I had with watering I'm surprised it made it to harvest. So any thing I get out of it I will be happy with. This is my second grow and the learning continues.
