Day 15 transplanted in big pots, round pots are 20L, and square pots are 18L. I like watering the entire pot with the same amount of water throughout the grow, but just changing the frequency of watering as necessary. These ladies were taking 3L of solution but they were not all watered at the same time but as needed. Wedding Cheesecake drank the least and Gorilla Cookies were both very thirsty plants from the early days. Bud Candy was used from beginning to end of grow and Voodo Juice, Piranha, and Tarantula once a week. My water is around 7-7.5 PH and I didnt measure the solution PH or used PH up or down products throughout the grow,
Girls were rapidly growing and reacted very well to a lot of LST from my side and from removing the nodes along the way. I didnt want any secondery branches developing so once a week I just remove all but top nodes, I will continue to do that througout the veg stage.
Girls continued to grow nicely and strong and I kept bending them, toping the more advanced branches and taking off leaves that were on the way. One more week of vegetation ahead!
In week 6 I realized that they were too big and that I had too many branches and I decided to pull up one more 1m2 tent and light and to separate them. So 2 Gorilla Cookies went to one tent and Tropicana Cookies and Wedding Cheesecake in the other. The day before flipping I added as top dressing Veg Perls, Seaweed powder, and Guanokalong Powder as recommended by the Guanokalong feeding chart. Later on Palm Tree Ash too. I was topdressing these 4 products as per feed charst by Guanokalong, last top dressing was in week 5 of flowering.
I keep the environment the same as in veg until the stretch is done. I top dressed Veg Perls 3g per liter of the substrate, Guanokalong Powder 8g per liter of the substrate, and Seeweed powder 5g per liter of the substrate. Due to me being an idiot and forgetting to change the light time period the tent with 2 Gorilla Cookies was switched to 12-12 3 days later.
Enjoying watching them grow 😀 I topdressed Palm Tree Ash with 3 grams per liter of the substrate. For all dry amendments, I always use one handful of light mix and I mix in the powders in it and then top dress with that mix. It prevents the powders from ending up in the air like a smoke made of dust and potentially end up on your plant. Ash can be quite aggressive so take care.
The tent with TC and WC the stretch is over but the Gorilla Cookies continued to grow for a couple more days into week 4 of flower. From week 4 of flowering the temperatures will be going down to 24C lights on and 20C lights off. Also, the humidity will go down to 55%.
In week 4 of flowering the temperatures and humidity went down and the big defoliation was made to let the lights penetrate deep into the canopy. Topdressed with Guanokalong Powder, 3g per liter of the substrate.
In week 5 I topdressed Palm Tree Ash, 2g per liter of substrate. That was it regarding topdressing. Waiting for some time to pass until the buds are bigger and bulkier to start adding Overdrive
Buds are bulking much nicer on TP and WC as they stayed short but Gorilla Cookies stretched big time. Buds are much smaller but still a lot of frost on all the buds and plants starting to change colors.
Started to add Overdrive near the end of week 6 of flowering and all week 7, 2ml per liter and every watering. Plants continued changing colors and Tropicana Cookies went black-red-silver. I started to lower the light intesity too, each week a bit lower.
Coming close to an end. Girls are doing great and just finishing maturing and trichiomes are getting more and more ripe. The last few pictures are from the Jan 29th and the harvest day was Feb 9th. Next week, week 15, you will see some of the last days of growth and harvest.
Last week before the harvest. The trichomes are now starting to turn amber and it is time to plan a harvest day, I ussually leave my plants to dry out a bit before choping them. If I watered them every 3 days until then, I give them water 6 days before I want to chop them. Plants are not soaked with water and they will not take that long to dry later on.
This plant was very strong and fast-growing from the beginning and it was a pleasure to train. They stretched a lot more than I expected and I didn't have room to spread and open them more to receive more light so I ended up with a bit smaller buds but still, all of them were sticky as hell and the smell and the smoke were great. Great strain for beginners as the plant itself didn't skip a bit for all 15 weeks of its life. Well done Fast Buds for this jewel.
I would grow this plant again for sure but I would give her all the space in the world and Im sure it would do much much better than it was in this grow. I tested the buds before putting them in the Grove bags for curing, and the machine showed 20% THC.
Tropicana Cookies had very sativa kind of traits with thinner leaves and stretchy growth but in flower she didnt stretch that much. Buds were compact and full of trichomes from the very early days of flower. She was the first one to change her color and by the end of the grow, she was black-silver color. Great stain for beginners as its resistant and grows well. The smell is very fruity, sweet and citrusy and the smoke too. Its all around strain for day and night. Buds look magnificent, very dark and kind of metalic on the right light and covered in "crystals".
Really a pleasure to grow this plant it was super easy and she liked all the training. She was a beauty to look at and I had no problems with this plant whatsoever. Still I find very interesting her speed in veg and the fact she was streching much more then other girls but in flower she strached like a proper indica. I would veg her more for sure if I ever grow her again.
This is the second time Im growing this strain and both times she showed she is a strong and tough plant. She can take a lot of beating, therefore, she is a perfect strain for beginners. She is not a fussy plant and she reacts nicely on most forms of training. She is not a big stretcher and buds are compact and full of trichomes. The smell is very intense and wonderful, together with Tropicana Cookies in that tent you could think Im growing some fruits inside! The smoke is sweet and fruity and its not a knocker so it is also a good day strain. I reccomend this strain to novice growers and beginers as its really not that hard to make her happy and she is very grateful at the harvest time. Very nice smoke and great bud appeal. This strain is not that explosive in the veg phase but that totally changes in flowering. She doesnt over-stretch and she makes nice, hard, and compact buds covered in trichomes. This is my second time growing this girl and I think we will meet again in the future.
