These are the plants at 2 weeks old.
Not really sure what to report.
I check on them each morning and night and find myself thinking about how they’re doing whilst I am at work!
Comparing with other grow diaries, I think they seem to be doing ok.
The temperature and humidity levels in the tent fluctuate but i don’t think this is causing a problem.. yet!
Still just a bit of water. We live in a hard water area so just boiled, cooled water to remove a bit of the hardness.
Congratulations on starting the best and most rewarding hobby one could have! So far you're doing great! Just remember come harvest time dry and cure correctly it's is where the magic is either made or lost .. I wish you the best 👌.. Goodluck and happy growing! ✌️
@Crownlaura, just keep her between 50% and 60% RH and the cooler the better mids 60s to 60 degrees if possible... I used terploc bags for curing just remember to burb those jars and pay attention to the smell.. if it gets an ammonia type smell the bud needs to be taking out of jar to dry more.. you got this! Goodluck!
@Hempface86, Thankyou :) I already have glass curing jars ready! Drying worries me because it seems like a bit of a delicate process. Curing should be pretty easy as long as I get the dry done properly though, right? As long as my patience holds out 😂

LG 👆🙏
@Budz_Bunny, hi there thanks so much for the info. I have always thought there is a good chance I will need to upgrade those lights (I have 2- one for each plant) and they don’t have different settings or strengths. They were advertised as seeding/growing/flowering and at the time I set up, money was limited and the price was pretty great so I decided to go for it and hope for the best!
I am thinking of adding a little dehumidifier in the next couple of weeks to avoid a mould problem. I went into this with zero expectations but now I’ve seen how well they seem to be doing, I would be devastated if something went wrong lol. But I really appreciate the advice so Thankyou :)
@Apfelsaft94, Thankyou :) no they’re not the biggest but it’s something to try and improve on next time. Hard to be disappointed and defo not too bad for a practice run!
Hi Buddy
You can cut off the lower leaves without having a bad conscience, it will soon get too little light anyway, but don't cut off too many leaves, I would cut off a maximum of 6 per plant so that it doesn't have too much stress and the large leaves that cover the side shoots can also be removed bit by bit as you have enough mass.
Or guide the side shoots past the leaves.
Carefully bend the tip down so that the side shoots grow even more because the tip is no longer the highest point.
Once they have passed the leaves, simply loosen them again and allow them to grow normally.
It is better to bend down a little more each day and pre-bend the shoots with your fingers (warm them up)
@AcidBurn_40, thankyou for the advice :)
I’m a little worried about causing any further stress as this morning, the nutrient burn on one plant seems to have gotten worse. I’ll keep an eye on them for the next few days (done a big flush today) and as long as I can see growth and a few more healthy leaves sprout, I will defoliate slightly to give them more room. I’ve tucked a few leaves and manipulated a few stems like you advised so fingers crossed!
70% lieben deine Girls. Erst in der Blüte must du vorsichtig sein. Gute Arbeit bisher du machst das schon Buddy. Viel Freude mit deinem ersten Report.😎
@Stony_German, oh I do love them. Checking on them is the first thing I do when I wake up and the last thing I do before bed. What I lack in knowledge I make up in love hahaha
You have a.Nitrogen toxicity, this slows growth alot, also, do not feed until run off, unless growing in coco coir. The soil need oxygen and watering prevents it from getting into the roots... wait until the soil is dry then feed only water for 2 weeks or until a lighter green. Feed alot less water to help airation.
@@OrganicLivingSoil, brilliant thankyou. I guess if I’d known this last week I could have avoided any real damage. I’m guessing no nutrients were needed at all last week annd I should have just let the soil do its thing for annother couple of weeks. Every days a learning day here!
@Crownlaura, Nitrogen builds up in the tips of leaves, causing darker tips, downward curling and slower growth. looks fine now, just check the PH of each watering, 6.2 to 6.8 is perfect and will allow all nutrients to become available to plant.
@@OrganicLivingSoil, hi Thankyou for your advice. Can I ask what you saw to indicate the nitrogen toxicity? I’m not doubting you at all (my week 4 pictures show you are 100% right!) but in week 3 pictures, my amateur eyes did not notice any signs at all.
So, bit of an update on sticky orange. The nutrient burn looked slightly worse this morning but only on the brand new top leaves. So I’ve put her in the bath and given her 2 good flushes with luke warm water. PH from the run off is 5.9. Leaving her in the bath for half an hour and giving her a good shake every few minutes to get as much water out as I can - I don’t want to replace nute burn with an overwater issue!
Purple skunk seems happy so my conclusion is that S/O doesn’t need half as many nutrients as P/S.
taking a plant out of the tent has given me space to give purple skunk a good inspection and boy are her branches getting thick!
First diary error - the smell!
The smell has been really mild when you walk into the room where the tent is but today (day21), I’ve been able to smell from across the hallway:/
