Got the tent dialed in fairly quick. This time of year it’s not too difficult. I had the light set at 175-225 PAR for the week. I don’t have a lot of experience with AutoFlowers so this may be an interesting grow. I hear they’re finicky but I think it’s good. It may help me sharpen my game since you don’t have much time to correct any problems that pop up.

Plants 1 and 2 have a bit slower growth rate. Plants 3, 4 and 5 look like they are starting to hook up. All seem to have that peculiar “leaf twist” that I sometimes see from tight internodel spacing. Some say it’s light or heat stress. I guess it’s possible but I don’t think so. I’ve seen it on several grows and it’s never been an issue. Running light intensity at 500 PAR and introducing Co2 slowly. Im now at a hourly avg of 700ppm. I know it is less efficient in a tent but I was gifted a large tank, regulator and controller from a friend whose father was a grower that passed away. So, at a fill, which lasts a month at 1000ppm, I will absorb the cost.

Although plant #2 is not a fast grower it still looks ok. The other four plants showed good progress this week. I continued to slowly ramp up the light and Co2. The temperature is now up a couple degrees to 79. The VPD is staying on point between 0.8 and 0.9. The Co2 level is now averaging about 850ppm and light intensity is at 525 to 560 PAR. The girls are starting to drink quite a bit more over the last half of this week. All in all things are coming along nicely. Have a good week Y’all - HR

Great week of growth!! Lots of leaf added and on 4 of the 5 the branching is starting to form. Pretty sure we will start the stretch period in the next 7-10 days as all plants are now fully showing sex at most nodes. I increased tent temperature to around 81-82 during the day and night time temps are dipping to 69-71. Light intensity is up to 660 PAR and Co2 is at 950ppm now. I snipped a few HUGE fan leaves off that were covering node sites but mostly just tucked leaves. These plants are really shaping up to be short chubby girls!!

Very rapidly went from a few pistals to full on flower mode in just a few days. I have been driving these plants very hard and ended up having to dial back my light intensity a bit today. Several plants started showing a sign of stress, such as papery feeling leaves, leaves curling down and a few branches developing red lines. I realize this could all be caused by various other issues and I will continue to monitor. I lean towards light stress because my DLI for an 18 hour light cycle was 48.5 Even with Co2 I think it was a bit harsh and I am taking that pressure off them. DLI is now at 41 (with Co2). They all have started their stretch and are going through water at a pretty fast rate. I took some leaves and the very bottom smalls off and opened the plants up a bit with some LST. In doing so I snapped a main branch on plant 2. OOPS!! I’ve done this a hand full of times over the years with good success of repair. I’m hoping my splint method works once again. The break was pretty narley this time though. Cheers HR

Another week in the books. Flowers developing nicely. Something spiked my soils PH. It had been about 6.7 but a test this week showed 7.2 I have run into this in the past once and a light dressing of highly soluble powdered sulfur brought it in range in a few weeks. May go that route again. Plants look mostly good but there is some tip burn and a few plants show some leaf clawing. I’m not too concerned yet but will monitor closely. I’m not experienced with autoflowers and I’m finding out that it’s true they can be finicky!!

Sorry this is a few days late. I am dealing with a family issue back east and have been out of town. I will be spending most of my time away from the grow as they finish. I do have someone looking after the plants as well as a camera in the tent to look for glaring issues. Thankfully I can control everything except watering from my phone so the environment is pretty easy to control. The plants are plumping up some and starting to smell like candy and mint I’m told. I’m dialing back temps and lowering humidity as best I can from afar. Updates may not be as regular which probably doesn’t matter since I don’t think many look at this anyway LOL. I’m dialing back temps and humidity as best I can from 2600 miles away. Fingers crossed and thanks to a weed friendly neighbor who is watering while I’m away!!

I was able to be home a few days at the end of week 8. This allowed me to address a few issues (sort of) that came up while I was gone. The kind person who is taking care of watering the girls while I’m away attending to a family issue decided to add some of my Organics Alive fertilizer because she saw some leaf fade. They didn’t need it at all and this created a bit of nutrient burn. Ugh!! I can’t get upset because she is only trying to help. I did the deed and mildly flushed out each plant. Nothing too crazy just wanted to curb any further toxicity issues. I’ve never had to do this before and I’m not sure if it was the right thing to do. By the looks of things 3 of the 5 plants should be ready to chop in about two weeks. The other 2 might go another week longer but I won’t know for a bit. I have been slowly reducing light intensity and temps as well as CO2 level since there’s just a few more weeks to go. I took all the plants outside to flush them and while they were out I snapped a few bud shots to post. Fingers crossed 🤞 as we are approaching the finish line!!

Im out of town right now so the update is a day late. Things are cruising toward the finish line. Had my friend who is watering while I’m gone send me a few macros of the trichomes. She’s not able to use my little handheld Bluetooth scope so trying to make do with what I was given. It looks like all are cloudy with little or no amber yet. With this said I will be harvesting next week while I’m home for a few days. My guess is they could go another week beyond that but I won’t be around to chop after next week. So I’ll cut em down and cram my Cannatrol full, set it and forget it.

I pulled 3 of the 5 at day 67. These were the smaller phenos. Great smell of mint on these with a hint of funky sweet almost spoiled fruit. These have now been through the 8 day dry/cure cycle of the Cannatrol Cool Cure. Now I have placed in a large Grove Bag to finish curing. Total dried and trimmed weight of these 3 plants was 167.8 grams or 6 ounces. The other 2 plants were chopped at day 76. These were larger plants that had a more jelly almost grape smell with a more subdued mint underneath. They are now in the Cannatrol and will be done in a few days. I will update the total weight for all 5 plants next week. I’m expecting an additional 7 ounces (guess) between these last 2. I drove all these plants HARD with light/ temp and added CO2 for veg and about 3/4 of the flower time. These buds are all fucking SUPER DENSE. The 3 smaller plants had better frost on them. The 2 larger plants were not as frosty but still adequate in my book. UPDATE: I now have the dry weight of the last two plants as well as a smoke report. These last two were bigger than the first three I harvested and weighed in at 141.8 grams. This gave me a total weight of grade A and B nugs of 309.6 grams. This equals just over 11 ounces of some really nice nugs. Not a super great yield for 5 plants but for autoflowers, I’ll take it. The nutrient lockout did hinder the potency a bit compared to last years outdoor run. The terps were on point and it gives you a nice heady high followed by a very relaxing come down BUT last years outdoor run did hit a bit harder. Still a very decent smoke. This run definitely had the minty taste but had a more distinct jelly or candy exhale that lingers in the mouth. That’s it for this run. Thanks to anyone who took the time to read through the diary.

@HR_Puffinnugs, i prefer photos but sometimes nice to grow autos. And i had period when i was forced to keep light 24h for temps so only option was autoflowers.

@Hattiwatti, Thanks!! I’m rather new to the indoor realm and even more new to AutoFlowers. Kind of fun so far!!

@pifflestikkz, Thank you!! I’m new to Autoflowers. I don’t think they will become a regular part of the garden but it’s fun to learn about them!
