Day 62 of flower so it got the chop! I have 2 more clones ready for flower so depending on how this turns out I will either extend or reduce my flower time. Either way I’m happy with the result of this grow.
Day 1 of drying: after 24 hours I went to inspect the buds and noticed a droplet of what appears to be a sap-like substance on one of the buds. From researching online and observing the substance I'm thinking this is Xylem sap also known as plant guttation. It's a small amber colored droplet of stick syrup like sap and even smelled like maple syrup/sugar. Never seen this but good to know it's a normal occurance.
Some fat chonky buds you got there, nice job!
What's the smell profile? You said they are "gnarly," does that mean like gas, chemical, garbage, feet, carcass, or something else entirely?
@A_Stoned_Llama, thanks :) mostly skunky with hints of orange. It’s had an orange profile the whole flower period but now the skunk is really coming out. When I was tying up the buds last week I got hints of garlic as well. I’ve grown this seed 3 times and each time they’ve had slightly different undertones but overall strong skunk smells.
@ROSINPARK, Thanks for the tip. I have used Scrog in the past but found plant yo-yos work just fine and are easier to remove when harvest comes. If I had multiple plants or more tops I would agree and just use a net. My plan was to have 8 main tops but there wasn't a lot of stretch so the plant went bushy instead.
