For the new round, I chose three varieties from 'Nasha Genetics' with 3 plants each:
-Miracle Gushers
-Hardcore Zoap
-Banana Creams
I am reusing the old pots with the old soil. Before the new round, however, I refilled the pots with freshly mixed soil and added 500ml of compost tea per pot to get the soil going again.
I then germinated the seeds directly in the soil and 9/9 came up. For me, this is the best method as it seems the most natural and the fungal network can 'dock' directly onto the new roots.
Humidity at around 80% and temperature at 23-25°C
So far so good, but I accidentally gave a bit too much water last week what caused leaf curling and I think some damage to one of the Banana Creamz and one of the Miracle Gushers, which also was a bit slower than the others. But all plants have recovered and look good right now.
I sprayed also the Boom Boom Spray against the stress.
The plants have developed well, even the two smaller ones that had a somewhat slower start. Almost all the plants have topped, one now for the second time.
My aim is to tip and stretch the 9 plants so that the space is optimally utilized and the light yield and ventilation are optimal. I also want to get all the plants to approximately the same high level.
Edit:
All the plants have developed well and seem to be doing well. The two smaller stragglers have also gained a lot of substance in the meantime.
Today we are switching to 12/12.
I have removed the mesh part again because the meshes were too big for me and wanted to replace it with a white plastic net with smaller meshes, but I will wait with this now, as the plants are actually doing very well and the plants are developing well in width due to the 1-2 topping.
I think I will put up a new net around the third/fourth week of flowering, when I'm also going to lollipop the plants.
All the plants have been given another good stretch and the flowers are constantly swelling. The odour is also becoming more intense. One plant of the Hardcore zoap is already getting a lot of brown hairs.
The climate is a little 1 degree during the day and warmer at night, but still steady.
The stretch is now over and you can see that the plants are now putting all their energy into the flowers. These swell more and more and gradually the filaments start to turn brown. However, the trichomes are still mostly transparent
All the plants are healthy and happy. The leaves are now starting to turn deciduous. Miracle Gushers and Banana Creamz are purple, the Hardcore Zoap are yellow to purple. Also, all the flowers are now full of trichomes and the smell when opening the tent is very strong.
The ninth week of flowering is now over and the last days of the ladies have begun. The stated 9-10 weeks flowering time is definitely correct. One plant of the Hardcore Zoap was ready a little earlier, but as I want to harvest everything at once, everything is left standing until the majority looks ready. I also preferred to harvest the plants a little more mature than too early. In terms of appearance, I like the Miracle Gushers flowers best, as they have a fine and compact structure. The Banana Creamz seem to be able to develop very thick flowers, whereas the Hardcore Zoap seems to have the lowest yield. I will be able to say more after drying and weighing.
