These two Green Gelatos are to accompany the 5weeks older Northern Lights im starting to mainline right now. They will veg for about 3 Weeks in my cardboard/spaceblanket/cheapLED-setup an d then move into the tent once its free. Another 1-3 weeks of veg in the tent should be enough, before flower. Aiming for 45cm plants before switch to flower.
They will end up in 8L fabric pots. Probably move into a 1L along the way.
Depending on size compared to the Northern Lights they will be either topped once or not at all, maybe a little LST.
I will also backup clones of both, to turn the better one into a future motherplant. Well, the strain has to convince the jury first ;)
Transplanted into 8L fabric pots. Bottom half was filled with AllMix upper part with LightMix. To both Light- and AllMix I added about 25% of reused soil from the last grow. I enhanced the old soil with a tiny bit of Guanokalong Powder (1-15-1) and some more Plagron MegaWorm. Some Dynomyco and coffeegrounds are added for good measure as well. Soil had two days to get going in the pots before the plants were transplanted.
Also a GCx2 Solo is used now. Transplant and extra light seems to be appreciated, they grow strong.
Good growth after transplant. Until now I just used pH'ed water. On Day twenty (7 days after transplant) now first water with light nutrients. Not too much though, got the AllMix providing a lot from the bottom as well.
GCx2 Solo increased to full power.💪
Now they need to catch up in height to the much larger Northern Lights that I am currently mainlining.
I expect about another week until I can move them into the tent, finally some airflow, warmth and much more light.🙌
They are really starting up now after transplant. Still watering with minimal nutrients, they got enough in the soil for now.
Plants were also moved into the tent on Day 26 for better light, climate and finally some airflow (5W/15cm GHP Fan).
One Day after arriving in the tent both were topped above the 5th node. The branches on the lowest node will be cut into clones before switching to flower. This will leave me with 4 productive nodes/ 8 branches per plant. Those can also be sorted out with the Scrognet that will certainly be needed to keep the Northern Lights that they share the space with in check.
Growth picked up a few days after topping. As always topping at the right time helps some of the lower branches catching up.👆
Here the first small differences between the two green gelatos become apparent: one is a little taller and its limbs are a little strechier, the lower ones catching up in height faster.
I am happy with the size of the plants so far and could easily flower them now, but I will test my patience and try for some bigger plants in hopes of bigger yields. 🙏
Since the soil compressed a little over time I distributed about a Liter of recycled LightMix each on top and sides the fabric pots.
No changes in feeding, mostly water pH'd to about 6.4, sometimes a little nutrients.
Lets go, I did it. I waited a whole more week in veg than planned. Patience friends, patience.😇
Still low nutrients (with every watering though, as listed above) but doubled since last week. They are not extremely dark green and clawing so much anymore. Removed 2 upper fan leaves each, blocking too much light to the branch below.
Also added a few tablespoons of MegaWorm and teaspoons of Guanokalong powder and worked them into the upper soil before watering on day 42.
Put in the net on day 41. Mainly to keep the almost idioticly quick growing Mango in check.
Whats a Mango?
This particular one is 4th gen clone of a plant in my first ever grow started a year ago. It came from a bagseed, then named Spitfire. Grows faster and lengthier than any other strain ive ever seen. Resistant, good yields, the most undense and fluffy buds youve ever seen and the strongest and tastiest mango aroma. Pungent sweet fruit, with a little tang. Had to put a little one in a small 4L fabric pot and jam it in there. Even though its a 4th gen clone cut when the gelatos were two weeks old, it would already double their height without the net. The mangos stem is much thicker than the gelatos, which are doing fine themselves.
Mango is a pure evil😈 anabolic bagseed b*tch that wants to conquer any tent or environment. With her taste and yield I gladly surrender my tent to her.... 🙌 while still trying to give the gelatos and the northern light their room of course. I love those chaotic grows, my miniature jungle. 😁
Switched to 12/12 on Day 44 after the Seedling emerging from the soil.
This week will also see a gradual change to flowernutrients with an additional two waterings with a kick of Phosphorus Plus & Hesi Boost to get them going. Also dosage is ramped up since, the soil (50/50 LightMix/AllMix) should be exhausted soon. Each Gelato is drinking over half a litre daily now.
Outside temperatures are on the rise and so the temperatures in the tent rise to accomodate the early flower, also humidity is lowering which is always nice.
The one that will remain on the left side in the pictures (plant A) is stretching very well in this first week.
The one on the right (plant B) is about 8 cm shorter (got her pot raised by 5cm for now) than her sister. Tighter spacing of the nodes and overall shorter limbs.
Regarding growth and structure I really prefer the larger A plant. But lets see what the flowers will look like. 👉

Good development this week. 👍
The left plant (pheno A) keeps getting bigger while the stretch in pheno B is a lot more timid. About a 10cm height difference between those two already.
Nutrition is now in flower schedule.
Some Megaworm and Guanokalong powder were spread on the soil this week once more.
Good bud and visible trichome development.😍
Stretch seems to be slowing down by the end of this week.
Another round of MegaWorm and Guano powder spread on the soil this week.
Temperatures and and watering needs are increasing as the light is set to 100% this week. 160W of LED on about a third of a square meter should push these plants to some nice yields.🙌
