@Hattiwatti, (from Google) Hydrogen peroxide is really good to disinfect seeds and helps with seed germination. Hydrogen peroxide kills fungus gnats. You can even spray a weak solution of hydrogen peroxide on your plants to deter and kill pests. There are many benefits of using hydrogen peroxide on plants in your garden

After waiting 24 hours the seed was still floating. A gentle tap and the seed sank to the bottom. Returned Mason Jar to dark cupboard to wait for taproot to show.
