I ran out of Bio Heaven for a while there & had to wait a few days for a new bottle to arrive from Amazon. In that time she started to look a bit sad, but now after a few days back on it she's stopped yellowing her leaves again. She's quite stinky now but that's attracting the pests... white flies & aphids are trying to take a home. Seen a few fungus gnats as well. Some evidence of a grasshopper too. I'm hopefully keeping them under control. Her buds are forming quite nicely now. I was thinking she might need to be out there another 6-8 weeks, but I'm hoping that'll be more like 4 as she's plumping up rather nicely now.

Grow Questions

I think I cocked up by trying to start the grow a month early. It seemed to flower early, then stop. And now almost 2 months after it should have been in full bloom it's not doing much. Anyone know if it's possible to kick start it's bud production?

It will do its thing, just give it time. Revegging slows things down, it's essentially about 6 lost weeks as it transitions to flower, then back to veg, then back to flower. It will finish eventually but you're not really gonna speed things up.

She needs longer nights and shorter days to start the flowering process. This usually happens around the dark nights of the New Moon phase at about this time of year. I would not be surprised if she starts flowering by the end of the month, but she probably wont finish until late October. If she is near bright outdoor lights over night or even porch lights, these can also prevent flowering. I see she is by your back door and under a down light, even going outside and switching the light on can delay flowering. She needs uninterupted darkness to initiate flowering.

To clarfy, it is not about the sunlight it is about the amount of uninterrupted darkness or light absence. Plants build up hormone's in the dark that trigger flowering in photoperiod plants. Autoflower do this in a different way and do no require a light schedule change aka its photoperiod. They also do whatever the fuck they want, some veg for 9 weeks. others for 4. Plants need aorund 10-12hr of darkness to initiate flowering. you can give it more darkness if you want but its not likely to help anything. Flood lights and street lamps can fuck this up if your growing outdoors. The moon does not fuck this up. You will not see anything right away plants will be in flowering a week or 2 before you see results. Dr.Brucebugbee "cannabis researcher" came up with a simple test. Hold a book outside and try and read the words. If you can read the words. its to bright. Its not foolproof, but its a simple test with no scientific instruments like alight par meter. Good Luck!
