Hi everyone ! i have some trouble with pH stability, i washed my tank with bleach when i change the water, but since pH increase from 5.5 to 6.3 in almost 6 hours. i also use peroxyde hydrogen. do you know if h2o2 can do that or is it because i used bleach :/ Thanks for your help😀

Perhaps, although it might not be due that. Keep in mind that as plants aborb more water (or more nutes) the pH balance of you reservoir will change as the concentration of nutrients dissolved in the water changes, pH instability can be a sign of a reservoir too small for your need, since a small water (or nutrient) uptake drastically changes the concentration of the solution. good hydroponic nutrients are buffered to prevent this. What you can try is to buffer the solution yourself by adding more pH DOWN AND pH UP, to force (buffer) the solution to stay stable at the desired range.

Dedon The screen is almost full :D, Today is the first 12/12 day, everythings seems to be OK, some leafs are yellow on the edge, but i guess it was because pH was fluctuating a lot. New leaf are ok, so i am not worry about that. See you next week for update ;) Edit : i add some temperature screenshot, we can notice when i change the water ^^^today for with new nutrient and yesterday to clean root and tank with FloraKleen ( 20ml for 10L ) Edit : 8/11 cut many leafs to expose buds to light

Dedon Good News everyone ! after a week in 12/12 cycle they still feel happy ( no more yellow leafs ! ) They are thirsty AF ( i added 16L this week ) and it's only the beginning :x ... Stretch phase has begun, i saw them growing visibly day after day, i made a small timelapse for you, tell me which one you prefer. pH i pretty stable now, EC is between 1.8 and 1.9 and don't fluctuate so everything is ok. the only thing that worries me is roots progression 😁 i can see some roots approaching the water pump in front of the tank 😂 ==> i'm gonna cut you if you go too close from the pump ^^'

Dedon Hi everyone ! 😀 Everything is ok, no disease, no carrency. but 2 ladies don't want to stretch a lot :/ ( the 2 on the corner, bottom left and Top right ) i don't know why. maybe it's the variety. i have 4 Skunk XL and 2 Critical. Maybe these 2 are the critical ( yes i lost them when i plant the seed 😩 ... ) No more pH fluctuation ( i love that ) EC is around 1.9/2.0 and increase to 2.1/2.2 when they drink a lot so i add water with 1.7 ec to decrease it to 1.9/2.0 again I added 30L of water since i changed the water ( 2 tanks * 20L / i change it the 11/05/18 ) so i'm gonna change the whole solution during the week. See you next week !

Dedon Hi everyone ! Flo +43 I had a small problem of root rot, I had to clean the roots with hydrogen peroxide and empty the tank several times. they have suffered a little and the harvest will be affected. From now on, I will use hydrogen peroxide from seed to harvest to avoid root rot and bacteria. I will not be able to use organic fertilizer anymore. do you know an alternative to Roots Excelurator from House & Garden? (i guess it's organic ...)

Very nice strain, very resistant, everything was ok during grow period, but i had to cure them from root rot during stretch phase and early flo. They suffered from the cure, but they recover well and i was able to complete this grow 👌 Incredible taste and smell, smoke is very sweet. I really enjoy this strain 😀

Dedon Hi everyone ! it's the end, a bit sad for these ladies, but happy to taste my own production and i hope i can be self sufficient i learn a lot from this first experience, and i want to thanks all people who support me 🙏. I have a goal for the next session, keep a healthy plant / root system until the end 💪 thanks for all the advices. if i can leave a feedback and some advice for my next grow and for people who are interested by this method : - NEVER use a (too big ) rigid frame if you can't walk around your plant. you need full access to remove leaf, cut some branch, etc ... and check plant/root health during the whole session. - For NFT Setup, Change the nutrient solution frequently and if you are a beginner and don't know how to keep a healthy system, Don't take risk ! and change the solution each week or 10 day MAX, "you are not a wizard Harry !" - Oxygen is life ! Oxygen is life ! Oxygen is life ! Oxygen is life ! Oxygen is life ! Oxygen is life ! - Don't try to make too big buds. with a 400W HID & cooltube, buds are correct 40cm from the top, after 40cm, bud are fluffy, popcorn bud 😕 so i think i'll keep only 40/50cm for plant who are under the light, 30 for plants on the edge and cut everything lower. - Check water consumption daily ! the better way to know about plant health : 1: - Thanks for support and see you on next grow 😁 - Here's your potatoe & a timelapse from 2018/11/02 to 2019/01/06 ( 4115 photos / 60 Go )

@dedon If i may... PH should be in between 6.2 to 6.5 depending stages. Anything below is considered to acid or anything above is considered to alcaline. 5.5 IMO is to low even for flowering stage.

Dedon commented7y ago
@Hangonfarm, ofc you can ^^ i'm open to discussing 😀

@Dedon,Hi!! I talking about water solution either hydro or normal. Nutrients solutions for normail soil or coco, needs to be in a range of 6.2 to 6.5 PH. Hydroponic may be a little low but not much. I am not sure about soild ph but me and my team use a 6.3 ph solution and has been working fine last couple of years!!
the end.
