Germination
Today I started my first real grow. In Germany weed was illegal and I started some tries to grow it outside but it wasn‘t really successful. I was a bit experimental with the germination. The first two seeds (Northern Light and Painkiller) were germinated directly in the soil on may 14. A few days later they both were peeking through the dirty an everything went well. The Special Queen #1 was a gift, so I tried germinating in a paper towel a few days later with that one to see how it goes. Unfortunately I transplanted her in the soil the wrong way around so she started growing in the dirt again :/ Well as I realized that I knew I had to rescue her and kind of fixed the problem. I already started this diary on my old account and add the pics and stuff over from the other report. Will be updated soon !! After germination I put all of them in some small containers and I‘ll buy some bigger ones and transplant them later. So my little girls survived the germination and are all growing (more or less) healthy towards the sun. ☀️

Its the first week after the germination and we‘re starting off well. The plants are developing beautiful I only had a few concerns at Painkiller because the stem was really high but also really thin so I fixed it a bit with a stick. As I did so (did it outdoor) there was a wind unfortunately and it knocked over the plant a bit and it got kinked at the lower stem. I fixed this point especially and hope it wouldn’t damage the plant too much. Let‘s see how it goes. Day 10: I had to repot my Northern Light Auto (I didn't know that you shouldn't repot autos, well now I know) and while I did that I accidentaly broke most of the roots because they were kind of stuck in the pot. Since autos can't deal with much stress and the repot action itself was already a huge stress I think the Northern Light will have a really hard time the next few days. I hope she will survive. To ensure that she recieves enough nutrients even with much less roots now I mixed a tiny amount of BioBizz Top-Max in the water because this should enhance the nutrient absorption and a bit of BioBizz Fish-Mix to increase the overall quality of the soil. I watered the Northern Light and the Painkiller, which I also transplanted, with this mixture and hope they both do well. On the day after the transplantion the Northern Light still looks good to me. She adjusts herself to the sun and her leaves don't hang down or something. Maybe the affects of the broken roots set in in the next few days or she is a really strong lady and isn't really affected by the broken roots. We'll see... Next time I’ll place the autos definitely directly in the big pots and with the photoperiodic ones I’ll wait a bit longer till I transplant them. For now my first real grow is going pretty good. I made a few big mistakes but I learned a lot from those mistakes already so the grow is already really rewarding if we focus on knowledge and hopefully it’s also rewarding me with a few buds. I don’t need huge amounts but I love the thought of harvesting and smoking my own Cannabis. I really like these fabric pots. You can carry the plants everywhere really easily with those small handles on the side. This is really nice for my grow because I can easily carry them out if the weather is nice and put them in the house again if there are storms or something. In Germany the weather can be really rough sometimes so this is a huge advantage! Day 12: Today I'm going to repot my Special Queen #1. At the moment she lives in that really tiny paper cup which is pretty good for repotting because I can just rip the cup apart and place her in the bigger pot. This should remove most of the problems I had last time while transplanting the plants. I also prepared the soil in the other pot and put hot water in it so the temperature of the dirt is right. The soil is stored in the basement so it's pretty cold, what the plants are probably disliking. Transplanting was successful. Put some bags over the plants to get humidity up. Day 13: The BioBizz Root-Juice that I ordered after I broke the roots while transplanting the northern light finally arrived. I used 4 ml on one liter and I’ll spray it on them over the next few days.

On the first few days I didn’t do really much to the plants. I placed the plastic bags on top of them for humidity and removed them after a few hours so there isn’t too much condensation water on the leaves. I sprayed them a bit with the nutrient mixture of week 2 everyday to get rid of the rests so I can mix a new one if my bottle of BioHeaven arrives. The plants are growing good! I really think the Root-Juice helped restoring the broken roots because northern light is standing there as if nothing has ever happened to her and she’s looking gorgeous! Special Queen is doing well too. She was the smallest of them all because I germinated her a bit later and made a few mistakes at the start but she overcame her starting problems and grew really good. Painkiller XL still has some Problems because of the stem that was bend over. In the Pictures you can see the spot where it bend a little bit if you look closely. I think this damaged her really much and she can’t transport the nutrients that good anymore because her leaves are really small and she’s growing a bit slower. But she’s still alive and doing alright.

It‘s week 3 and the plants are doing good! There didn‘t happen really much this week. I wanted to give them some BioHeaven to get them their nutrients supplied and support photosynthesis since they aren‘t getting enough sunlight I think. Yeah well, I ordered the bottle but it‘s stuck in delivery somehow so I kind of waited the whole week for it and it still didn‘t arrive. I hope I‘ll receive it next week so I can finally give them their nutrients.

My nutrients still arent there. At the end of week 3 I watered them good. I waited a bit with watering so I could directly mix the nutrients in, but since the delivery kind of stopped I just watered them and don‘t wait on the nutrients anymore. After that and a few really sunny days they grew really good. The package with the bio heaven nutrients got lost -.- Ordered from another website. Hope this one will arrive. Day 25: the weather is getting better. I put them outdoor. I’ll take them in the greenhouse over night and in the morning and outdoor in the afternoon till the evening. Started LST on recommendation on my Northern Light Auto. Started slow with a little bend and bending it more and more over the next days. I think I’ll top the Special Queen in a while and use LST on her after that. The plans on the Painkiller XL are to don’t train her in any way right now because she is really thin and looks really vulnerable. Temperatures go down on 7 degrees this night. I'll keep them in the greenhouse tonight and in the morning. It should be a few degree warmer in there. I'll proceed with the overnight in the greenhouse plan for the next 4 nights. After that the temperature will go down on 3 degree in the night which is too risky for me. I'll take them indoor for a few days after that because the days after that are supposed to go even under 0 degree. But after these few cold days the temperatures should go up even more and then there should only be a few cold days until the real summer starts. Accidentally used Bio Bloom and Top Max already. Looked on the wrong part in the nurtient scheme 🤦‍♂️ But it was only two liters so they‘ll be fine i guess

I have some stains on my leaves. I accidentally used 2 ml/l Bio Bloom and Top Max in Veg. I only used it on 2l water splitted on 3 plants. What can I do against it. Are there other reasons these stains can come from ?

I would agree with AutoflowersSuck. I saw in your diary that ladybugs were on the plant. They’re attracted to eat bugs. I would check if there are some little critters they are looking for. Also in your diary I saw the cracks in the soil. It must be very compacted? I would do something to fix that soil and yeah, check it there are bugs. Hope you figure it out and good luck 🍀 🙂

This week didn‘t start really well. I realized i accidentally used the wrong nutrients last week. But I only used it on 2 Liters of water so it wasn‘t that much. It also seems like I got a bit of water on the leaves and the water increased the power of the sun so a few points of the plants got burnt. Don‘t worry. The yellow or white dots on the plants aren‘t eggs or some insects. It‘s sahara dust. Every spring this dust comed with the wind to germany and sprinkles everything with a yellow or white layer. But on the second day I realized something really cool. My Northern Light Auto is starting to flower! You can see it in the pictures if you look reaaaaalllyy closely haha The few sunny days are sadly over and the weather isn‘t that good. So I had to take the plants indoor again. In the next week the weather will be better and they‘ll get more sun than they ever had before. The plants are looking good so far. Painkiller is a bit small but I think it‘s still because she got knocked over and damaged in the first weeks. I have to pay more attention to that in my next grow. I went on with the LST a bit. Tried to bend her a bit to the side so the light is falling on the smaller leaves and on the parts where she flowers already. Special Queen is already flowering because we had not enough sun in the past days. She should go back into veg in the next weeks. Wanted to top her. I will wait with that till she‘s in veg again. Painkiller grew a bit more. Hope she‘s doing a bit better in the next few weeks.

Its week 6 and the bad weather keeps on going. Its snowing outside and we‘re having temperatures below 0 degree. Hoping to get better weather in the next few weeks so they‘ll get a bit more sun and grow a bit more Special Queen is flowering really much. I‘m thinking about separating her from the other plants when i‘m placing them outdoor so she‘ll stay under 12h of light per day and doesn‘t return into veg again because if she goes on like that I think returning to veg will cause more damage than it helps the plant. Painkillers lower stem is way too thin. I‘ll put some more soil in that pot to support her because she‘ll break down if I‘m not doing anything.

In this week i removed a few big leaves to ensure the light exposure for the blossom. They look a bit naked now but they can focus the energy in the buds now and I‘m looking forward to harvest them in the next few weeks.

Nothing much changed since last week. The buds grew a bit and harvest is getting nearer and nearer. No big problems or anything else. Special Queen is nearly done! I already harvested 2 small buds to see how big the differences between the different stages of harvesting are. I‘m going to wait a bit until 70% of the pistils are brown and harvest the special queen then. She already has some medium sized buds. I am pretty proud of the result so far since its my first grow. Northern Lights is having really small buds. Maybe I cut off to many leaves and stressed her too much but I wanted to make sure that to lower buds also get some sun and made tea out of the leaves. We‘ll see how the plants are doing in the future and how the results will turn out.

The Buds of Northern Lights are starting to get a bit of a purple color. Looks really cool! I harvested a third of the special queen early to get a few medium strong buds and not only too high thc buds. The remaining buds will rest till they‘re completely ready.

This week didn‘t started really well. There were big rainfalls all over germany but especially in my region. I had the plants in the greenhouse so they were safe but after days of rain the water started to drip into the greenhouse. I tried to keep the plants in dry spots but just saw that one of my plants had mold in her flowers. I immediately cut the piece with mold off to keep the rest of the plant safe. As I removed the leaves from the buds I carefully looked all over the buds and cut the mold and the area around it off. I also cut all the buds off the stem and will dry them seperated from each other and not hanging on the stem like last time. This way the risk of another mold infection after the harvest is lower. The next bad news is that the Painkiller looked really sad. Lower leaves were turning yellow or white and the leaves were hanging down. I decided to remove some big fan leaves and to cut off the yellow and white small leaves. Then I watered her good and gave her some self made nutrients out of nettles. In the evening the plant already stood straight again and looked good!
