Week #1-Mar 25 to Mar 31
3/25-Sprout fully emerges this morning. Looks good. Keeping the tent moist and warm and covering the sprout with glass beaker to keep moisture in.
3/28-Leaves were getting yellow in the middle so I checked the Ph on runoff and it was way high. Not sure how that happened but I'm theorizing that the water I had put in the sprayer got contaminated somehow and Ph went way high. So I decided to water the pot to runoff with a new batch of water without the sprayer at 6.0 ph and around 400 ppm. Will monitor reaction.
3/29-Seedling appears to be getting a little more green and I think she's going to be ok in a couple of days.
3/30-Seedling returning to form.
3/31-End of first week and our little seedling is all green again and looking healthy as we go to week #2. Compared to my first WW grow she actually looks a bit further along after 7 days.
Week #2-Apr 1 to Apr 7
4/2-Upped the nute load and she is growing fast and green.
4/3-Continues to grow quickly. Alot more developed after 10 days than on my first Walter White grow.
4/4-Increased the nute load. Watered to runoff 5.6 Ph/1.39 EC/970 ppm.
4/7-First 2 weeks have gone great. 4 nodes so far. Hope to top in a day or two.
Week #3-Apr 8 to Apr 14
4/8-increased nute load a bit as she is looking very healthy. Watered to runoff. I've got 4 nodes showing now with 5th starting to emerge. I will top her in the next day or two between the 4th and 5th nodes.
4/9-Plant continues to grow fast and healthy so today I FIMMed between 4 & 5 node. Will monitor for adverse effects.
4/10-No adverse effects from FIM so far. She seems to be taking it in stride. Starting some gentle LST to get light under top leaves. Watered to runoff.
4/12-No adverse effects from FIM. More LST with leaf tucking. She's up to 4 inches now and trying to get bushy. Watered to runoff with just Ph balanced RO water.
4/14-First 3 weeks have gone very well. Early LST is working to get a nice even canopy going. FIM seemed to go without a hitch with no adverse effects. Trimmed off a couple of big fan leaves to expose new growth. Tieing the biggest new branches down to encourage lateral growth. I think she is setting up nicely as we move towards preflower.
Week #4-Apr 15 to Apr 21
4/15-Watered to runoff 5.5/1.47 EC. Continuing LST.
4/18-More LST to flatten canopy.
4/21-First 4 weeks went well. She is looking healthy. Early FIM and LST has gone with no issues. Got the start of a nice wide canopy. Branches are trimmed up and she is showing first signs of pre-flower and stretch. Switching over to early flowering nute schedule.
Week #5-Apr 22 to Apr 28
4/22-First signs of preflower are showing. Switching to flowering nute schedule. All the LST has set her up for a wide canopy. Expecting to see some stretching start in the next few days.
4/25-Definitely in preflower mode now. Continuing small bits of LST. She's stretched another inch to 7" now in spite of my constant LST to pull the branches down to encourage a wide canopy.
Week #6-Apr 29 to May 5
5/1-Preflower is happening. She is starting to stretch and is up to 9 inches now.
5/3-Up to 11 inches now. Flowering now.
5/5-Up to 13 inches now. Today I managed to fatally damage a main stem as I was trimming some leaves. Rookie move. Otherwise she is looking very good and healthy after 6 weeks.
Week #7-May 6 to May 12
5/6-Changed nute recipe. Moved plant into big tent.
5/12-Plant is flowering nicely but it appears that I did something that has stunted the plants's vertical growth. She seems to have topped out at 15 inches in height and I don't know why. My last WW was more like 26 inches tall.
Week #8-May 13 to May 19
5/17-Buds continue to develop nicely but the plant is not getting any taller. This one will clearly be a low yielder but I'm hoping the bud quality will be good.
5/19-End of 8 weeks and other than its short stature and the large missing stalk I chopped off the plant is looking good. My last WW harvested on Day 87 so we've probably got another 4 weeks to go.
Week #8-May 20 to May 26
5/20-Tried to pull the short, tight, branches apart a bit to get more light in. Buds are definitely getting more dense and frosty by the day. Watering every day to runoff and levels are staying in the 6 Ph and EC 1.5 ish zone. I've included photos from my first Walter White grow to show you how different these 2 plants were.
5/22-Even though this plant is ALOT smaller than the last WW the bud development is happening much faster. I checked the trichomes with the microscope and sure enough I'm already seeing the first hints of amber color in the trichomes. While my first WW went nearly 88 days to harvest I don't see this one lasting another 31 days at the current state of development. So I started adjusting the nutrients by switching to Overdrive. Will continue to monitor.
5/26-The buds have developed very fast and are showing lots of amber at 63 days.
Week #9-May 27 to June 2
5/28-This plant is definitely on the small side but the buds have developed much faster than my previous WW grow by 2-3 weeks. Based on the speed of the trichomes turning amber I decided to start the flushing process today with Flawless Finish. I'll flush daily until the ppm gets under 100. Today the first flush brought it down to around 1,100 ppm.
5/29-Flushed again this morning and EC is down to 1.03 and 650 ppm.
5/31-Flushed to 100 Ppm. Lots of amber now so even though this is way earlier than my last Walter White grow (20 days earlier) I'm going to harvest her now rather than letting it get any more amber.
5/31-This was my 2nd Walter White grow and this one could not have been more different than the first. The plant was less than half the height of the last one. The yield is well less that half the last go round. In retrospect I think the difference is mostly down to grower error. I think I overtrained this one early on and did way to much pruning too early. I carelessly chopped off a big branch which cost some yield. Having said that the buds I did harvest are hard as a rock and dripping with resin. The THC levels on my last grow was 25% so it will be very interesting to see if this batch reaches that level or if the THC levels drop due to my growing errors. We shall see in a couple of weeks.
Why did you switch to flower so soon? I don't think you gave time for your girls to recover from pruning/training before switching to flower. I think this caused the low yields
@IvyGrows, This one is an autoflower so I think it decides when to switch to flower on its own. That's been my experience over 20-25 autoflower grows. In most cases that happens 4-5 weeks into the grow but its not something I've been able to influence. I'm interested to hear how you do that.
