Hi there grow fam, It's been a while but I'm back with this small project. I still had this seed laying around and really wanted to see how it would grow, since I was so excited when I purchased it. I started germination on the 25th of March and the baby was ready to go into her first air-pot on the 27th. On the 29th she started to show her head above ground as you can see on the picture. I am not going to do anything fancy, just going to let the natural sun do it's work in front of the window. Of course I will be feeding the lady and that is already in the soil. As she progresses I will see what she needs and feed her accordingly. Hope you are with me for the ride, hopefully a smooth one but probably not💪🏽 See you on the next one!

Hi there fam, Its the ending of day 8 and I'm pleased with the little lady's growth so far. She is eager to grow and is looking as healthy as can be. I was away for a couple of days and when I came back, she greeted me with a nice growth of her first non-fingered leafs. We are off to a nice start, thats for sure. Let's see what the coming week will bring shall we. See you next week, have a good one fam.

Hi there fam, Last week the "princess" fell over because she was indeed a bit stretchy So I had to support her. It slowed her growth a bit, but, with a few days of great sun she recovered nicely and is back on track. Hopefully she will start making her first true fingered-leafs this week but we'll see. Have a good week and see you on the next one

Grow Questions

I have a question regarding the leaf formation of my Purple Queen. The seem a little deformed and the new growth is also showing signs of deformed growth. What could this indicate? Thanks in advance growmies

This is something seen often in the grow room. Your plant is focusing nutes were there needed not in fan leaves. Keep to your routine you will be fine!.

Hi growfam, It has been colder the last week and a half so her growth was also significantly less than before. Her stem is getting nice and thick, though and she is holding her own nicely now. I'm feeding her BioRhizotonic from biocanna once a week to help her develop a nice root system. In the coming week it's going to get warmer so hopefully then she will grow faster again. See you on the next update fam, have a good one❤️

Hi there Growfam, The weather is finally starting to get warmer and with that comes more sun hours.🙏🏽 It was time to bring her length back down so I transferred her to a bigger 10L air-pot and dug a decent size of her stem deeper into the soil so now she is more manageable, or for the moment at least. I also added an extra LST-clip to her stem so she stays more on the same height as the lower outshoots. Hope they will catch up with the main stem. We have a couple of days with good sun hours and warm temps so I'm confident she will bounce back without too much trouble. See you on the next update growme's

Hi there growfam, Last week was a busy one for me with days away from home so I couldn't get this weeks diary started. But I'm back now and she is doing great! I think I had a pH issue that started to stunt her after a good start but after some treatment with pH- to get soil pH back down, she bounced back and grew really well the last couple of days. Also the weather is getting to temperatures that are more in line with her needs. For now I'm going to let her grow just a tat more before training her new colas and defoliate her a bit. I really like how this is going😃 Hope to see you on the next update growme. Have a good week

Hi there growfam, Last week I was busy and away from home a couple of days. It didn't bother me too much because I felt she needed to just do her thing for a bit. When I came back she was doing well and it seems the lower of the pH of my water has done the trick. And as I said last week after a couple of days I started training her new colas and defoliated her just a tat. She looks a bit bare atm but I'm confident that she will grow new leafs quickly. Excited for the new week Have a good week growme's ❤️

Hi there growmies, It was a good week, not much to report other then I added a dose of trace minerals through the feed. She is growing nicely and her leafs are quite big. Going to let her do her thing and see where she needs some attention in a couple of days. See you on the next update growmies ❤️

Hi there growmies, After letting her go for a couple of weeks, I decided to trim the lady a bit to get her ready for flowering. I'll be doing that by getting her in and out of the tent every 12h. That is going to be a challenge, but what isn't in life. She has a few colas that are not really getting along and which I'm going to turn into clones. She doesn't disappointed so far, really nice genetics from RQS. See you on the next one growmies ❤️

Hi growmies, So I let her go for a couple of weeks, wasn't planning to bore you with that much veg. Anyway she is doing great, really sturdy and healthy looking gal. She has been outside the whole time and has survived an couple of stormy days. At one point her main stem was compromised due to heavy winds but after securing it, she fixed herself up and is holding herself up quite nicely. This is the easiest grow so far and it does not disappoint one but. I'll throw in a picture of the Mimosa Evo so you can compare, they are both the same age. Have a nice week(s) growmies❤️

Hi Growmie, instead of supporting her, you can just dig her deeper. shaking her stem ( softly) between the fingers daily, and giving her moving air ( ventilator) helps her to strenghten the stem. seedling often shoot very long, just dig them deeper. besides that happy first grow

@Biotabs thanx for your advice, I was planning to dig her in deeper when I move her to a bigger pot in like a week or 2. I have her off support now and she is holding her own again. Will apply your advice in future grows. Thnx for reaching out🙏🏽

@Biotabs, I have her inside because of the cold weather. When the weather is consistently warm, I'm going to put her outside. Thnx for asking 👍🏽
