Strawberry Gorilla Auto Outdoor v1

jackiedaytona This is my first outdoor grow and yes I am in a legal state. For the past three weeks they have been in an indoor grow tent. They germinated fairly quickly and were transplanted to red solo cups with holes in them set in trays so I could feed them from the bottom and encourage root growth. Their root ball had taken up the entire cup so I figured it was time to transplant. Plus, temperatures look to remain above freezing from here on out. Soil in the area is mostly clay so I planted using 1 part MiracleGro potting mix, 1 part MiracleGro seed starter and 1 part MiracleGro performance organics. I also charged the soil with Fox Farms fertilizers, specifically Bush Doctor, Big Bloom and Grow Big. The area receives most of its sun in the morning and is fenced in, protected from large herbivores such as deer.

jackiedaytona Lots of rain this week and temperatures remain cool but I am seeing more leaves sprouting and there has been some growth. I will continue to mostly observe and let Mother Nature do her thing.

jackiedaytona This plant has done surprisingly well and unlike its counterpart planted just a few feet away has escaped being chewed on for the most part. She is showing strong favoritism for facing south which is not surprising. And there’s a definite odor to her though still on the weak side. I removed her support as she’s healthy enough to stand on her own even with the strong gusting winds we’ve been getting lately.

jackiedaytona This plant seems to be taking care of itself just fine. We are getting a bit of a cold blast this week but I’m not seeing anything that would give me cause for concern. No plants to top or LST this, going to just let it grow wild.

jackiedaytona Pistils are just starting to show and everything about this plant looks healthy and strong. I’ve got “high” hopes that this will be an absolute towering beast with plenty of bud sites.

jackiedaytona Lots of rain lately which has likely helped this one continue to keep growing. I cut back on the feeding, will probably let mother nature do most of the work with this plant.

jackiedaytona Not much to comment on. Has some odd coloration happening which I thought might be a fungus or something but it appears to be part of the plant.

jackiedaytona Still not a whole lot to add, just letting these ladies do their thing. Continuing to monitor the dark coloration, I even got some NEEM oil but haven’t applied it yet.

jackiedaytona No appreciable change in appearance other than some yellowing of the leaves. Looks like this will be a small harvest.

jackiedaytona I felt like I took these as far as I could. Leaves were yellowing at an increasing rate, the smell wasn’t getting any stronger and we just got hit with a heat wave. Figured now was the time to harvest them. I was hoping for a larger harvest but the smell of these is so much more different vs. growing the same strain indoors. Can’t wait to find out how they smell at the end of the cure.
