This is without any doubts my favorite strain until now... and I'm willing to validate by the smoke test! Amazing resine production and aromas, very strong smell even in early flowering. Has grown tall with long secondary branches and would have been better to be more efficient with the LST. I had to apply a FIM and I liked the results will probably repeat. First time I got finally a plant with the colored buds and it's beautiful

Reviews. Nutrient
Perfect, I believe I'm progressing managing nutrients and found that the proportions are in this end easilly adjustable and in my setup I must be very careful. I used the 3 Partd set + Final Part + FlashClean and will extend with at least CalMag, required as I use water at EC 0.03. I'm also quite curious on other additives for healthy roots and colored buds genetics and will surely include them for next year. This time I way so relaxed, all went well with some doubts here and there, but on me, never on the products!
Reviews. Lamp
Well, I cannot believe the satisfaction to have the ATS 200W PRO in my setup. Unbelievable, I think my pics will speak by themselves, this lamp is pure magic, not only it gives excellent results, but this cycle it saved me a catastrophy. I was out of space in 1.60m heght tent and I made 7 weeks with the lamp at 5 cms from the main and bigger buds. This time I stressed for the excess of light! First the 2 conecentric squere.shapes ideals for the homogene repartition in 60x60cms tent. Even if plants are tall anyhere they are under some leds. Second, the temperature stays very low, except in direct contact. I always run the extractor to evacuate and avoid accumulated heat as the transformer was at 5 cms of the tent roof. It helps a lot to control the climate easilly using ceramic lamps and adjust the temperature. And third, the power selector to adjust the light intensity, having plants so close I was afraid of the light burn. I finally end up at 50% for last 7 weeks! But, I think that level was a perfect compromise were I believe I maintained the flower development healthy for all the bigger and closest to the lamp. I might have a suggestion, move the connectors (power and switch) over the long side of the power adaptor. I know it's a details but in my 60cm tent both cables are touching and force the tent walls. Not a real issue thought, just I don't like to see the cable bends even if I can also appreciate their constructions making are perfectly strong but easilly twistable. And this reminds me I love the extra extra large length for both cables. I would love to test the optative but promissing lights control through an app, I can already imagine the intensity and spectrum variations depending on the moment of the day and the period of the cycle. Hopefully I can afford it soon. THANK YOU .
Reviews. Tent
Excellent, still as new and functionnal after three cycle. I use the carbon filter outside on the top of the tent, the extrator is outside and blows inside air through it. This way I can save space inside and use the maximum volume. Really, I would buy a greater one as soon as I would have more room!

Well that was a special day, it always make me sad in a way, but this time, I enjoyed the moment a lot. As I wrote in a reply to a comment, things can always be better, and they are with good decisions at the right time. These are the smallest and the biggesr plant, one seed didn't germenated and that's why I had to put a Red Gorilla. Not sure I will try a main mlinning on auto flowering strains any more.... but I think I did it wrong, first I took the one that seemed less strong for the experiment, and having 2 other plants to compete for lights. FIM is definetly a technique I will reuse if needed. It's so nice to have these genetic contrasts, colors, aromas, shapes. Many thanks for all the help you gave, precious. 19/04/2024 lower popcorn buds seems dried already! But still branches don't crack on bends. Will check again on Monday. I finally have received, lately a portable microscope, will be more ususeful next year! But this confirms that lower buds might have need more maturity but did the choice to not over complicate by harvesting in 2 times, my indoor tent is also my drying tent, and I wouldn't have any other place to dry the upper buds separetly while allowing the remaining to harvvest with more maturity. In general I think I might have began the Final part too early. BTW, we smoked the popcorn bud, and it's very promissing, we liked it.

Grow Questions

IMO it's almost there, I plan to cut around the 12th april, am I right? As I have 3 plants, and quitre unexperimented, I'm always in doubts for the final, same DWC for all of them, mixed roots inside, same nutirnets, do I have to harvest all at once?

No, you don't have to do it all at once.. but i would be a bit concerned if there is a very long delay from first to last --- dead rotting roots? how long before they die? as long as that isn't an issue, shouldn't be a problem. It will remain alive awhile after it has been chopped down, so there's definitely some leeway there. Think the middle pic is showing a new wave of pistils vs original growth? if trichomes look good on the non-new calyxes, it might be ready soon. the others look like they have a while left.. the calyxes are not plump around the pistil - giving the illusion they have shortened, but really it's the plumping around it that is the cause. they do die and coil up of course... a good chunk of them should be by the end.

Excessive streching, or is it normal? What should I do to get more control for automatic genettics to avoid streching. My guess is that this time, with healthy plants, and 3 in the 60x60 tent, they compited for light. I didn't have a fan and ventilation is poor, would it be that?

If you've no ventilation. Your heat Vs the cold when lights are out causes stretching in pre flower Keeping the temp within 5-6c is crucial for non stretching durin pre flower.. You could HST on the last few days of pre flower coming in to fattening. Tieing down the nodes (supercropping)

Now 7 days from harvest. 3 plants with cloudy tricomes, no spottted ambar it's fine. Is necessary to harvest in 2 times? Give a week more for the bottom "popcorn" buds and the third plant, shorter in shadow? Should I cut whole largest branches entirely, or cut all at same height

I typically only do this for plants that are too close to the lights compared to others, and therefore the ripeness occurs a bit faster at the top than normal. i've tried it in other contexts and i didn't see any meaningful benefit for 3-5 more days for the lowers... the good buds were still where they were expected and the larf was normal relative to how well i trimmed off lower sites early in flower. if i left too much at bottm, that shit is never going to look good, lol, so don't try. focus on the good stuff. you don't really gain any weight for doing it - a limit to how much can happen in a few days. The only reason would be for concerns related to trichome coloration and your feelings on what is best. when i have a tall plant that gets close to lights and the top 3-4 big colas at top start turning purple from the lights.. that's when i do it. So that stuff at top isn't 100% amber if i wait for the bulk of trichomes on good nugs lower on the plant to turn the color i want. Typpically levels it out with any other plants..

Humidity is 90 to 00%, at night, 60-70% with light ON, any solution without machines? Few days before harvest, is there any danger?

get some extra fans in there if you can and if its only got a few days left then consider opening the tent up during the dark period

16 and 14 hours light period in bloom? it was not too much?

@best_hydro, thnaks for reading and catch this unusual specific detail! They are automatics genetics, so day/night is not used to trigger the flowering. Usually I can see most of the indoor growers with auto-flowering works with 20/4 or 18/6 all along, from vegetative to harvest, some even doing 24/0. In my situation, for this tent and what happened, I started at 18/6 as usual and expected to stay like this. I was not in a rush to harvesrt qiuckly this time and I have this belief that plants needs rest and metabolism is doing balanced complementary functions during night and day. It might be more weeks than 20 or 24 (would have to test it). So, maybe it's also less weight, but I do think the final result has an increased quality, especially for taste. My RDWC is 45cm height, my tent is 160cm, the wondefull LUMATEK lamp allows me to hang it at the very top of the tent, and take around 10cms which let me a useful growing height of 160-45-10=105, if you take out the recommended 25cm from lamp to plant, it leaves 80cms for max plant height! So, what happened? between weeks 4 and 5, they streched A LOT! The main reason is the genetic, mostly stiva and also both strain are XL and the breeder said they can reach 120cms... and they are right!!! I'm not familiar with LST or other tecnics to anticipate and drive the shape of the plant so they stay shorter... will have to learn and work on that matter for sure. Other specific factors related to my setup or decision could be: 1. I didn't have a fan until week 4, whiche helped for the next point but already missed to get the branch moving and get stronger rather than longer. 2. I changed the heating system to use ceramic lamps (165W) instead of bathroom heater 1000W throwing very hot aire from the tent intake. That's perfect, but I putted them hung at the top. Then I was forced to move them after running out of space and I'm now sure it's way better, they are at the bottom, and the FAN it moving produced heat from bottom to top and I have more homogenity 3. the number of plants in a 60x60 tent... with an efficient RDWC... so they compete for light, going tall to not be in the shadow of the neighbour! As a result, at wwek 5, the lamp was at top max height and few preflowers already touching it!!! It's not too hot, except that a pair of them where crispy as already in contact. I was working at 75%, 150W over 200W. Also a belief/intuition, I thought even if temperature is as it is, to avoid light stress because I can't respect the 25cms and light excess is also an issue. That's when I decided to lower the intensity to 100W, 50%. I reduced the day light to 16/8 at this moment too, thinking they would stretch less. I also soft bind and tie secondary branches, between them or to the opposite corners of tent structure. Look in week 6, the 53 second video, growdiaries.com/diaries/200921-red-gorilla-girl-xl-auto-tropicanna-poison-xl-auto-grow-journal-by-kannamar/week/1139007 And finally, the preflowers of the central branch the had touched the lamp and were burned, I was concerned it can make them sick, that's when I decided to cut what was crispy, thinking that it will also send a message to the plant too... please stop stretching!!!!! And then I searched what problems can induced this cut and found out I've just performed a known tecnic FIM, said to be low stress and have exactly the effect I thought to change the distribution of hormones and make secondary branch growering better while maintaing the central shorter and the bud fatter. EXCEPT I did that lately but I do believe it had the expected effect. Anyway, back to your question. So 16/8 from week 5. When I entered the rippening fase I lowered them to 14/8, a bit for the same reasons, avoid light excess and buds burn and also to simulate the decreasing light time in autumn, I know that's kind of esoterism. Maybe acting on this reduction is just slowering maturation, which looking at trichomas evolution can be a fact, still very few ambars. Today I'm about to flush, empty tank and add water across the clay to wash, 3 times 10L, until I get 0.1 to 0.2EC, emptying the tank each 10L. Then I will prepare 10 L with water and Flash Clean 3ml/L only. And, I will set day/light to 12/12 and reduced by 2h till monday to achieve 8/16, then 48h of total black night and harvest wednesday morning. I hope this helps you. Sorry for this probably overcharged detailed answer, but thanks to your question I had a chance to solve my debt for debuting the diary end of week five, and I can wrap up what has occured. I will tag some pics in their comments to point at the buds I preformed the FIM, you can't miss them, they are monstruous, bigger and the shape is quite chaotic. Best view and understanding of chaos are pics in the week 9, growdiaries.com/diaries/200921-red-gorilla-girl-xl-auto-tropicanna-poison-xl-auto-grow-journal-by-kannamar/week/1139025

@Sweet_Seeds, thank you for passing by, third yearly grow, super happy, stisfied and proud, knwoing already that I made some little mistakes and improvements for next year. Definetly I would have to take time to choose the most appropiate strain for my setup, at first. Any recommendations? Then, don't do mainlining on RED GG XL auto, pre-flowering starts sooner than I thought (change nuts and temperatures day/night earlier, max 2 plants, even if MyPot has 4 spots, put the ceramic lamps at the bottom and the fan to move/mix air, right from the beginning (I found out it's way more stable), do LST earlier to drive... not as late when the lack of space is scaring, jejeje. You can always do better on so many things!
