stonedraccoon Both seeds germinated in less than 24 hours between paper towels and have already popped their heads out of the 4x4 CM Jiffy Cubes today. I went ahead and transplanted them into their 50-liter final pots. There are two 50-liter pots; one is plastic and the other is fabric. I filled the pots with BioBizz soil. To prevent the young roots from burning but still ensure they have proper nutrients later, I filled the bottom half of the pots with Lightmix and the top half with Allmix. The soil was prepared with 5 Bio Tabs each, Bio Tabs Startrex, and a generous amount of Mycorrhiza. After transplanting, I watered the two seedlings with a light solution of tap water, Bio Tabs Orgatrex, and BioBizz Root Juice.

stonedraccoon Within 24 hours the seedlings settled down in their new homes and started growing. On 04.05, they were ready for me to kickstart the microbial soil life with 5 liters of compost tea for 50 liters of soil. I brewed 10 liters of compost tea with an 18-hour steeping time and on 04.06, I moistened the pots with it without drainage. A little boost to get everything moving in the right direction. 04.10.2024 I lowered the lights by about half, so they are now about 30cm above the plants.

stonedraccoon The Strawberry Banana looks sick since Day 8. It didn't get any better within the last 48 hours. Because it's only the start of week 2, I will replace it with a new and hopefully healthy plant.

When growing, less is more, whether it's light, water, or nutrients. The plant is in at least 15 liters of fertilized soil, which should be enough for at least 4 weeks. I assume that you didn't like the compost tea. It also needs very little light until it goes into flowering; seedlings are fine with 50 watts. For more, just DM me.

@Mia_BIOTABS, I suspect that she didn't tolerate the compost tea well; it was a few days too early. So far, I've never had such problems with it, but rather the opposite—I’ve had good experiences. The Pineapple Express took it really well and is doing great as usual. Unfortunately, I can't bring the lights below 100W in my current setup, but I've already thought about it for the next round to avoid using unnecessary power.

Wishing you lots of success too! I'm curious about the statistics on how many new accounts there have been since April 1st ;) I was already pondering the unusual layering of your soil, but the English text reassured me.

@Waveform, Oh, I wrote the layering the wrong way around. :D Of course, the Light mix is on top and the All Mix is on the bottom. In the big forum with the Swiss domain, I think there were around 20,000 new registrations.

What a shame! Sounded very tasty. Is the pineapple doing better? P.S.: Oh yes, from the photo already. I should have checked right away.

@Waveform, The pineapple is growing and thriving. :D I've already planted a new seed to germinate. The plant will then get a nice spot as a decorative plant by the south window, and from mid-May I'll put it on the balcony.
