Hello everyone! it’s been a long time since my last post. The plants have been growing well, and I managed to take many clones from them. I have to keep them below a certain height to avoid issues with my neighbors, so the max height is crucial.
I had two strong mother plants, and I took around 10 or 11 clones. Now, I have four clones left, besides the two mother plants. Some clones are with friends, and others I couldn’t grow.
Both the plants are purple strains and they smell very strong and nice. They have unique scent profiles which I really like.
I’ll give it another week or two and hope for the best. The buds are filling out nicely, though the plants aren’t growing much taller. The buds are improving each day. I plan to harvest the first plant soon and the others about a week after that. I’m trying to harvest before November to avoid frost that could damage the plants.
One of the mother plants flowered a bit late, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. The largest one has started budding and will need about three to four more weeks to reach full maturity.
That’s it for now. Let’s hope everything turns out well!
@birdmountain, It looks like we're both going with Euforia too.
Germination tray idea was helpful from your diary IDK how I missed it; better than managing small cups.
Happy growing and keep sharing your progress too. 🌱✌️
@Ivatt90, Hey! I simply took a small node that seemed big enough and placed it in small cups. All you need to do is water them every day and avoid trimming the branches too short. From what I've seen in YouTube videos, a slight trim is important but otherwise, they do quite well just leave them on their own for 3 weeks or so.
Out of seven, six survived and I repotted three of them today. The root system they developed was incredible. I'll definitely share pictures of the other three next week. To be honest, I experimented with basil and mint using the same methods, and they were fast and robust. Don't worry, you can go ahead after week 4 but make sure to check out some YouTube videos first.
