deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, marijuana lovers! After a few weeks off from the last season, I'm starting this new journey with my cannabis stash full, a lot of enthusiasm, and the hope of achieving the best harvest of my life... all for the cause! I couldn't resist growing this landrace strain despite it being an indica, since I prefer sativas. I have fond memories of some Lebanese hash joints, and I hope this herb brings back some more memories! The intention for the first weeks of this season is to improve the root system compared to last season and the extreme compaction with lights. Starting next week, I will begin with the techniques that will allow me to achieve this... big roots, big plants! UNTIL NEXT TIME... REGARDS TO ALL! ================================ Info on the Black Lebanon strain from Super Sativa Seed Club: https://supersativaseedclub.com/cannabis-seeds/black-lebanon.html "This is the original Black Lebanon dating back to the 80s, a true Hash plant..." deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground marijuana enthusiasts! This Lebanese seedling is starting to show its first true leaves, it looks happy, living during the day under the fantastic spring sun, and at night, beneath a blue COB (50w) at 450nm and a side LED panel (33w) at 6500K to provide light spectrum presence for colors like green or yellow. I let the seedlings sleep for at least 2 hours daily; I believe every living organism needs to rest. I moisten the substrate with pure mountain water, and this week, as soon as the first true leaves are formed, I will gently start feeding the plant, applying it both through the substrate and on the leaves. I’ve added a small fan to my homemade grow cabinet to move the seedlings and strengthen the stem; when the stems start to become woody, it will be time for transplanting, but there’s no rush. UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, clandestine marijuana enthusiasts! The Lebanese seedling is progressing confidently, showing very compact growth and the stem is getting significantly stronger. Yesterday, I transplanted it into the final pot, a round 15L fabric pot... let the fun begin! After making a complex base substrate mix, I add up to 18 powdered minerals to create an ideal habitat for root expansion, quick establishment of microbiology, and nutrient absorption. I complete the transplant in two phases. In the first phase, I soak the small pot with plenty of water, which allows me to easily remove the seedling. Once buried in the new substrate, I wait 24 hours before watering for the first time, as the soaked root ball substrate will naturally expand moisture to the surrounding dry, oxygen-rich substrate, favoring the immediate start of root expansion. So far, the seedling has only been kept with Mountain water and the initial substrate. From now on, this and all the other plants of the season will eat gourmet with every watering until the end of their days. I will cook at home for them and they will enjoy the best Bio Fertilizers, so they grow healthy, happy, and very fat, because in this garden we like curves and we don't follow diets... the table is set! The first watering after the transplant has been with a special mix of natural honey (enzymes, vitamins, minerals, sugars...) my fresh coconut water Bio Fertilizer with Effective Microorganisms (MM, Minerals, vitamins, cytokinins, gibberellic, auxins....) natural coconut water contains enough energy in the form of hormones, minerals, or vitamins to germinate a coconut seed and provide what it needs in the first weeks of life. To this, I added a bit of another Bio Fertilizer rich in amino acids and minerals, and finally, I adjust the pH of the mix with homemade Ormus from the Cantabrian Sea, which provides the presence of practically all the minerals from the periodic table. Unlike last season, I am going to change the technique and the amount of watering in these first weeks after the transplant. I will start by doing controlled surface waterings and not at the base, with just enough water to moisten only the first 4-5cm of substrate. Although I was pleased with the root development of all the plants from last season, I noticed that there weren't as many roots at the top of the substrate as I expected. The truth is that I promoted moisture at the base from the very beginning, and that did not favor the development of adventitious roots on the surface. I will try to correct it, as root development at the base is always guaranteed once I start with deep watering. After the first watering, I cover the substrate with a thin layer of a special mix to accelerate the development of microbiology and the decomposition of organic matter and the pre-cooked nutrients in the mix. Then I add another layer with roots captured from previous crops; reused roots are very important material for me because this way I inoculate trichoderma and mycorrhizal fungi that grow in symbiosis with the roots. Finally, I cover everything with a good layer of mulch rescued from previous crops, semi-decomposed dry organic matter, humified mulch, and latent microbiology perfectly adapted to the habitat of my garden for generations of reusing mulch from previous seasons. Now all the seedlings of the season are in the main grow tent in their final pots, surrounded by blue lights (450nm), LED panels, and other FS COBs while I wait to replace a blue chip that broke. I’m looking for extreme compactness and spectacular branching to maximize the production of my little joy garden. Before everything, I cleaned and disinfected the main grow tent, organized some cables and lamps, and finally closed the tent for a few hours with an ozone generator at maximum power... all for the cause! UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground marijuana enthusiasts! It's been a week since I transplanted this Lebanese landrace strain and the first nutrient watering, the plant is getting stronger and expanding its leaves day by day, the compactness is maximum and any day this week I will make the apical cut. The plant is being maintained with the initial watering, I aim to keep the substrate very aerated and with just the right moisture to facilitate root expansion. In the substrate, I have three materials that help retain moisture and nutrients, while also allowing for even distribution as the substrate dries out. The three materials are: Vermiculite, Zeolite, and Activated Carbon with MM (Biochar). The plant and its growing companions are kept in the grow tent with a lot of blue light mainly, the plants are reacting extraordinarily showing spectacular compactness. Once I make the apical cut, the lateral branches will take center stage. I'm looking for plants with manageable heights (maximum 70cm), as I move the pots daily either to weigh them or to change their position in relation to the light, and while the plants are still small, I take some out into the sun... all for the cause! This week I have reduced the light time by 30 minutes, now 21h 30 minutes. I will continue this practice every week during the vegetative growth phase, until I reach 18/6h and immediately switch to flowering schedule 12/12h. I estimate 4 to 6 more weeks in vegetative growth depending on the evolution of the crops. This Lebanese plant, an immigrant in Spain, is happily growing in my joy garden. The evolution this week has been very good; the plant is widening and maintaining a very compact and sturdy growth. I hope to finish the pot establishment this coming week and move on to deeper, varied, and concentrated watering. After a foliar application with amino acids at the beginning of the week, I did a very gentle and stimulating watering a couple of days later to avoid overloading the substrate and keep the root expansion comfortable. Yesterday, I started tying the branches to bring them into the light; the plant is already showing a nice bulbous shape and a manageable height. This week, I lowered the light schedule by 30 minutes again, now at 20:30h. UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground cannabis enthusiasts! This Lebanese strain, fully established in its pot, lives and grows happily, waiting to show its full potential in flowering. One more week and I'll switch to a 12/12h schedule. The growth and strengthening have been great this week, water consumption has doubled, I water deeply every 3 days, although I haven't reached the maximum water rate I have planned for this 15L pot yet; currently, I fill it with 1600ml, but in the coming weeks, I'll reach the maximum I have planned, which will be 2400ml. For now, while it's in the vegetative stage, I don't want to saturate the substrate with moisture to promote root expansion. This week, two waterings with Bio Stimulants, a foliar application at the beginning of the week, and I've added a mix of dry amendments to feed the substrate and the Microbiology. The plant is developing very healthily and compactly; I regularly adjust the ties on the branches to control the height and equalize, as much as I can, the height of all the plants in the grow tent. The goal is to achieve a maximum height of 70cm for all crops; there are still at least 3 weeks of growth left, the current one with a 20/4h schedule, and the next two with a flowering schedule of 12/12h. In the meantime, I continue trying to blast my crops with light intensity; I've set my 3 main canopy lamps to 100% intensity and 15-20cm from the tips. Until the plant stops growing, I will keep the two blue COBs and the panel, all 3 lamps with 450nm. When growth stops and pre-flowering begins, I will make a radical change to these lamps and add others. For this season, I have prepared a great arsenal of flowering lights with color spectrums rich in reds and oranges, mimicking the sun in August and September (2100K, 2400K, 2700, 660nm, IR, UV)... all for the cause! deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground marijuana enthusiasts! This Lebanese strain, highly branched and with extreme strength in its stem and branches, is ready for the flowering phase; today it starts with the new schedule of 12/12h. The plant is leaving its adolescence due to the schedule change; from now on, it will live cloistered and deceived. At night it will see the light, and when the sun shines, it will sleep, and I will stop seeing it during the day. From now on, our meetings will be nocturnal and clandestine! 😍 The plant continues to increase its water consumption. This week, two deep waterings, and the last foliar application of the season. Today the plant measures 42cm in height; it has grown 10cm this week. My goal is to radically stop the vertical stretching that occurs excessively in the first weeks of the flowering schedule; I hope for a maximum height of 70cm. I keep the plants flattened with a lot of light intensity; there are no shady spots in the grow tent. 😎 A few days ago, I added another 3000K COB lamp with a lens due to the saturation in the tent from the density and size of the leaf masses. Until the stretching stops, I will keep the same lamps I have been using during the vegetative growth. Once the growth stops and the plant begins to flower, I will make a radical change of all the blue lamps (450nm) and replace them with others, 😍 with predominantly red and orange colors. deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground and organic cannabis enthusiasts! First week since switching to 12/12h, major stretch of the main branches (+8cm), this landrace indica strain that I thought would be easier to tame compared to the sativas, but it turns out the plant grows and strengthens in such a way that it has become untameable, the plant is ready for the flower party. deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground and organic marijuana enthusiasts! It's the second week since switching to 12/12h, and the plant has continued to stretch, another 10cm this week, but no worries, because no plant is going to exceed the 70cm height that was my initial goal. The plant is on fire metabolically, consuming a lot of watering water, and the floral buds are starting to take center stage, the strong branches are ready to support monstrous buds, and so am I! For now, I'm patiently waiting for all the crops to stop stretching, I think it will be in these days, to make an important light change and start with my arsenal of specific Bio Fertilizers for flowering. I grow with intense lights with appropriate color temperatures at each stage, to provoke greater photosynthesis and at the same time encourage the compacting of the plant during the vegetative growth and to produce very large and dense buds during flowering. At the same time, the greater energy uptake leads to higher water and nutrient consumption, and if the substrate and roots have reached flowering prepared, I complete the system with temperature/humidity control and maximum aeration in the grow tent. The truth is that this part doesn't give me problems, as I keep the tent very airy and cool without exceeding 26°C at the peaks, humidity in my house is not an issue. I'm not afraid of light intensity and I'm just cautious about temperature/humidity due to the circumstance of growing indoors and in pots, because I've lived in different subtropical places, I've also seen marijuana crops in Africa and I've checked the intensity of sunlight; artificial lights are just a game compared to the sun, and the heat of those areas and how cannabis develops spectacularly! This season all the plants look very healthy and vigorous, this time I managed to curb my impatience regarding the amount of watering, radical experiments, and high concentrations of Bio Nutrients during the vegetative growth stage, and it shows. From now on, the watering mixes change a lot, the flowering plant needs more variety of nutrients and minerals than in the vegetative growth stage, where it needs more quantity but less variety of nutrients and minerals. With the last watering, I added a mix of dry amendments to the substrate, in that same watering I included molasses to give extra energy to the Microorganisms and get them to start consuming this extra input of organic matter, nutrients, and minerals. This season I'm limiting the use of molasses in waterings; until now I used it in every single watering, from start to finish of the crops. But this season I've only used molasses in the first weeks of cultivation to boost the proliferation of Microbiology in the substrate and the expansion of the roots, and for the past two weeks, I've stopped adding molasses when the plants have had significant volume. Now, the plant will take care of the sugar input to provide energy to the MM; it's not that I've observed any obvious anomalies from the continued use of molasses, but I don't want to influence the original flavor or aromas of the plants. UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of clandestine and organic marijuana! It's the third week since switching to 12/12h, and the plant, with a final height of 70cm, is ready to fill everything with flowers! This rebellious landrace indica has become the big one of the season; I was expecting its indica genetics to be shorter, but there's no way around it—now huge branches dominate the scene and are going to gift me sublime moments... let’s play! As the flowering progresses, the plant is increasing its consumption of water and nutrients, maintaining a good leaf mass, while it has started to shed the large leaves that are hidden from the light, the useless ones, a self-defoliation that shows the practical sense of the plants themselves... everything is going very well! UNTIL NEXT TIME... REGARDS TO ALL! ================================ Info on the Black Lebanon strain from Super Sativa Seed Club: https://supersativaseedclub.com/cannabis-seeds/black-lebanon.html "This is the original Black Lebanon dating back to the 80s, a true Hash plant..." deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground and organic marijuana enthusiasts! Third week since the start of flowering The big girl in the garden stands tall and proud, showing floral buds everywhere; now we just need to fatten her up without complexes because in this garden, we don’t do diets, and we like them big, big, big! The plant consumes watering every 4 days; this week, 2 waterings with various Bio components and increasing EC concentrations. Yesterday, I also added dry amendments to the substrate, a balanced mix of organic matter (Bone Meal, Bat Guano, Bird Guano, Mealfrass, Fish Meal, Blood Meal, Feather Meal, Charred Rice Hulls, Wood Ash, Seaweed, etc.), an exceptional food sweetened with molasses for the substrate's Microbiology... living happy is another thing! deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of clandestine and organic marijuana! Fourth week since the start of flowering and the moments of beauty are arriving, the flowers are taking over! This landrace indica caught me by surprise and grew and grew, when I was expecting a shorter plant, but today I’m happy with this phenotype, the plant has a majestic stature, an enviable leaf mass, and a strong desire to stand out in my joy garden, it consumes water and nutrients like no other... and always asks for more! This week I added a few grams of a mix of dry amendments to the substrate... time to eat! 😋 UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground and organic cannabis enthusiasts! Fifth week of flowering, the plant maintains a spectacular stature, its long branches are starting to fill with flowers, the leaf mass is almost intact, and the coming weeks are crucial for fattening the buds. For the past week, I've been giving all the plants a new organic mix, mostly made up of Potassium Silicate. In this tall plant, it's especially important for the branches to support the weight of the large buds that are already announcing their arrival. UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground and organic marijuana enthusiasts! Sixth week of flowering, the plant is growing flowers and very dark colors are already noticeable among them, the plant is determined that nothing disturbs the formation of flowers, and for that reason, the large upper leaves are giving up their nutrients before leaving the space and falling exhausted to the substrate, this way, the huge buds will have much more direct light on them. Watering is regular and very varied every 3 days, the plant seems to thrive on everything... but of course, home-cooked food is another thing! 😏 UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome homegrown, underground, and organic cannabis enthusiasts! After seven weeks of flowering, this landrace indica collapsed three days ago, but I think it has completely saved itself. Something unprecedented happened to me; three days ago, the plant showed unusual wilting all over, it looked like the plant had been cut the day before. The last two waterings had low EC concentration in preparation for the harvest, and this week I also reduced the light time to 11H. The next day, the plant continued its wilting decay; it was clear that fluids weren't reaching the plant. I held the plant that night, and today at dawn, I cut it. When I removed the ties from the pot, the plant immediately fell over; it wasn't even anchored to the substrate. But the surprise came when I checked the substrate; there was hardly any trace of roots throughout the pot. The soil was very loose and clumpy, and the few roots at the base of the plant barely had the volume of a billiard ball. What happened? I believe that for some reason related to humidity and the strain, the plant's roots began to rot. The abundant microorganisms in the substrate found excellent food in these roots and gradually made them disappear as they rotted, to the point where the plant collapsed without roots. The trichomes are intact, and I take these two days of problems as a preview of the drying process since the appearance was exactly what the buds look like after 2-3 days of drying, fluffy! I would like to know exactly what caused this disappearance of the roots, but well, I’ll leave it as mysteries of agriculture. Now I have the plant in front of a fan to speed up moisture loss. In a couple of weeks, I will test the result. UNTIL NEXT TIME...
