*** INTRO ***
Hello friends,
this will be my first grow und grow report EVER. I will make a lot of mistakes, but I will be really thankful for any kind of tips. My mother language is german so you can also write comments in german. SInce germany allows three plants since the 1st April of 2024, I will grab the chance and fulfill a childhood-dream of mine: growing my own (easy) bud.
I hope you enjoy the report!
*** GERMINATION ***
I used the Paper-towel-method and put the seed between two plates and two paper towels
- Temperature -
average: 21,2 °C
min: 20,1 °C
max: 24,9 °C
start: 24-04-14 - 02:25 o clock
germinated: 24-04-15 - 21:30 o clock
length: about 1 cm
*** FIRST POT ***
Sadly, I made the first mistake: I used to less substrate so the pot looks a bit lost I made a hole about 2cm deep and put the seed into it. Then I watered it until it drained and let it soak in the drain for about 10 minutes. Then I put a plastic bag above it and put it in the tent.
Fan: Primaklima Whistleblower EC 800m3h at 10% with a RhinoPro 300m3h and about 1 meter of PhonicTrap.
Light: 25 % strenght at 35 cm distance.
Temperature:
light on: ~ 25,0 °C
light off: ~21,4 °C
RLF: ~90%
Wish me luck and have a nice day,

*** EDIT 01.05.2024 ***
So my first easy bud never came out of the soil... I started a second one and it did come out. This time, I put them not as deep, made the soil more compact by pushing it in, and watered it properly with about 150ml of water (from the tap, put it aside for 24h). This time I used a potting mix.
I did the same for a Green Crack and a CBD Crack from 420 fastbuds on the 24th oh April, which I will put outside on the balcony later. I watered the cbd crack with 250 ml (just to test different things out).
I forgot to weight the pots before I watered them the first time... thought about it 2 days later.
Weight:
26.04.24, 19.30
Easy bud: 440g
Green Crack: 450g
CBD Crack: 470g
01.05.24, 22.50
Easy bud: 390g
Green Crack: 381g
CBD Crack: 415g
I did not water them any more since. Lets hope they will rise and shine. Guess I will have to water soon.
*** UPDATE 03.05.2024 ***
So the CBD Crack and the Green Crack started going yellow and leafes curling down. The Easy buds leafes were being limp and also going more yellow. They also stopped evolving.
I asked here and in other discussion boards and it seem slike the potting mix I used was NO good (way too hot, too much Phosphat and Kaliumoxid) for the plants. So I made a decision and repotted them in the same pots but with BioBizz light mix. I know automatics should not be repotted at all, and I planned to do it once. So know it will be two times in the end. But the plants are already looking better and started growing again. So lets hope this solves the problem and will not leave too big scars.
Thanks for all the answers, you guys are awesome.
I wonder if theres something wrong,.. The cbd crack has a white tip, the green crack has a leaf that curves down and goes yellow... not sure what to do. Will observe for now until someone has a good idea. Used potting soil and watered 150ml at the start, none after that..
Mix 15ml of piss with 200ml water, shake well and add 10ml each day to the base of the plant, add paper towels on toe bottom of the pot to draw out moisture and wait.
It will bounce back within a week!
I don't like how wet your media looks, especially if you didn't just water them. It's probably holding too much moisture and stunting root development. Mixing perlite into your mix really assists with drainage and helps keep your soil loose for your roots. Also some potting soils come preloaded with compost, etc and could be a little too hot for your seedling. Potting "mixes" are generally lighter and safer for young plants.
Hey guys, I wonder if I should already repot the Girls? Earth is nearly dry, and I am not sure if I should water them and Leave them Like this for some More Time or Repot into the Last Pot.
Also thinking about turning the light from 25% to 50% power.
So my general rule is when I see roots on the sides then it’s time to up pot. So if you can see that then you defiantly can up pot now.
A little trick is to take your container with the plant in it and fill the new pot with dirt all around the existing pot that has the plant in it. This leaves the absolute perfect hole that you can easily plop and drop your plant directly into it.
Also, now is the time to Apply Mykos to your roots. The beneficial fungi expand the roots reach 100x or more. I use Garden Xtreme Mykos when I transplant.
As far as the light goes, this really should be measured and not guessed. Download a PPFD app on your phone and get a reading at the plant. You should be around 350-400 PPFD for 18/6 light schedule. Then tune your intensity / heights of the light to get you into that range.
I hope this helps.
I don't think its time yet.
I like to see a bit more root mass when looking at the base of the pot. I find that if you transplant to early and the root ball is not well formed the soil can fall apart. If the soil does fall apart it can damage the existing roots witch adds to transplant shock and sets things back.
It's ok to water soil based grows just don't over do it, I don't get runoff with soil grows but watered them tons of times before transplant and after. When my plants are established "full root mass in the pot" they will drink much faster vs a transplanted pot. Its very easy to over water transplanted plants with soil and the first water after transplant normally lasts twice or three times as long till it becomes established in that new pot.
If you feed with liquid nutrients in soil with no runoff its normally feed-water-water or feed-water every other cycle it needs water. and if you feed with amendments you tend to top dress once every 3-4 weeks.
Good Luck!
Definitely re-pot soon, those small cups will limit root growth quite quickly and this will slow plant development.
In future, try and use pots that are not transparent, clear pots are really bad, roots need complete darkness to grow properly.
