Alpaca so week 5 has started, growth really picked up last week and shes showing white hairs in lots of places now, expecting her to start flowering late this week. Looking forward to see her stretch, with the six side branches she threw up in the last 3 days. Ive begun tucking some fan leaves under side branches to promote their growth and hopefully let them catch up. day 31 and she just creates node number 8, every node having 2 side branches Day 32, new light came in, led COB drawing 150 watts, more than enough for my tent. I hope the dwarfs will enjoy this for flowering. Cheap carbon filter came too, works like a charm, smell is gone. Did some more tucking, 5 sidebranches are now poking through the canopy, super excited for flowering now. Day 35, end of week 5. Stretching finally started, about 3cm of height per day now. The tops of the stems are showing more and more white hairs that are kind of tucked in. Flowering begins next week for sure

Alpaca About 3 of my leaves have spider mite holes so I'm keeping a close eye on them. there appear to be very few of them but I'm cutting down leaves that are affected. Also removed the first 4 sets of leaves because they had tiny larvae on them eating the leaves, just my luck. Other than that the plants are looking great, flowering started and the plant is stretching a a healthy pace.. Day 37, we broke 40cm on the bigger dwarf. My light is already almost the highest it'll go, they seem to handle the new light very well, the improvement is beyond obvious ( the light was only 40 bucks ). Day 39 both plants are now standing at 53 cm tall. Meaning in 48 hours the first girl free 13 cm and the second girl about 16 cm. That's crazy Day 40 already, I hope growth slows down a bit, my light won't go much higher. They're both already at 20cm for the light, which they are enjoying but still. Day 41, second plant is officially taller at around 63cm compared the the first girl at 58 cm. Please stop growing soon Last day for week 6, we definitely had our flower stretch and the girls are 62 and 78 cm. I made a last janky adjustments to get the lights higher so hopefully girl 2 stops growing soon so she doesn't burn herself

Something ate a hole in a leaf last night. It not a complete hole through just the chrolophyll was scraped off, leaving a yellow bite mark (picture in diary). I removed a caterpillar looking thing from my tent this morning, no idea how it got there. Could that have been it?

There are many bugs that could have made that. If you found a caterpillar then ley probably was guilty. Sunshine A butterfly must have flown in and layed some eggs

Alpaca Day44, first girl stopped growing and is going full flower now at 65cm , second girl in the back is turning into some kind of freak experiment and she's about 85cm. Also moved my carbon filter while the plants were in the tent, biggest mistake so far. Snapped two branches off my little third plant, and snapped a branch from my second girl with budsites on it. Taped it though and the leaves still look healthy after 6 hours. day 45, not much going on. Both plants have stopped stretching it seems so the buds are coming hopefully Day 46, was hoping for the flowering to have advanced a bit farther but I'll be patient Second girl is showing some heat stress at the top, can't really do much about that, wasn't expecting a 90cm "dwarf". I thought of one last way to move the light up if I really need to. Day 47, I said they stopped growing... Whoops. Second plant is 1,05 meters and first is 70cm. I hope they stop I'd like to close this week by saying in very pleased with overall progress. They're definitely not early girls but their size will definitely make up for that when the plants finish around week 11 ( that's my prediction). There is some crystal production going on around the flowers and some sugar leaves are becoming apparent too. Second girl outgrew my light adjustment possibilities and as a result is about 7cm from my light, I made up for it by placing the light between the plants so the main colas arent receiving a huge blast, but at about 120cm she's surely going to deliver some nice bud (she's twice as heavy as my first girl too).

Alpaca No more nutes probably. Harvest is approaching, trichomes are mostly milky with a few transparent and a few ambers. Sorry for the sudden less frequent pictures. I've been obsessing a bit less over my plants. First girl definitely has a deficiency but I don't think it really makes a difference to fix it at this point. Absolutely love the second girl, she's looking amazing and her buds are super dense

Planned harvest is in about 7 days, trichomes are almost all cloudy. My plants would be harvested at around day 70, will they be finished?

Hello ! Looks lake your plants can be harvested if your trichomes are milky and according to the breeder estimation. However I would wait for one more week at least to let the buds swell a bit more as what I can see on the pictures could be bigger. I hope it will help you 😁✌️🏼

The_Projexx
The_Projexxcommented6y ago
@Alpaca, Alright as long as your feeding nutrients she will be fine and you will need to flush 1-2 weeks before harvest :) other then that everything seems pretty bang on . :)
Alpaca
Alpacacommented6y ago
@The_Projexx, I've been feeding flowering nutes since week 6. Dosage has always been at around 30-50% recommended strength to prevent burn. I'll look into those advanced nutrients for upcoming grows, but I'll try keep this one simple to see if I can go through a full life cycle properly
The_Projexx
The_Projexxcommented6y ago
@Alpaca, Well based on the stats of your diary that I see I would suggest starting to use bloom nutrients because your plants going to want some more PK and if your not giving her anything she will suffer a deficiency pretty quick . The formation of the flowers is a huge work out for you plants so i would also consider get some sort of chelation agent to help it out with recovering time as well as a few other things , B52 is a good one as well as Bud candy they are both from advanced nutrients , you dont have to use these ones per say but products simular to these will greatly benefit you . bud candy is more of plant junk food to help with crystal production as well as oil productions . It gives the plant all the "foods" its missing without adding nutrients to your line up . B52 is a humic fulvic acid mix up that will act like a protein shake for you lady's . All in all tho your in good shape man if you choose to keep going like this you wont have to flush your plants as they will have no nutrients in them to flush out lol . Thats my feed back :) -Happy Growing .

A neem oil solution sprayed can keep away mites and other small visitors 👽, i strongly advice to take action against them! They are a nightmare if start feeding on your ladies...they are beautiful!

@@Lady_ZuppaStufa, as soon as I notice mites I'm treating my leaves
Lady_ZuppaStufa
Lady_ZuppaStufacommented6y ago
@Alpaca, neem oil is the naturalest solution ever, I personally use it even just for precaution, it does not hurt the plants in any way...if you have found holes in leaves sure you have a problem mate, at least a potential one :) Hope everything goes well!

Great job! I hope my first grow in 20 years goes as well as yours. Waiting on 3 50w cobs in mail. Please come back and give us a final weigh in and a post cure review.

@Mr_Morbo, if I were to guess it's 30 grams or so. I'll be sure to let you know what the final weight is, the trichome production on this strain is gorgeous. Good luck with your grow

now my gorilla is more dwarf than yours 😅 your grow looks really good, think the buds will fatten up faster now 🙌👏🙌 good look bro 😇
Alpaca
Alpacacommented6y ago
@RoyalSton3r, Ive been seeing the buds on my second plant swell very nicely, first plant is still very fluffy. Not sure why all the plants got so tall when the average is 40-60 cm. Thanks for the kind words :)

So your plant is stretching too big too ! I was beginning to feel like I’m the only one having a tall dwarf ! Hope that our babies will stop growing ... mine is close to 80 cm now ...
Alpaca
Alpacacommented6y ago
@GreenCasual, I know right? Every royal dawrf diary here almost has these short stumpy dwarfs. My second plant is 78 cm since today, I can't raise my light anymore. Hope the extra height comes with some nice bud production for us

Alpacacommented7y ago
@howie03, i give her 4-2-2 nutes on a very low strenth ( about 25% of recommended strength) and the leaves are dark green so I shouldnt do any more. I bet yours will shoot out leaves and branches week 4 just like mine

Hey mate, in how many days will you start to flush ? :)

@GreenCasual, I've started my flush. My trichomes are turning milky

@GreenCasual,good question. I'm not completely set on the flushing yet. I don't want to cut my nutrients short while the flowers are growing. I'm expecting to start my flush in maybe 10 days or so

I think my girls are not growing so high. I am at 28/38 cm for my ladies with 90W plant led and 5x10W Philips Bulbs with 4000K. It's day 41. The smaller one seems to start grow now a little bit faster but she is slightly behind the development of the 2nd one. Do you mix nuts in everytime you watering them? I'm not sure with mine. They need a lot more of water now and I am in fear to overfeed them 😩 I am just following the advise of Athos from my question to week 5.
the end.
