2 April 2024: I planted the seed in the moistened peat cube, which I then placed in a kind of mini greenhouse made from a half-litre plastic bottle.
7 April 2024: the seed germinated
Day 4: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca.
Day 7: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Grow.
Having last year's plant as my only reference, I am definitely surprised: I have been a little bolder with the dosage of fertiliser and she's growing at a prodigious speed.
All magnificently.
Day 10: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Grow.
Day 14: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Grow.
The plant is in good health, but the unusually cold temperatures these days have greatly stunted growth.
I hope the cold weather will pass soon, but it seems it will not.
Day 18: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Grow.
The weather this week has also been cold and rainy: the plant has grown little, although she looks fine.
I hope that sun and warmth will return soon.
The plant is growing healthy and strong, although a little more sun would have done her good.
I could not give her water and fertiliser this week because she has been watered by rain.
Day 35: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Grow.
The first part of the week was cold and rainy, then the weather became more clement, so I was finally able to fertilise the plant.
She's growing quite well, although a little strange: we shall see.
Day 37: watered with water only (1.5 l): from the appearance of the plant I deduce that I overdid the fertiliser two days ago.
Day 41: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Bloom.
The plant clearly made me realise my fertilisation error of last week, I corrected it and she has started to grow well again. However, the low temperatures and rainy days have caused her to remain small: by now she has entered the flowering phase, I fear she will not grow much more.
Day 47: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Bloom.
This week the plant has grown at an astonishing speed and is doing very well.
Everything is going well.
Day 50: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Bloom.
Day 54: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Bloom.
Still growing wonderfully...
Day 57: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Bloom.
Day 60: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Bloom.
Again this week, the plant continued to grow at an astonishing rate, reaching a height almost 50% taller than the one grown last year.
Now I think she has stopped: she is concentrating on growing the many buds has developed.
I am confident of a really satisfying harvest, which I would not have thought possible a few weeks ago.
Day 64: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Bloom.
Day 67: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Bloom.
Day 69: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Bloom.
The plant has definitely stopped growing and is concentrating on developing the buds.
Everything is proceeding well.
Since I can no longer use neem oil and potassium soap, a few insects are eating some leaves, but nothing serious: in fact, I remove the leaves myself as they turn yellow.
Day 72: watered with 1.5 l of water only.
Day 74: watered with 1.5 l of water only.
Day 76: watered with 1,5 l water + Plant Succes Orca + Plagron Alga Bloom.
This week I had decided to switch to root washing, convinced that I would harvest shortly.
However, I have noticed that the buds, although they are doing very well, are ripening more slowly than expected. I have therefore administered the usual doses of fertiliser on day 76, as harvest seems no longer so close. From the next few days I will resume root washing.
Day 80: watered with 1.5 l of water only.
Day 82: watered with 1.5 l of water only.
Day 84: I decided to harvest most of the buds today and the rest in a week's time, because the lower branches have yet to fully mature. Watered the rest pf the plant with 1.5 l of water only.
Good evening.
I have made a little mess: when uploading a photo I pressed something and now I can no longer see the photos in the diaries, neither mine nor those of others.
Does anyone know how I can restore the view of the photos?
It’s a problem with the site since they did maintenance this past weekend. Hopefully they all come back. My guess is they will be working on it this weekend.
Hope this helps.
All I can say right after harvest, while the buds are drying, is that the plant has proved to be strong, reliable and more productive than last year's.
Furthermore, and for me this is undoubtedly a positive aspect, even at the peak of flowering she emitted rather discreet aromas.
This weed hits hard.
She has a definite indica effect, which relaxes you and glues you to the couch.
If you are watching a movie, you feel like you are a protagonist.
She is not, however, a weed that makes you laugh like an idiot: on the contrary, she increases concentration and makes you introspective.
She is a more philosophical weed than a laughing one.
This year I harvested in two stages: the first (the upper branches, about 3/4 of the total) on day 83, the rest on day 90.
The plant proved robust and eloquent and gave me no problems.
I only made one mistake, when I administered the fertiliser for the vegetative phase while the plant already wanted the one for flowering: the plant signalled the problem to me and I only had to rinse the roots and administer the correct fertiliser.
