GreenCologne The cultivation of cannabis was legalized on April 1, 2024, through a change in legislation. Of course, I immediately ordered seeds from Zamnesia and planted them on April 6, 2024 (Day 0). I'm growing 1x Purple Haze Automatic (Zamnesia Seeds) and 1x Amnesia Skunk Automatic (Zamnesia Seeds).
My goal is to start the plant indoors and, when the weather outside is warm enough (probably mid-May), move it to my windowsill. Mother Nature should take care of the rest for me.
Since I only have a cheap grow light, I decided to spare the plant the stress of repotting and plant it directly into the final pot. For this, I'm using a 35cm x 35cm pot, with a capacity of 11L of soil and an additional water reservoir (4L). The pot can be found on Amazon under ASIN: B07B9WCMJV (no affiliate / cost me about €16, but it was already used for peppers last year and they loved it). For the soil, I opted for a pre-fertilized grow mix, which can be found on Amazon under ASIN: B08J8YVR4R (no affiliate / !WARNING! The price fluctuates very often and significantly between €18 and €27. You might need a bit of patience).
To provide the seed and seedling with optimal humidity, I built a mini greenhouse out of an espresso cup, cling film, and a rubber band. This way, I only need to keep a small area of the large pot moist at the beginning.
After about 60 hours (Day 3), the PH seedling poked its head out of the soil. (Hopefully, it will be a girl…) On Day 4, the AS seedling was also visible.
Day 6: Unfortunately, the plants started to stretch due to the inadequate grow light...

Hey there,
Looks like the Skunk has started to stretch a lot lately even though the lamp is pretty close, imo. My handy app says the leaves are getting ~10k LUX. Shouldn't that be more than enough to prevent them from stretching at this early stage? (Day 6)

These are not good enough lights mate.
If you've to hold a light tat close to a plant & it only covers a small area.
You need minium a 100w light or a light that puts out at max setting 800-1000ppfd
Yes, u can use lights once they go beyond or near 700ppfd. Other than that your plant will stretch. Larfy bud & pretty much a big waste of time
You can even get p600 or Mars TS600 100 watt. Spider-Farmer SF-1000 is a great starter light. I'm still using mine 2yrs on for vegging and starting my plants..
My point you can even pic up a cheap full spectrum phzion (not sure thats their name) but you'll see their led boards on amazon for 50$.

Due to the strong April sun of the last few days, the plants have stopped stretching and are finally developing their leaves.

Since it has started raining again, the plants have unfortunately moved back inside.

Day 16:
Today, the outside temperature is 3°C - 10°C. Unfortunately, way too cold, so they are staying inside again.
Day 17:
With daytime highs around 11°C, they got to enjoy some fresh air and a bit of sunshine for 2-3 hours today.

Unfortunately, there was still no sun over the weekend... hopefully that changes this week.
Day 24:
Today there were 5 hours of sunshine and the plants enjoyed the nice weather all day :)
Day 25:
1:00 PM Today I started with LST.
8:00 PM After 7 hours in the blazing sun, the plants have already turned back towards the light.
Day 26:
With the Purple, the first signs of flowering are becoming visible. A very subtle cannabis smell has also started to emerge. However, it's only noticeable up close.

After several days of absence and strong growth, I wanted to adjust the LST on both plants. Unfortunately, I bent the main stem of the Skunk too much and it broke...

The Skunk is doing a bit better. The absence of the main stem noticeably stimulates the growth of the side branches.

After several days of plenty of sunshine, the plants are noticeably doing well. The Purple has grown nicely, and the Skunk has also managed to recover remarkably well. The side shoots are now shooting up strongly.

Now the sunny period is over again, and some rain is forecasted for the coming days :(

After a long time, here are a few photos again...
The Purple looks magnificent in my eyes. The buds are forming and look juicy. How much longer until the harvest? 1 week? 1 1/2 weeks?
The Skunk, on the other hand, has clearly suffered from my mistake in week 4. Although two side branches have shot up strongly, the "buds" look more than meager...

The plants look good so far and are outside in the sunshine and inside during cloudy weather and rain.
Purple Haze is clearly further along, most of the pistils are already brown. However, there are still no yellow leaves, and the trichomes remain clear and transparent.
The Skunk is not as far along yet. Almost all the pistils are still white.

Since some of the trichomes have already started to turn brown, the plant was heavily pruned today. It will stay like this overnight and will be cut down completely tomorrow and hung up to dry.
Day 82:
After about 8 days, the harvest yielded 21g dry.
