Starting two more NYCD, this time I will be attempting a flux training technique on this hybrid.
First week went well, both seedlings are growing strong a fast. I have decided to do not use any notes for the first week, the super soil is uncharge of providing the nutrients necessary for now.
Lamp is ONEO 600w, plants seem to love it, super soil mixed by me, organic, worm cast, perlite. Flora series will start on week 2.
Any suggestions and tips for this flux attempt are welcomed!
Stay lit folks!😎
Both seedlings are growing nice and strong. Week 2 went smooth.
I have placed these seedlings on the same space I have my week 6 NYCD, the big one is under a 1000w lamp in one end of the tent and the 2 seedlings under a 600w lamp on the other end of the tent.
Nutes have been introduced on a spray bottle. 2x a day, morning and evening they get a drink.
I will be doing the first topping on week 3, but Im already having butterflies on my stomach :(
Tips and suggestions are welcomed!
Stay lit folks!😿😎😎
Great week of growing nice and thick for these two babies.
Now the horror... I have toped them, attempting to flux to hopefully get a larger yield. The feeling of topping such small plant can be quite.... emotional.... Lol
There is a great video on youtube that give a close look on how to top your babies, here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niz9MLNgN9k
I didn't tie them down right away because the new growth nodes are to small, I will give them a couple of days to recover. I used the cuttings to make clones, I will post photos if they thrive.
Stay Lit folks!
Too much happened this week with these two plants, I will start with the mainline side branches getting nice and thick that's a good sign! But than, lol, if you take a close look, it looks like they are trying to bloom!!! Now that, is not a good sign....Let me know what ya'll think about this "early bloom" or if im just stoned.
On day 30 the gals got a new home, 5 gal smart pot filled wit super soil + perlite.
Now the tragedy, after performing the second topping while I was trying to secure the branches down with soft wire....I heard a snap.....a tear came down...I used tape to put the little branch back in place, but as you can see on the photos it was a bad snap, I don't expect her to recover from that but I had to try anyways.
Growers, please let me know if that is what they should look like, minus the broken branch part 💩
Cheers!😎
Comparing to my other diary on NYCD the growth speed for these 2 is slower with all the topping and bending, both plants are strong and have vibrant colours, they look healthy, even the one with the broken branch.
You will notice on the photos one plant is crippled, I tried to tape the branch to see if she would recover but unfortunately she didn't. I removed the bands and decided to let her grow free, well, at least one side of it.
The other one got topped twice so fa, branches bent and secured as shown in the photos. I don't think I will be topping her anymore, I am afraid she won't have enough time to recover but we shall see what happens next.
Thanks for all the visits, tips and advices!
Stay Lit Folks 🌬️😎
Let's start talking about plant #2, the one that got crippled. Her one side is growing, but growing slow... I hope she provide me with at least 15g of dry flower. There is this weird burn on the leaf close to one of the flower formations I have no idea what that is...
Plant #1 is looking healthy but a miniature as well, I don't think she will streach or grow nice buds, the HST have definetly messed her up. There are 8 potential colas on the make, but I wish she was Fem instead of auto 😢
Note to self: The genetics of these Autos are too weak to deal with HST.
All advice and tips are welcomed!
Stay Lit Fam
This Lady is getting bigger I hope she spikes growth this coming week. 🤞🏼
I did a slight removal of fan leaves and a session of LST, I removed the hooks because the branches were pushing up, so I have her all tied down, Im looking for some symmetry this time around. The mainline base is getting thicker and flowers are blooming.
I think after all this HST and LST I "dwarfed" this Auto 😂😅
If you have had a similar experience please share, I would love to hear your Auto flower trials 🙌🏼
Thanks for the visits, stay lit peeps😎
I'm late on posting due to school finals, but now we are back on regular activities 😎
Both Plants are developing their flowers slowly for week 8, the "crippled" plant is fully recovered from her second accident (the heater burn that got some leaves crispy) so I decided to LST her a bit for better light reach.
The mainline girl is all tied down and growing with nice symmetry despite her very small size, her flower development is happening well.
If anyone have recommendations on Coblights, please let me know as im looking into upgrading the grow light system!
Stay Lit growers 😎
Not much to report this week, both girls are flowering and growing, the mainlined one got a defoliation sesh and its growing with symmetry, the other one got some more LST now the she is fully recovered from previous disasters.
Stay Lit folks 😎
These 2 Plants have gone through a lot of different trials on training that have taught me so much about Auto Flowers.
Finally the buds on the Mainline plant are thickening up 🙌🏼
The "Accident prone" plant is getting taller and developing more branches, even tho she is only growing one side lol
the flower formation on this plant is subtle compared to the other one.
A lot of learning with these two, can't wait for harvest day!
Stay lit folks 😎
After been by the ocean smoking weed and drinking tropical cocktails for a few days, Im back to my garden!
I am going to start with the biggest learning I have from this grow: do not by any circumstance try to FIM or Top Crop King NYC Diesel Auto, unless you want to turn the potential 30inch height growth into a computer grow kind of plant, a mini cannabis plant, if you have limited space that's the way to go.
The symmetry on the colas is really cool, they are thicker than my previous NYCD colas, small in size. Very pretty colours and the crazy strong smell, a Diesel strain is a Diesel lol
The broken one pushed and survived well all the way to the end, only 2 real colas came out of her the rest is covered in resin good for hash and edibles, I guess she will go straight to the edibles bag!
Both plants are currently flushing, harvest coming up next weekend, I am very curious to see what those little bananas will weight on the scale
The contrast on both diaries growing the same strain from the same seed package from the same breeder have quite the difference great learning curve!
Stay lit Folks
The GD community help was crucial to make this grow happen! The outcome was interesting as I learned that the strain NYCD from Cropking is not strong enough to be FIMMED, however if you apply LST only you will harvest much more. Now I will start a new research online to buy professional lights for my next run it will be either SSH or Northern Lights! Thanks for all the help, stay lit folks!
