Stretched a bit for the first 2 weeks cause I only had a 400w hps setup for my entire grow, no cfl's or hid lights involved. Smallest plant on the right grew upside down, so I turned it right way back but as you can see, it's a bit behind in growth and length. 2.5ml/10l of nutrients added to ph balanced water.
Starting to like the hps. Plant that was upside down grew 2 weird big leaves, almost like a strawberry plant, then topped itself from the very beginning from the stem, almost like a 3 way split. Never seen it before, but can't wait to see what happens. 5ml/10l nutrients:water
Put them into bigger pots. They stretched a bit in the beginning and night time temperatures have dropped as I have started growing in the winter. Overall, they seem healthy and respond well to the nutrients and the 50/50 promix they're planted in. 7.5ml/10l nutrients:water
I skipped a week as I was away from my plants, had to plant 2 of them into bigger pots when I got back. Growing so fast right now, only the one plant that's a bit behind in growing. Might be the night time temperatures or maybe not enough nitrogen. Not too sure. Leaving them on the same nutrient schedule until I flip the lights.
Last week of flowering then switching to 12/12 light cycle. Put the other plant into a bigger pot. Roots looking healthy and plants are still loving the nutrients.
They're looking good and healthy and the Smell is intensifying. The one plant is stretching a bit too much for my liking but we will see what happens. Buds are looking hairy and frost is starting to form.
So each plant seems to flower at a different rate even though I kept the light schedule the same. So surprised at how the upside down plant turned out. Super bushy and the buds are starting to turn so frosty. The smell is starting to become stronger everyday. Temperature outside is getting warmer as summer is approaching.
Another week gone by, buds are fattening up so quickly and the plants are still growing fast everyday. Luckily I don't have a problem with vertical growth. Can't wait to see and smell them closer to harvest.
Finally got some pictures before the light came on and man do they look good. It was taken with two different cameras, so some of the pics might look a bit greener than the other.
So as you can see, they are sparkling :) the fan leaves at the bottom are starting to turn yellow and working their way up. Started the flushing process on two of them as the one is about two weeks behind flowering. Very grateful that I haven't had any problems with mould or pests, touch wood. About two weeks left before harvest time. Still need to buy a proper pruning shear. Any suggestions as there are so many out there?
Okay finally got some time to load some pics. They are smelling sooo good, has a very citrus/lemon aroma and most of the trichomes are starting to turn milky. Still flushing them, reckon I have another week or two to go, will keep a close eye on them.
The time has finally arrived :)))
Milky trichomes ready for harvest and judging by the intense smell and yellowing leaves falling off, I made the decision to cut. So I started the harvest about 5 days ago and finished the last plant today. I had to do one plant at a time as I was limited with spare time and jeez did I find out how much of my time trimming can take up! Super happy with my harvest and the quality of the bud, although it appears each of the plants have different qualities even though it's the same strain. Will be keeping an eye on them while they are drying, have a feeling it might take more than a week as I stay a stone's throw away from the beach.
This was by far my one of my favourite strains grown with thick, resinous buds that gave a real sativa like high. Good for a day time smoke but not for the inexperienced.
So happy with my first successful grow and harvest. Loved growing this strain and would recommend it to any newbie or old hand that's growing. Buds has so much resin on them and they are super stinky and sticky.
Hey @cpt420! Nice to see another South African on here. I'm also growing Dinafem but an auto and outdoors, the White Widow Auto XXL. Your plants look amazing! Will be following your grow! Awesome! 💥
Hey @cpt420. Thanks so much! I'm growing in Pretoria. Yeah, the wind in the cape is obviously nuts. Would be tricky. But the amount of sunshine could be amazing! Super well done on this grow, man! Nailed it! Looking forward to your next diary!
Hey, awesome to see another South African on here too. The community is just getting bigger! Your plant is looking good and healthy man. Which region are you growing outdoors? It's way too windy and open here in my back yard to grow outside, would still love to try though.
Looking crazy my dude !! Those buds are white as snow ! A friend of mine is also growing original amnesia from Dinafem and the growth that it undergoes in the first weeks of flower is unheard of !!
Happy growing dude and keen to check the harvest ;)
Thanks man. Yeah it's crazy how quick the flowering started. After about 2 days after I flipped the light, the first hairs started showing and they just exploded from there. Hope your friend has a happy harvest too!
Hey Mark, thanks man. Yeah they grew into beauties, full of flavour. Harvest went well, cut them about 10 days after the last update. One plant in particular has a very intense smell, so I literally can't wait for the curing to finish and try it out :)
Congratulations on a successful Dinafem harvest on the grow diary platform and enjoy that dank and frosty end product mate 👌
