Wassup DWC Mania now!
Here is strain 2 in my DWC grow this year.
We got Apple Glitter from Irvine Seed Company in Cali. Supposed to be sticky icky and taste like Green Apples.
Already noticing a unique serrated first leaves coming up on her.
Time to make this girl Glitter for the camera.
So here we GO!
This girl is struggling. Her roots look good and spreading. Looks like she's recovering. New growth looks healthy. Could be nute burn or just deficiency due to roots not being formed fast enough. PH is spot on. Floating it from 5.8 to 6.4. Water Temps are higher than I'd like but I'm using Hydroguard because it's getting warmer here. Will need the AC soon.
It seems this one got root rot somehow. I changed the water, scrubbed the bucket real good and gave her fresh solution with hydroguard. The pythium was keeping her from uptaking nutes and water. The top leaves are trying to grow. I noticed a bunch of fresh roots coming from the net pot. I'm going to see if she'll recover.
Ok she's recovering. Roots look better than they did and are starting to grow root hairs again. I cut the lower dead leaves off. Looks like she's going to pull through.
She's fully recovered from the root issues that almost killed her. She's got a nice deep green color. Since she's way behind the others I'm not going to top her.
This plant is strange. Getting brown spots on lower leaves. One leaf is bi colored. The fan leaves grow kinda weird like upwards then slowly lay backwards.
The roots are looking good and she's drinking alot
I lowered the ppm a little. She's still having issues. Yellow tops, dark green leaves, yellowing on the leaf edges, twisting and curling leaves.
Either this is bad breeding, bad seed or this strain doesn't like hydroponics.
My other 3 plants are thriving and this one can't seem to pick up the pace.
Have to keep an eye on her make sure she don't herm.
Ok she looks even better.now. She still a slow grower but leaves are a nice deep green color now.
6/12 - I did a rez change. She wasn't drinking much last couple days. pH was not really changing and EC was 1.8
I lowered the EC to 1.2 now to see if she will start feeding again.
Removed the larger fan leaves to open up bud sites.
She's got budlets forming now.
Nice amount of trichromes forming early. Breeder says it gets a lot of trichromes.
She's really frosty. Her fan leaves are covered in trichromes. The buds are kinda small though. Root mass is lacking. Maybe due to the rough start she had. But she definitely turned out better than I'd thought.
There is an apple like smell when I rub the stems and smell.
She's a nice plant but has small flowers. Nice structure and trichromes are all over the flowers and leaves. She smells good maybe a little apple smell. Will test again in a few days.
This strain started off rough in DWC but recovered nicely. Root size is small. Bud size is small. On the other hand she's covered in trichromes. The fan leaves, stems.. all. Has a kinda apple smell. She didn't like the ppms being over 600 so definitely not a heavy feeder. I tried to keep it 500 to 600.
I hit it on the review because the flowers are very small. I'll update the rating once I try it out. Maybe the small buds will pack a punch.
Has very nice color in late flower during ripening.
