4202024 or backwards, it’s 4202024.
I’m sure there will be other palindromic dates in future, but this is the one and only stoner palindrome date that can happen in our lifetimes.
Thanks to Seedsman for the idea of a 420 grow-off and the chance to try some of the latest and greatest.
Anyway, started some Blueberry Pie F1 Fast seeds from Seedsman today. Very promising sounding genetics, and I’m very keen to see how she goes. Hopefully we won’t get as much wildfire smoke as we did last year.
The plan for this plant is a 16 cola manifold with force flowering (12 h darkness) starting in late July for a couple of weeks.
Starting in a glass of water on a heat mat at 25 C. Kept in dark using foil. I’ve decided to avoid plastic for the seed starting. Also, based on a science paper I saw this winter, I’m leaving a ripe apple in the dark with the seeds. Apparently the ethylene gas helps, but only in the dark before light is applied. Tried it with tomato and pepper plants and seems to work. First time trying with my cannabis seeds. Will add the reference to the paper some day.
Apr 22: moved into soil. Starting three seeds but I only have room for one plant. Will adopt out the other two.
Apr 25: removed foil cover (and apple) and set the plants beside the light that is going for tomatoes and peppers. The seedlings need minimal light at this stage so taking it easy.
Seems likely we’ll be past last potential frost day soon. 👍

Apr 28: all three seeds germinated strongly. Keeping the soil fairly dry this time and will focus on keeping them misted with water.
Historically I watered the soil before planting the seed, but I think that likely slows down root formation as my plants always looked slow to start. So, will try it with drier soil this time to see if things start faster.
Apr 30: some spring snow.
May 3: plants are a bit stretchy so I’m transplanting into bigger pots. Now in 1.5 L (approximately) pots. Used Pro-Mix with about 10~15% compost.
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
May 4: nice spring day so the plants were outside in the afternoon. Some direct sun but mostly in the small greenhouse to stay warm out of direct sun.
Still spraying with water to make up for low humidity, but also starting to water soil in a circle around the plant.
Using Monster Maxx this year. Used last year in my compost tea and the root balls were very dense and intricate so it seems to work as advertised. Will still be mostly used for compost tea but also according to label direction of 2 mL/L once a week.
May 5: mixing soil and sorting out grow bags for this year. Putting some spruce cones in the bottom to ensure air gets to the roots at the bottom. Indoor growers often use clay balls for this apparently but I’ve got lots of spruce cones handy and they’ll do the trick.
May 6: looking good with all three looking very similar at this early stage.
May 7: looking good. Room temp could be higher but oh well.
May 9: beautiful warm spring day so I decided to transplant the chosen seedling into the final container. It’s also now warm enough to stay outside overnight.

May 11: plant looks good and the bad colour in the pic is due to wildfire smoke. Seems happy in the final 5 gallon grow bag.
Today was overcast and smoky after two beautiful sunny spring days. First smoke of the season arrived at about 7 am this morning. This smoke is likely due to fires in northeast BC about 1000 km (600 miles) from here. Hopefully it won’t be as bad as last year.
May 13: air quality is better again. Plant is doing fine. Watered with Monster Maxx during afternoon.
May 16: cool and rainy today. There was some sun in the late afternoon. She’s looking good and off to a better start than most of my previous starts.
May 17: very cool and rainy again which is just as well for forest fires. We’ll take the rain, thanks.

May 18: starting the fourth week in much better shape than in previous years and about two weeks ahead of last year’s development.
Was only about 2 C overnight and frost is predicted tonight so everyone will be inside the house.
Foliar spray with Extreme Blend this morning.
The mini-greenhouse on the Veg-Trug is quite effective. It was about 8 C earlier today but it was about 23 C inside. It heats up very fast in direct sun and you have to leave it partially open to prevent wild overheating. That’s warmer than inside my house so all the plants are in the greenhouse today. Forecast low of 2 C overnight with a frost advisory so she’s back in the house overnight.
May 19: rainy and overcast with high of only 8 C today and tomorrow so the cannabis plants are staying inside for now.
May 20: been inside under light all day and likely tomorrow too. Just under cheapo LED grow light from Canadian Tire that works great for this purpose.
May 22: still cool but some sun so she’s back outside in the greenhouse this morning.
May 24: watered with Monster Maxx.
It was a cold week but she is still doing great. 👍 👍
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
May 25: looking healthy and happy. Nice progress considering it’s another week until the end of May.
May 26: raised soil level using Pro-Mix and compost. Got rained on a bit but moved beside house to avoid the heaviest rain which verged on being hail.
May 27: topped in morning. First round of topping in what will be a 16 cola manifold. Looking good as we’re about two weeks ahead of schedule.
May 31: been cool the last few days since the toppping. Watered this morning with Monster Maxx. Slow going since the topping but she’ll be fine.
Note that for all my diaries, I do pH adjustment with apple cider vinegar and add a dab of Dr Bronner’s Peppermint soap as a surfactant. That lowers the surface tension of the water allowing it to penetrate the soil more evenly. Also I’m always warming the water to help keep the roots happy in the cool weather.

June 1: looking good but the weather has been fairly cool which has slowed growth. I might have been a day or two too early doing the first topping, but this week will be a bit better. Forecast for second week looks great so there will be fast progress in the next two weeks.
Did a foliar spray of Extreme Blend in the morning.
June 3: rained a lot yesterday and that should continue for another day.
June 4: some rain again but sunny too.
June 7: back inside the house because it will be too cold for next two days. High of only 8 C tomorrow and the overnight low will be +1 C. A risk of frost is too much so back inside they go.
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
June 8: really cold here the last few days. Likely due to the heat dome now in SW states and Mexico. Overnight low of only 1 C tonight so the plants are indoors until conditions improve which should be soon.
June 9: it wasn’t as cold as forecast last night and stayed above 5 C with lowest being two nights ago at 3.3 C. Watered with 26 C water this evening to keep it warm a bit longer but overnight temps should be fine again now and she’s outdoors full time now.
June 10: watered this morning with first compost tea. Pic is from the evening and she’s looking really good. A few days ago I forgot to lower the pH of the city tap water and the biggest fan leaves show some of that pH swing damage. Oops. Looks good now though after the lazy compost tea.
Lazy compost tea is compost, molasses, some coco coir and some Monster Maxx. Let sit overnight but not so long that it goes anaerobic. It should smell fresh not sulphurous.
June 11: looks good after the compost tea.
June 13: to get the stems growing apart in preparation for another round of topping, I supercropped both stems, taped with floral tape, and then tied down using pipe cleaners and paper clips on the edge of the grow bag. Nice run-on sentence there.
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
June 15: looks really good and will do second round of topping tomorrow. The last 30 days have been cooler than the historic average, and last year was way above average. So, she’s doing great despite cool weather.
June 16: adjusted tie downs and watered with soluble seaweed extract.
June 17: second round of topping to make 8 colas done this morning. Will do another round in a week or two to get the final 16 cola layout I want.
June 20: released tie downs this morning. Looks really good on the last day of spring. Solstice and the photoperiods are right on schedule, unlike my two autos.
Made second compost tea as shown in video. Key things are blackstrap molasses (sugar and trace metals), good compost, and I use coco coir for something for the bacteria to physically live on (substrate or matrix).
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
June 22: nice weather has arrived and she’s ready to grow fast now. Entering the “inch a day” growth phase which is always fun. She’s done great so far considering how cool it has been so far this season.
She had a compost tea yesterday morning and is looking really great this morning.
June 22: tied down with Scrog net to leave eight growth tips at same elevation and exposed to sunlight.
June 25: looking good. Some leaves are a bit thick and wrinkly which could be a B deficiency but likely just excessively low humidity causing the leaves to dry a bit. Stepping up spraying the leaves to counteract the low humidity.
June 26: third and final round of topping done to complete the 16 cola manifold. Also removed lower growth tips so the plant puts all her energy into the new growth tips. Should be good. Adjusted SCROG net after topping.
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
June 29: watered with compost tea. Bacteria in these teas seem to help hold the water and I don’t need to water this too often or too much. Did a foliar spray of potassium silicate and soluble seaweed extract.
Fast growth phase happening now.
June 30: forecast for next week is hot and the week after is a bit hotter. Having made it through the cold spring, the plants should get a lot bigger over the next couple weeks.
July 1: nice fast growth now 👍👍
July 4: did foliar spray of Extreme Blend in the morning.
July 5: she’s doing great with strong vegetative growth. After the last round of topping the fan leaves got quite a bit bigger and the growth tips have been a bit slower to start growing than on my other photoperiod. Looking nice and green and growing fast. Waiting a few more days before starting another scrog layer.
She has grown 7 inches this week. I love the “inch a day” stage. 👍
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
July 6: looking good starting a new week. In a few days out I’ll add another scrog layer to space out the 16 colas.
July 7: draped a piece of scrog netting across the plant and exposed the growth tips while tucking in the fan leaves. Net is not tied down as I realize it doesn’t need to be. Will add another final scrog net in about two weeks. Hot weather forecast for next two weeks which is pretty much perfect timing. 👍👍
July 10: hot last three days (32 C) with a super high overnight low last night of nearly 20 C.
Added a second scrog layer to separate out the growth tips a bit further. Adding loose scrog net layers seems to be working quite well while maintaining the easy portability that I need to chase sunlight hours in my yard.
July 12: made it through the heat wave and now back to ideal cannabis temperatures. 👍. She looks really good this morning.
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
July 13: perfect cannabis weather after last week’s heat wave. Another heat wave next week, but for now it’s perfect.
Added a third scrog layer and tied it off to some water bottles. This type of scrogging works, is easy, cheap, and it’s easy to still move the plant around the yard as needed.
July 14: re-did the scrog net using a larger piece with more squares. Supercropped some ends to keep the growth tips at the same elevation. We’ll see how many colas I can make of this.
July 16: looks happy enough but I need to up the water volume in this heat.
July 18: really hot the last few days (33 C) so lots of watering and misting to keep them a bit cooler. Look really green and robust. 👍👍 Also wetting outside of grow bags to get some evaporative cooling for the soil.
Added malted barley and Power Bloom to some soil and added it as a soil layer. Added plain soil on the top to deter birds from stealing the barley kernels. A bit less than 1 tbsp of Power Bloom per 1 gallon of soil with a bit more than 1 tbsp of malted barley per gallon of soil.

#seedsmanseeds
July 20: smoke arrived this morning to go with our heat wave. Awesome.
Starting force flowering this evening. Will put plant in dark garage for 12 h darkness for a couple of weeks to initiate flowering. Already started flowering, but I really want to force it along to improve bud quality by having the buds ripen under stronger sun.
In dark garage by 9 pm followed by 730 nm far red light and then out at 7 am. The far red light is a bloom booster because it initiates dark mode 2 h faster and is like getting a 26 h day. So, 10 h in garage plus 2 h from far red light is 12 h darkness and 14 h of daylight. Rock on.
July 21: obvious stretch from overnight in the hot garage. Recorded as 14 h daylight with overnight temp listed as 24 C but it was easily 30 C when going into garage. Hot and smoky. Anyway, lots of misting and watering and seems to be doing great. Addded bloom nutes in top dressing at end of last week.
July 22: still too hot but she’s still managing to grow. Now up to 40”.
July 25: now 44” so four inches in three days.
July 26: notably large stretch overnight probably grew another inch. This Blueberry Pie was always neck and neck with my other photoperiod, but she is pulling ahead in height now that flowering is starting. So far so good.
Windy today and the plant was catching too much. Defoliated fan leaves in the middle so it’s not so much of a sail. Don’t really want o be removing fan leaves, but was best option. In ground or a bigger bag are not options so gotta make it work. Worth it to be able to move around in pursuit of direct sun.
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
July 27: start of second week of flowering and she is really stretching the last few days. Looks good.
It seems this F1 Fast plant is indeed quite fast flowering. Until last week, there was really no size difference with my other photoperiod that was started at the same time (Euphoria) but this Blueberry Pie is now about 7 inches taller.
With the flowering started last week, she should be done in early September which is great. We run out of strong enough sunlight before it gets too cold in October and the earlier the finish the better.
July 28: watered with Monster Maxx last night and with molasses this morning. Still misting leaves to counter low humidity during daytime. Watering a bit more than a litre several times a day as needed.
July 29: looking pretty dark green today and growing strong. Fairly hot again at 27 C so extra watering and grow bag spraying again. I’ll try to stick to water here for a bit to make sure she’s steady and not being over fertilized. I’m thinking she’s doing really well and this could be quite a big yielding plant. We’ll see.
Aug 1: about 28-29C today so pretty hot again. Bright strong sun all day and they were a bit wilted when I got home in late afternoon. Quick watering and misting with hose water on leaves got her back looking happy in no time.
Probably 7-8 L per day when hot which might seem low but the bacteria from the compost tea work to retain water and you don’t need to water so much.
Aug 3: this is a very promising looking plant. She’s quite big and flowering quite quickly which is a great combo.
She was the exact same size as my other photoperiod until the start of flowering two weeks ago, and now she’s bigger and flowering faster.
Humidity is quite low during the day so I’m continuing to mist the leaves a few times during the day. Did a foliar spray of Extreme Blend and potassium silicate this morning.
Aug4: did a major defoliation to remove small lower buds and stuff that was growing in toward the centre. This improves light penetration and air flow which are super important but also forces the plant to direct the energy where you want at the main colas, and not wasted down below.
Aug 5: lots of buds forming quickly on lots of decently uniform colas. Should be good.
Big rain last night but plants were in dark garage. Watered this morning with 27 C water that had blackstrap molasses, soluble seaweed extract, Monster Maxx and Cal-Mag. Did all four on the weak side of the standard concentrations listed and just 1L used on the plant. Much cooler today so she won’t need as much water.
Aug 6: added UV lights from AC Infinity. Very well deigned and manufactured like all of their gear. These are indoor lights so fair weather use only.
This far north (53 N) we run out of strong sunlight before it gets too cold in the fall. Idea is to use UV lights for a couple hours each day centred at peak sun (currently 1:39 pm). UV light is the main environmental limit on THC and this will make the light in Edmonton in September more like California in July. Should have a big impact this far north.
At other end of light spectrum, I use Forever Green Indoors (FGI) 730 nm far red light as a bloom booster. A few seconds at dusk is all it takes for the far red light. This is the third season using the far red light and it definitely works.

Aug 10: Blueberry Pie F1 Fast is doing great. Three weeks now moving her into the garage which is enough, and now I can just leave her in the yard which is easier and scores another couple hours of sunlight per day.
Nice solid start to flowering, and I like the schedule used this year for the force flowering. This strain is delivering on the promise of being big and fast.
Bright sunny day and I’ve got the UV lights on. About five hours today with the UV lights at mid-day. Buds are looking really good.
The bud development after 3 weeks is amazing. The buds got visibly much fatter just today. Compared to some fast plants in previous years, this one is about 2-3 weeks ahead. Very well suited to short season outdoor growing, but partially due to full darkness in the garage rather than just phyto-forcing with the far red light as I did last year. I’m still using the far red light, but putting them in the garage provides more darkness and helps get strong flowering started.
Aug 12: nice fat buds forming quickly, gotta like that.
Aug 14: fast, fast, fast. Flowers are progressing quickly.
Added three tablespoons of a 50:50 mix of Power Bloom and malted barley. Added as top dressing and then watered in.
Aug 16: cool, overcast all day, a bit of rain and smoky so not a nice mid-August day. Rain should help but out some fires in northeast BC, Yukon, and northwest Alberta. maybe. BC needs rain to break their record drought.
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
Aug 17: gotta love big fast plants. This is a nice big plant and the buds are forming very quickly.
Added a scrog net layer because I realized the buds are getting heavy already and will likely want more support. These loosely placed Scrog nets are working great and they make it easy to expose buds while tucking fan leaves out of the way.
Honestly, I can hardly believe how fast these buds are maturing. Very impressed.
Aug 18: another cool and slightly rainy day but at least it’s not so smoky. This new normal of ‘which town is gonna get burned this year?’ Is not fun at all. This year is was a third of the town of Jasper which is inside a national park.
Aug 21: this plant is awesome with really big buds forming quite quickly. The buds are starting to put on weight and the UV light is definitely helping to produce trichomes. 👍👍 I love this plant.
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
Aug 24: starting the sixth week of flowering and this Blueberry Pie F1 Fast is amazing. The development of the flowers has been very fast and they are nice and big and thickening quickly.
Thanks to Mrs.Larimar and I totally agree that these F1 hybrids are amazing.
Did a watering round with potassium silicate, and likely the last one but we’ll see.
Probably three weeks at most to go, so no more molasses and now mostly just pHed water to the finish line.
Did a final light application of malted barley and Power Bloom and watered in. Removed fan leaves that were growing inward and shading buds.
Aug 25: Flash pics are only okay when using a far red light after. Don’t take flash pics of plants unless you also have a red light. Having said that, I love taking flash pics of my plants.
Aug 26: sunny again but not too hot and had the UV lights going. To spread the UV around I rotate the plant 90 degrees three times. This seems to be okay. This plant is the furthest along in flowering so I’m giving it most of the UV light and the slower ones can wait until they’re closer to harvest.
Aug 27: she’s doing great. Up to 12 h of rain tonight with the potential for a pretty intense thunder or hail storm in middle of the night. All plants are in the garage tonight to ride it out.
Aug 28: spent last night in the garage to stay out of the all night rain that was forecast. Turned out to just be light rain. Overcast all day and no UV light today.
Aug 29: this plant is amazing, but I’ve said that before. The other day I noticed that some branches on the side are heavy enough that they are now slumping against the SCROG net. Fun to see that.
The flowers are noticeably bigger each day and she still looks very happy. She is also becoming quite top heavy but the water bottle weights and five gallon pails of water hold it stable in the winds.
Aug 31: now done six weeks of flowering. Started force flowering by putting her in the dark garage for 10 h plus two hours of bonus darkness by using a 730 nm far red light at dusk as a bloom booster. After three weeks of moving in and out of garage I’ve just been using the red light at dusk. I use Civil Twilight as listed on dateandtime.com for my location. Civil Twilight is getting earlier by about 3 min per night and will be at 9 pm tonight.
Awesome plant should be 2-3 weeks to finish and the weather forecast is perfect for next two weeks. Should be a strong finish, and we’re still in August. Awesome.
Sep 1: flowers are huge and progressing quickly. The top buds seemed to change colour a bit today. Overnight temperatures are still above 10 C so no purple colour showing yet. Maybe right at the end in a couple of weeks she’ll show some extra colour.
Sep 3: buds are getting big, dense and sticky. Perfect.
Sep 4: flash pics are okay if using the 730 nm far red light right after. If you don’t have a red light, don’t take flash pics of your photoperiod plants. Nice big buds are quite hard too. Very nice.
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
Sep 7: what a great plant. Totally love how it’s going. Flowers keep getting fatter and heavier and she’ll be done before the end of September.
Sep 8: there a tree root sticking up a bit in my yard which means the plant can be tilted toward the late afternoon sun. This is helpful because the sun is getting really low to the horizon already and we’re down to 13 h of daylight. Plus now direct sun is done in my yard by about 6 pm. Indirect light is okay but you really want direct sun at all times.
Videos shows use of 730 nm far red light at dusk. Just a few seconds is all it takes to set the plant into dark mode two hours faster. It’s a bloom booster because you get two bonus hours of darkness or a 26 h day. Very effective but don’t miss a night and you have to adjust the timing each night.
When starting this on July 20 Civil Twilight, as listed on timeanddate.com for my location, was at 9:45 and today it was at 8:40 pm. The red light at dusk is a highly recommended trick if you have daily access to your outdoor plants. Also works indoors, of course, and on autos too.
Also I think it helps ‘stabilize’ the plant by emphatically putting it into dark mode, and therefore less susceptible to stray light to cause a hermie. Have not had hermie problems in four seasons of using the red light so that is my only ‘proof’ but it is true so far, even with taking flash pics before using the red light.
Sep 9: getting heavier and now more branches are weighed down and slumping against the scrog net. Nice problem to have, I know, and without the scrog net some of the branches would be breaking off now.
She’s now officially too big and too top heavy to keep moving around the yard in pursuit of direct sun. Sun is much lower to horizon now and direct sun hours are dropping too.
Sep 10: getting close to done and getting very top heavy. Awesome.
Sep 12: raining today. Has been cool last few nights and some purple colour is just starting to show.
I don’t want to overdo fertilizer near the end, but I decided she is showing K deficiency. I’m out of malted barley but I still have potassium silicate, so I used that and some cal-mag. I’m avoiding kelp and molasses or using more P at this late stage because that can make the dried bud hard to burn and that really sucks. So, potassium silicate and cal-mag it is. The potassium silicate raises the pH and it takes about the same volume of vinegar to get the pH down. A good does of acetate is likely good for the bugs in the soil too. Then a squirt of Dr Bronners soap as a surfactant and that also supplies some biodegradable carbon for the bugs in the soil. Seems to work overall and is cheap.
Apologies for the large number of pics, but she’s so photogenic. 😎

Sep 14: starting the ninth week of flowering and getting close to the finish. Buds are still putting out new pistils and definitely packing on weight. Also cool nights lately so there is some purple and blue colour starting.
This is one of my favourite all time grows, and possibly the best.
Sep 15: she is definitely packing on weight and if there was no support the outer manifold branches would be collapsing. Every single day I’m amazed at the daily progress on this plant. Definitely this year’s star.
Sep 17: still going. New flowers are still forming so she’ll be going a bit longer. I want her done by the end of September if possible. Not that I’m complaining about more flower growth it’s just the sun gets weak and then it often gets too cold by mid October. I want ripe buds and not stragglers.
Sep 18: I was thinking to start harvesting this weekend but the flowers are still blooming so I’ll put it off at least another week.
Sep 20: some rain overnight the last few day. I have shaken the branches to get off excess water, but I found two small patches of bud rot (identified by dead leaves) that were removed and I then harvested the nearby bud. 49 g wet bud now hanging. These buds are huge and likely slow to dry thoroughly.
#seedsman420growoff
#seedsmanseeds
Sep 21: harvested the tops total wet buds 1.460 g which should be good for about 360 g dried. Was considering waiting another week but I spotted a few more signs of bud rot. Caught it early and it makes almost no difference to final yield, but if it had been left another week as I intended it would have been a big problem.
This is because the buds are so big and tight that they don’t fully dry out after some rain. We’ve had some rain this past week and cool nights. Glad that I harvested the tops today even though I wanted another week. Now the lower buds have 10 days to harvest by end of September.
Sep 22: there are more lower buds than I thought and should be good for more than 150 g dried so likely in the low 500 g range when fully harvested. We’ll see.
Just watering with warmed water that is pH adjusted using Apple cider vinegar. Except for this evening when I included some cal-mag and a half dose of potassium silicate. Just plain pHed water from now on.
Sep 23: nice colour has arrived on the buds due to cool overnight temperatures. I didn’t realize it was only 2.9 C the other night. Supposed to warm up again for the next week.
Saw a dead leaf and investigated…another one with bud rot. There was no salvaging that fairly large bud so it went into the compost. Shaking off the buds after rain helps but sometimes that’s not enough.
Ran freeze dryer yesterday and trimmed them this morning. Buds are always too dry out of the dryer and have to be re-hydrated a bit. Left in cardboard box with some moist paper towels and two giant humidity pack (each supposedly good for one pound of bud).
Sep 24: buds are nicely dried and ready for curing. Total 374 g dried buds in 12.5 jars and that’s just the tops with about 40% of the buds still ripening on the plant. Will be well over a pound of high grade bud from one plant in a 5 gallon bag in Northern Canada (53N latitude) and done by end of September. Woohoo.
Sep 27: looking great and will harvest the remaining lower buds this weekend. Had in garage last couple nights to avoid overnight rain. No further signs of bud rot so it was a good choice.
Decided to harvest tomorrow, which is Saturday, cuz the weather gets shittier on Sunday. Growing outdoor sometimes means calling it before you’d like but she’s ready now.
Update on cold cured hash.
Not sure how much bud actually got used but I got a ridiculously high recovery rate of something like 12-13% of dried resin from fresh frozen flowers. My extraction method was much better this year using the garden hose rather than small amounts of RO water. Any chloroform from city water came out in the freeze dryer after the washing step. Will do it this way again.
Tightly wrapped and sealed jar in back of fridge for about six weeks. Final hash is Interesting but hard and kind of like a concentrate (?) rather than traditional hash. This was 45-120 mesh resin but maybe next time will try 70-90 or whatever filter sizes I have available. Will also try to harvest and freeze a bit quicker. Temple balls are great too, not sure I have a preference.
Been using hash in a Pax Plus vape and I like it very much. I love the heat from a joint or pipe but the vape clearly tastes cleaner. Great stuff.
So yeah, all four plants this year together produced over 130 g of hash from this years crop plus lots of flower to make it through to next year. lol.
Hash making is great fun on top of the great fun of growing. Worth trying if you’re at all interested.
Absolutely loved growing this Blueberry Pie F1 Fast from Seedsman. Always big and fast right from the start. Buds were huge and nicely dense.
First round of 1340 g wet yielded 372 g dried buds and second round of 1190 g was surprisingly large and also high quality. Final dry weight of 632 g which is pretty damn good for northern Canada (53 N latitude at Edmonton) by the end of September using just a 5 gallon grow bag. Most of this will be used as flower, but some of this will be made into hash. Will update further with hash making in a few weeks.
Very impressed with this F1 strain and looking forward to trying another one next year, like maybe Gorilla Gas F1 Fast.
Blueberry Pie F1 Fast is a great strain. Congrats to Seedsman on these big, fast and tasty genetics, and thanks for letting me try it.
