Hello Growmies, Welcome to Week Zero of our new grow diary featuring Gary Payton by Barney's Farm. This strain is named after the legendary basketball player, and just like its namesake, it's known for its robust performance and potency. Gary Payton is a balanced hybrid, resulting from the cross between The Y and Snowman, which delivers a unique blend of effects—elevating the mood with a pleasant cerebral high that transitions into a relaxing body feel. Its aroma is rich, combining sweet, earthy notes with undertones of coffee and spices, all draped in thick resin. Sadly, out of the five seeds started, only two have germinated. These seedlings will begin their life journey in my small veg box under the nurturing light of the GCX 5 Solo LED. This setup is ideal for their early development, providing the perfect spectrum of light to foster growth without stress. Once they're strong enough, they'll be moved to the expert setup tent. This environment is optimized with high-end equipment to closely simulate perfect growing conditions: Main Lighting: Mars Hydro FC4800 complemented by two Mars Hydro UR45 bars for superior light distribution. Ventilation: Prima Klima Eco Blue 160 exhaust fan to maintain fresh air circulation. Climate Control: Includes an infrared heat mat by Salter (which may not be necessary), a 6L humidifier by Spider Farmer, and a small intake fan. All elements are meticulously controlled by the TentX by TrollMaster for precise environmental regulation. Future Plans: The plants will be transplanted to their 12.5L forever homes once in the tent and will later be topped and scrogged to optimize their growth and yield.
