Mimosa Auto - Wedding Cake Auto - RQS - BioBizz - Soil - DIY Tent
Starting my first-ever grow...in germany!
I would love to get some tips or suggestions on the process!
---- update: DIYed my tent with all the equipment and seeds for roughly 275 Euros in total!
26.04.24
Sowing:
Growing in 8-liter pots with BioBizz light mix.
Tent: (70*50*160)cm, 2 layers of emergency blanket
Added water 24 hours before sowing. (1.7 liters for 8 liters of soil -- Roughly 1 to 5 ratio)
I used eazy plugs which I've soaked in water and then directly placed into the pots.
Covered the seeds with a thin layer of soil and a plastic hood.
I started with a temperature of 19°C and got up to 20°C.
-- Can't figure out how to increase the temperature properly. I'm now trying to turn on the lamp for some temperature increase. I will update you on how that turned out.
---- update: Turned on the Radiator next to my tent. I don't know why I haven't thought about that earlier. Right now the temperature is at 28°C -_-
Tomorrow I will moisten the soil and chill out.

Wedding Cake has germinated 24 hours after sowing. Waiting for the first little bit of green.
I had trouble with the Mimosa Auto in the eazyplug. It didn't want to start germinating. I then placed the seed between two paper towels, moistened them, and placed them in a plastic bag. After a few hours, the shell began to split. Will probably plant the seed soon.

Both plants came out! I'm very happy about that. At some point, I was worried that the mimosa seed is bad...

Two days ago, when I looked at the wedding cake, I saw two white ends on the small real leaves. (I posted a picture of it)
-- I then searched the internet and found that this could have something to do with the over-fertilization of the Bio bizz light mix. Then I put some soil without nutrients on the roots and waited a day. The white spots have disappeared.
But now another problem remains. The stem of the wedding cake is quite long (6-7cm). I searched online and found that it has to do with the proximity of the lamp. I dug the plant deeper, as roots still seem to be able to grow below the first node. I set the lamp to 60 percent and adjusted the proximity to 13 cm. I also set up a small fan that should help to strengthen the stem. Hope this helps.
Will update in a few days!
Another week has started!
I raised the lamp to 30 cm over the leaves. I turned the intensity up to 100% and currently, I'm running my exhaust fan from 7 in the morning until 1 at night, with intervals of 1 hour turned off and half an hour turned on.
My internal fan is turned on all the time.
No nutrients at the moment. I'm thinking of starting in the next few days.
