The Case of the Overdosing Indica: Act I - A Seed Takes Root
The dame walked in with a name that promised oblivion - Auto Overdose. Divine Seeds, they called themselves. Angels of agriculture or peddlers of paranoia? I never was one for trusting labels.
This dame, though, she whispered of effects that tickled my curiosity:
Classic Indicas, she said, left trembling in their oversized leaves.
Experienced stoners? Sent packing with a one-way ticket to dreamland.
Now, I'm a Sativa man myself, always have been. But the shadows hold their own mysteries, and this dame, Auto Overdose, she seemed to be woven from them.
Planted her with a single day's grace, just one seed to test the waters. Sprout poked its head through the soil like a green-fingered gremlin, faster than a double-cross. Didn't stretch for the sky like the usual suspects, this one. Kept itself low, broad-shouldered, like a dame packing a heater in her purse. Seems there's more to this story than meets the eye. Stay tuned, folks, this one could get hazy.
****A HUGE Thank You to Divine Seeds for sponsoring this grow. They sent me a couple of seeds for this year's grows. Auto Overdose is going to be the star of this show. Hope you enjoy this film noir themed diary,****
Week 10: No flower (see pics).
Growth is great – shot up 20cm this week!
But still no sign of flowering. Starting to think this "auto" label is unreliable.
Can I do anything to force flower?
Limitation:
- outdoor grow
- weekend visits only
- no indoor irrigation
Hello SubliminalSociety,
Your plant is pre flowering already. She will start showing her white pistils and bud forming soon.
And no there is nothing you can do to trigger the flowering phase. The only thing you can do is making sure that the plant does get 12 hours darkness in a tent for example.
But I would say, let it go, let it grow, you are doing great so far!
Happy Growing! 💚
You can always force flowering by putting her in the dark for 12 hours a night for a couple of weeks to initiate flowering. That might be better than waiting, depending on your latitude, and how your investigation is going. Good luck.
@Northern_Ent, Interesting. I have nothing with complete darkness but could put her in the garage for two days while I'm there. Yeah, autumn tends to get very wet, so I was baking on my autos to deliver by mid-August. I'll give it a go. Thank you!!
Congrats on the successful germination 🌲 hope the rest of your grow is trouble free. I’m sure as soon as she is used to her new home she will explode into growth 💪
