The Case of the Overdosing Indica: Act II - Week 10, The Green Getaway Driver (and Still No Flowers)
Auto Overdose? More like Auto-Overgrow at this point. This dame shot up a whole 20cm this week, faster than a getaway driver with a hot tailpipe. Looks like sunshine and a little tough love were just what the doctor ordered. Though, let's be honest, folks, this ain't exactly the "indica" physique I was promised. Starting to think this "autoflower" business is about as reliable as a snitch with a suspended sentence.
Had to keep the shears handy this week too. New shoots popping up like uninvited guests at a speakeasy. Gotta keep things focused, right? This dame needs to channel all her energy into the main event, not some sideshow distractions.
But the big question remains unanswered. Still no sign of those flowers. Is this some kind of genetic prank, or am I stuck with a rogue green giant on my hands?
Stay tuned, folks, the plot's got more twists than a double-crossing dame in a red dress, (now try and say that three times!), and the suspense is thicker than fog in a London alley.
Week 10: No flower (see pics).
Growth is great – shot up 20cm this week!
But still no sign of flowering. Starting to think this "auto" label is unreliable.
Can I do anything to force flower?
Limitation:
- outdoor grow
- weekend visits only
- no indoor irrigation
Hello SubliminalSociety,
Your plant is pre flowering already. She will start showing her white pistils and bud forming soon.
And no there is nothing you can do to trigger the flowering phase. The only thing you can do is making sure that the plant does get 12 hours darkness in a tent for example.
But I would say, let it go, let it grow, you are doing great so far!
Happy Growing! 💚
You can always force flowering by putting her in the dark for 12 hours a night for a couple of weeks to initiate flowering. That might be better than waiting, depending on your latitude, and how your investigation is going. Good luck.
@Northern_Ent, Interesting. I have nothing with complete darkness but could put her in the garage for two days while I'm there. Yeah, autumn tends to get very wet, so I was baking on my autos to deliver by mid-August. I'll give it a go. Thank you!!
Congrats on the successful germination 🌲 hope the rest of your grow is trouble free. I’m sure as soon as she is used to her new home she will explode into growth 💪
