The Case of the Overdosing Indica: Act II - Week 6, Sun's Out, Buds...? (Nowhere to be Found)
Brandenburg's sunshine streak continues, bright enough to fry a crook's alibi. Auto Overdose, gotta hand it to her, is thriving like a dame with a winning lottery ticket. Bushier than a snitch with a guilty conscience, leaves sprawling everywhere with room to spare.
But here's the rub, folks. Still no sign of those flowers we were promised. This dame's supposed to be an autoflower, self-starting and all that jazz. But right now, she's acting more like a dame who likes to take her sweet time. Starting to wonder if this "Overdose" is all smoke and mirrors. Stay tuned, folks, the plot's got more twists than a double-crossing dame in a red dress.
Week 10: No flower (see pics).
Growth is great – shot up 20cm this week!
But still no sign of flowering. Starting to think this "auto" label is unreliable.
Can I do anything to force flower?
Limitation:
- outdoor grow
- weekend visits only
- no indoor irrigation
Hello SubliminalSociety,
Your plant is pre flowering already. She will start showing her white pistils and bud forming soon.
And no there is nothing you can do to trigger the flowering phase. The only thing you can do is making sure that the plant does get 12 hours darkness in a tent for example.
But I would say, let it go, let it grow, you are doing great so far!
Happy Growing! 💚
You can always force flowering by putting her in the dark for 12 hours a night for a couple of weeks to initiate flowering. That might be better than waiting, depending on your latitude, and how your investigation is going. Good luck.
@Northern_Ent, Interesting. I have nothing with complete darkness but could put her in the garage for two days while I'm there. Yeah, autumn tends to get very wet, so I was baking on my autos to deliver by mid-August. I'll give it a go. Thank you!!
Congrats on the successful germination 🌲 hope the rest of your grow is trouble free. I’m sure as soon as she is used to her new home she will explode into growth 💪
