Tough week all around tbh, but both are in pre-flowering now.
#2 was looking a bit unhappy with drainage issues and whatnot in the plastic pot, so early on also I moved it to a 5L fabric pot.
Started having some issues looking like calcium and potassium deficiencies. I was afraid of giving them too many nutrients so I had gone several waterings without any feedings. Fed both with bio-grow (which has potassium) and calmag late into the week, which over few days didn't seem to help with the dying leaves (which looked sadder by the day) but at least kept the rest going strong enough. Perhaps being a bit too careful, I cut off the leaves that were looking bad and were getting worse, so if they had some form of infection or whatever they'd minimally harm the rest of the leaves. This is giving some smaller leaves near the bottom of #1 a chance to stretch and grow, which is good to see.
Even after the defoliation #1 seems to be doing fine, still growing, doing its pre-flowering stretch, and #2 (which needed less leaf removal) is doing even better, it reached almost the height of #1.
I upgraded my carbon filter and added an intake fan, but just the tiny bit of smell that leaks overnight can be rather intense. Thankfully opening the window for a bit is sufficient.
Posting this on day 24, updated diary til day 22. In the pictures I haven't yet added (for week 4) the plants have done fine. I'll feed them again tomorrow.
Wish me luck with the next weeks!
@gottagrowsometime, thanks, what makes you think that my pH is low, the droopy leaves?
My plan was to only give nutrients every few waterings, so when I water tomorrow I'll water with around ~7 pH, should normalize hopefully. I'll pH test the mixture with biogrow now.
edit: the pH on the water-nutrient mixture looks good actually, 6.5ish.
