Day 2: Quite a bit of root growth occurred today, the seedling is doing really well.
Day 3: So far so good. I had a bunch of seeds bomb out before this and I'm glad that things are starting to look up again. 😄
Day 4: I've planted two more seeds into the same pot for the purposes of germination and made a new pot with two other seeds in that one. Starting to try the sea of green.👍
Seeing some great growth and colour in the plant, overall I'm really happy with the results. I've ordered myself some growth lights from GearBest to help the seedlings get on their feet. Anybody ever used their lights and do they work? (LEDs)😊
So I was just having a good look at my plants today, when I noticed that one of the girls looked different! She has three leaves instead of the usual two appearing! I realized it was odd when I saw that she also had three cotyledons instead of the normal and natural two! So I did my research and it's called either whorled phylotaxy or a polyploid (which I figured from the start).😄
So obviously, I'm a first time grower and a newbie to it all, and I'm not sure if these girls are ready to be moved outside yet, or are they still a bit too small? Should I wait for a second pair of true leaves?✊
The girls have stopped growing in the box and I assume it's due to them not having all of the proper and correct light conditions. So, I will be moving them outside in the next couple of days, as soon as I have built them a greenhouse. 👍
