I started with the LST and cut away a pair of fan leaves.
I have also taken away their crown and hung the light a little higher after measuring the light.
I hope to balance out the lateral alignment of the plants with the lower new shoots. wish me luck.
Week 4 was starting with some grow automation.
I‘ve added a smart Thermometer and Hydrometer. With some smart plugs all thrown into home Assistant it regulates temperature and humidity.
I plan to give them another two weeks or so before starting flower cycle.
No more LST for now.
I have hung the lamp a little higher so that they stretch a little more in height.
A net was stretched 50 cm above the ground, approx. 35 cm above the pot.
The plan is to let them grow until the net is filled with green.
It was switched to flowering.
The plants now only get 12 hours of light.
To counteract the temperatures in summer, the light is on at night.
A lot of foliage and the lower stems have been removed.
Now I just let them grow.
The first signs of flowering can already be seen on the critical.
The plants are growing well. Flowers are clearly visible on both.
The temperatures are rather cold at this time of year in Germany.
Lets see what the next weeks will bring.
There is not really much to report. The temperatures are rising. The fertilizer regime has been completely switched to flowering and the flowers seem to be developing well.
Humidity could be a problem. That's why I removed some of the upper leaves. I am also hoping for a small light advantage for the lower inflorescences. The critical shows signs of something. Leafs getting brown tips. The white window also, but less so. Any ideas what they are trying to tell me?
The two plants are growing well. The critical is slightly higher than the widow.
I have turned the exhaust fan up a notch to get the humidity under control. At least I am now constantly below 75%. I've also moved the exhaust air hose further away from the tent, unfortunately I can't go directly out of the window.
Humidity remains a problem. The ventilation openings have been opened further.
Temperatures are also rising. But I can compensate for this well with the light time from 0-12.
Let's see how much longer they need.
We are slowly coming to the end.
I start washing up. Temperatures have risen. I can't get the humidity any lower with my little airing.
The critical has developed better than the widow.
I will probably harvest separately and leave the widow a little longer.
We are now at flowering day 49 and the harvest is near, at least for the critical. I will leave the White widow for another week or two.
The deficiency symptoms are more to be expected, I'm not adding any more nutrients. Humidity remains a problem. At least the temperature is okay.
Next week I will harvest the Critical.
It could probably have stood for a week longer. However, I am more than satisfied with the quantity. I won't be able to judge the quality for another 3-4 weeks.
