My First Attempt with fem photoperiodic Super Critical Skunk
I staretd flushing yesterday for a quite early harvest (before leaving home for holidays). Unfortunately, I got to harvest on june the 5th, 14 days left.
I got to harvest in 14 days: in order to have enough time to cure it before leaving home for 2 weeks (safety first: is a period of floods in here, I just can't take the risk). I had a pretty long vegetative stage but I'm gonna finish it at 13 weeks. Am I gonna ruin it it, right?
they will not be finish in two weeks, but if no chance to extend, do it, it will be still smokable, just give good cure time, after few month all early harvest harshness should downgrade, i was few times in similar situations when holidays force me, you will loose weight, bottoms will be underdeveloped, but its still your own weed ! be proud !
Small plant suffered much on a overwatering than underwatering days (I was busy, she was jealous), big one is in health but she's flowering slowly.
Today I'm gonna flush with plain water.
I gotta harvest in 5 days.
It seems to me that the small one has very few amber trichomes, big one is gonna be havested before maturation but I'll be away from home for too long so I have to finish the entire process of harvesting and drying in 13 days from now. Wish me luck.
UPDATE
I harvested the small plant on 81th day from bloom, 34 th day of flowering because she was not recovering well from over/under watering... I probably figured out why.
I am gonna try re-grow. I found out washing the plant that:
- the jiffy disc i used to germinate was still intact and very strong. I was supposed it ended up degradating completely but it is not: whats a disaster: roots hardly made way and developed on a 90°angle.
- pot was too small, even with problematic growth, it was quite balled.
Considering this, she made a great job.
Harvesting the big one in 72 hours. I'm gonna try the 48 h aggro light on method.
HARVEST: day 85 from seed, 38 of flowering. As planned because of my holiday, I harvested today. It is probably early but I had no choice. Checking with my magnifiying glass, I found very few amber trichomes so I cut the second (bigger) sister. I had no time left anyway, let's go.
Buds from the first plant are drying well and decreasing their volume. Not very fat buds, but I'm proud about it. I trimmed away excess as much as I could. I'm going to save all the trimmings (green leaves too) in order to make some cannabutter/edibles and also try revegetate.
DRYING: five days in the tent, five in the box, then in the jar.
CANNABUTTER: made it yesterday and it seeems very clean. Tasted it with wholegrain spaghetti with garlic and oil, it works.
