High_And_Hydro The first legal outdoor grow, it's finally happening.
I germinated as always using cotton pads and still have a 100% germination rate with this method. There's nothing better.
I prepared the soil 3 months ago, and it's a mix of 1-year-old light mix, compost, and expanded clay without any special ratio. I planted a few test plants to see if the soil is any good and if I might face other problems.
The nutrients seem to be okay, and I haven't been able to detect any root rot or other diseases.
The big problem, however, was the slugs, as they ate almost all the seedlings. So I spread slug pellets and decided to start them indoors so they wouldn't be too small and defenseless when exposed. I've tried this with tomatoes and peppers now, and it seems to be working.
They will also get slug collars as soon as I put them outside.
The Tropicana Cookies was in the middle range in terms of germination speed, and it looks good and healthy.

High_And_Hydro - I started the first week of the Biobizz Allmix feeding schedule and, as always, I'm starting with a cautious 100%, since my soil should be quite potent due to the compost.
- I also adjusted my tap water with my Calmag calculator. You can see the values in the pictures.
- I'm also adjusting the pH to 6.5.
- The lamp is currently providing a PPFD value of about 350 - 360 µmol/s/m² with 18 hours of light (DLI of 22 - 23 mol/d/m²). However, it will only be used until it stays warm enough outside. During the day, they're already outside unless it's raining or storming.
The Tropicana Cookies is doing excellently and is very uniform with the other Fastbuds strains so far. Looks good, I think 💪😄👍

High_And_Hydro This week we're going outside because the weather is nice and the ice saints are over.
The Tropicana Cookies has moved into its final pot and is now the first to swim in the outdoor pool.
The system consists of 2 solar panels. The left one runs a small air pump and even has a built-in battery, so it continues to pump even after sunset. However, it doesn't make it until the next morning.
The performance is rather moderate, but I got everything I could out of it by using a different hose and a more permeable air stone.
The right solar panel operates a small pond fountain, which I let spray directly against the lid. This way, the nutrient solution runs along the lid and the pot, getting a lot of surface area. I hope to enrich the nutrient solution with oxygen and keep it moving as much as possible, like in a RDWC.
The panel isn't particularly powerful, so the pump actually only works when the sun is shining. We'll find out if that's enough in this experiment. 😅
I also insulated the bucket by putting a 40L fabric pot over it. The shade protects the black bucket from the sun. The stones on the lid also shield it and retain some heat in the evening, so the bucket fluctuates in temperature more slowly and hopefully a bit less. However, I will probably build a cover since I'm very dissatisfied with the appearance.

High_And_Hydro After 7 weeks of rain and cold weather she is producing buds.
The purple looks nice and its a bit sad that the snails ripped some branches off in her early days.
The roots are looking good for the setup and for the circumstance, that the nutrient solution wasn´t changed in 2 weeks.
In this week i switched from Canna PK13/14 to Canna Mono Potassium.
I put one seed in cotton and one directly in the final pot, since that's how you're supposed to do it with auto seeds. The one I put directly in the soil showed much faster growth.
